Beware! This company has become a scam!

Do not buy from this company! I placed an order on 6/13/24, which was supposed to arrive by 6/24/24, but I have yet to receive it as of today, 9/10/24. Even weirder, they sent me an email on July 1st stating that the order had shipped, however according to USPS and the Shop app, USPS is still waiting to receive the package from Anese.

Since mid July, I’ve sent Anese 5 emails and about as many social media DMs, but have only received automated responses from their Instagram (which just advise me to email them). I’ve even tried commenting on their public social media posts and calling the number listed on their IG page, but no luck (and the number goes straight to a generic voicemail, which is full).

What’s especially frustrating, and shady, is that I continue to receive new marketing emails from them almost every week and they regularly update their Facebook and Instagram pages.

Today, I found an Anese customer’s Instagram page that documents many other similar experiences, including one that states that the company may have gone under back in May! I am inclined to believe this because they used to have a customer service live chat option on their website, and even a customer service text feature, which are both now gone, yet it appears that you can still submit payment as of today. So, I submitted reports to the FTC and BBB today, but I’m not optimistic that I will get my money back at this point.

It’s really a shame because I’ve ordered successfully from them many times over the past several years with no issue and the products were great (this is why I gave them the benefit of the doubt for so long this time).

So disappointed

I have made many purchases in the past from Anese and never had an issue. On April 7th I placed an order and sent a follow up inquiring about the status and received no response. Sent a follow up and I got a response saying “ The delay in shipping your order is due to unexpected challenges and disruptions in our fulfillment process, particularly stemming from severe weather conditions and operational issues at our main fulfillment center. These circumstances have led to prolonged restock and order processing delays, impacting orders placed within that timeframe” I gave them my order Order #AS2740 and still nothing. I have sent multiple emails and have received one response in May saying they were sending my package. Nothing arrived and I have been emailing them since then and radio silence.

Very disappointing knowing that they built a clientele to then just ruining their reputation and business.

Charge you and ghost you

Didn’t even know I had a subscription to anything then out of nowhere got a confirmation and saw my cc was charged. I didn’t care because I liked the product. But months later, the product never arrived, the order link is invalid, my login has no info about an order or a subscription and they have ignored all of my emails. I can take it up with my cc but I’m worried they’ll keep charging me and ghosting me. Unbelievable.

Literally take your money and throw it in the trash instead

As of 2024, this company is a fraud and knowingly taking new orders and customers money that they can’t fulfill.

I had been using Anese for a long time. In February 2024 I placed an order that didn’t arrive until May. Every time I reached out inquiring for a status update - I was told they had an issue with warehouse damage and it was on the way. They took the fraudulent step of creating a shipping label to look like a package was getting ready to go and it sat for another four weeks.

I didn’t realize I had an auto order on and was charged for another product in May. It’s August and I’ve sent exactly 25 emails (auto send each morning) and no response. IG messages direct you to the non responsive email address. Comments on IG are turned off.

They are still sending marketing emails and running “deals” when orders are outstanding and just ghost you. Literally you might as well light your money on fire because they just take it and there’s no recourse ord action for you. I’ve filed two BBB complaints. Do not buy!

This “business” is a scam

This “business” is a scam. I tried to order the viral ‘Down With The Thickness’ mask over a month ago but I have still not received it. All emails have gone unanswered.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Also, shame on SHOP for continuing to provide sales support to this scam business!

I placed an order (#33021) and paid $96.80 for my product and expedited shipping. It never arrived. No shipping info. No nothing. No one ever responds to my emails (or messages on IG/FB). Really friggin upset.

over three months and no package

I ordered the booty scrub from Anese in April of this year and have yet to receive my order. There has been no response from Anese and they have blocked all for,m of communication on their social media.

Wish I could give zero stars

Wish I could give zero stars! Same experience as everyone else. Has been almost four months now with no sign of the items I ordered. Lost over $50 on this scam of a website, zero reliable communication, refused to give me a refund even though they can't fulfill my order. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I have been trying to cancel my subscription for months and customer service will not respond to me. I have disputed charges with my credit card and they still keep charging me. Your phone number doesn’t work. There’s nowhere on the website to cancel. Extremely frustrating and would never recommend. Do better.

They just take your money

Used to be a good company with good products but if you purchase items now they will not send them to you yet still charge you. My last order was over 3 months ago, they charged me, they send the same pre-written emails if you email customer service, items never came. DONT ORDER FROM THEM, save your money.

BAD BUSINESS

I've purchase items from this company for the past few years never delt with this before purchased in may got my order confirmation email and that's it I've sent multiple emails with no response they keep sending me emails for ads but won't send my package or at least update me to let me know why it's taking so long, I spent almost 200 dollars on products on May 20th that they never sent, like if yall were having some issue with shipping why are you still taking our hard earned money. This is bad business and yall need to be sued!

Unexpected arrival

Got my review after three months… customer service helped at first. They said it would ship out next day after I reached out three weeks in. Very surprised it even came but I already disputed the charge, they’ve really gone down hill.

Doesn’t ship out products yet charges you

Will ship your automatic subscription and never send your products, the subscription site is closed so you can't access it, they will continue to bill and not ship, and customer service is nonexistent. This used to be a reputable company, not anymore.

Non-responsive customer service, won’t cancel subscription

I have tried to cancel my subscription for 5 months with no success. Their webpages for help and FAQ no longer exist and their help desk is no longer active so there is no other way to cancel a subscription except cancel through the credit card. This is ecommerce malpractice. Don’t trust them with your data.

Fraudulent Company

Took money and never sent order. Will not refund. Had to dispute with credit card company after 4 months of no resolution with Anese. They still send marketing emails even though they won't fulfill past due shipments.

Zero recourse - this is a scam company

I had a monthly subscription that I previously had no issues with. My last order was placed in mid March and I still haven’t received it. I have written multiple times and gotten the same generic form response saying they are “personally looking into” my order and I should get an update in 3 days. Nothing. What a sham. Definitely will not purchase from this company again and would not advise others to.

This company is the WORST

This company is the WORST! I ordered in January, finally did receive in May, so I have gotten a couple of automated emails to leave reviews. When I tried, it says the store doesn't exist. They've deactivated the ability to post reviews to their website. They also deleted my order history in my account when I log in. And the fact that they are blocking people's emails who are asking about order status?! This is so shady. Here's the review I tried to leave: I received my order nearly 5 months late. I actually haven't even tried the products yet, because I've lost interest. I needed them in February (placed the order in January) and they came in May. To be honest, I don't care how well they work, I'll never make another purchase from Anese again. They refuse to be transparent, so I don't know why things went so wrong, but at least hundreds of other customers had the same experience. Check the better business bureau rating for this company. During this time, Anese refused refunds to everyone that requested one, simply telling you that you had to continue to wait for months on end before they actually shipped your order. This is an unacceptable business practice. When you cannot deliver the product, and people don't receive it when needed, it's perfectly reasonable for them to request a refund and that request should be granted. It is not reasonable to hold on to people's money for months on end with no confirmation of product arrival. This qualifies as a scam. Next, I will be reporting them to the FTC, and I suggest anyone who wrote a BBB complaint do the same.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Just like all the others have said, never received order. I have been using Anese since 2017. The product is amazing and works! Placed an order for $58 on 4/8/24 and on website said will take 7+ days. Shipping usually takes some time but this is insanity. More like 7+ weeks.
I corresponded 4 times and received the same generic email as those below.
My last email I demanded my order be canceled and refunded. Again, same email. I'm at a loss. I don't expect my refund or the product. Maybe a gigantic lawsuit will follow. And I'm frustrated. They are stealing money and being dishonest to customers. It's disgusting. There is 0 communication. This company turned into a scam! Do not order. Go on Amazon and order a Walnut Scrub from a small business. I am so mad.
