Scam. Avoid at all costs. Charges for cancelled subscriptions

This company used to have a nice product, but I cancelled all my subscriptions in January of 2023 because I had too much product. Fast forward to September 2024 and I started getting subscription emails about an upcoming order when I did not renew my subscription. If you attempt to cancel, it tells you to email. If you email, no one responds. I attempted to pause my subscription, but it just keeps rebilling and ignoring my "pause". I have received 4 charges in the last 2 weeks for a total of $212 and no product has been shipped. This is the worst company I have done business with.

Trying to charge for a cancelled subscription...

Almost 5 years ago in 2019, I ordered products from this company and signed up for a subscription. The products were fine, but I realized I want going through it very quickly, and I cancelled the subscription. I never reordered from them. Last month, I received a notification that my subscription charge failed to go through. That makes sense- the card was expired and the subscription was long since cancelled. I reached out to customer service to report this, and they offered me a gift to keep my non-existent subscription. They ignored my request to delete my account and information, and they stopped responding to me beyond offering me a gift. I cannot delete the subscription on their website without adding a new card- which they will presumably charge- so now I'm stuck getting annoying emails from them every few days admit my 'subscription.' Shady practices, terrible customer service.

This company KEEPS TAKING MONEY OUT OF…

This company KEEPS TAKING MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT and has renewed my ‘subscription’ that I cancelled over 3 years ago. They have taken hundreds from my account, even though my card on their file expired years ago. I cannot cancel the subscription without emailing them. I email them everyday and get no response. I have not activated my subscription at all or even touched my account. My address is years old. Terrible do not buy. What they are doing is totally illegal.

If zero stars was an option

If zero stars was an option, that’s what they would get. Do not trust this company. They steal your money, they do not ship the product, they do not provide a refund, they do not provide any service, but they take your money and then ignore you. Weeks later still nothing. Do not purchase.

Same complaint as many others…

Same complaint as many others I ordered something back in 2020 and canceled the reoccurring subscription the same month. It's been 4 years and I suddenly see a bunch of emails in my spam folder saying I was charged for the same product and the subscription is active now. These predatory practices have to be illegal. And they do not have a number you can call and the chat function on the site doesn't work and they never email you back. This company needs to be investigated and closed immediately!

Charged 3.5 years later with no way to cancel!

I last ordered something from Anese in 2020 with it being delivered in 2021. They are now suddenly charging me twice in two weeks for products I never ordered to an address I haven’t lived at in years! I have sent 4 emails to them requesting cancellation and they haven’t answered one! They did charge my card and I had to dispute the claim! I’m looking for a way to bring this higher. This is ridiculous!

Anese is a scam! DO NOT BUY!

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought stuff from them in 2022 and never ordered anything again. Then 2 weeks ago I was charged $76 for a “subscription”. Which I immediately contacted them about demanding a refund and to cancel my “membership”. They never cancelled it. And today they just took ANOTHER $76!

RUN AWAY!! They don’t cancel your subscription, and charge you 3 years later!

I just was charged after 3 years of not purchasing the product… the customer service claimed I had an active subscription and that is why I was charged.

I told them that the charge is fraudulent because I had canceled my subscription 3 years ago. Now I get a notification that they’re no longer online.

I have tried finding a way to remove my payment method, but the website hides it. If I check invoices, it never shows the payment method. Only shipping and billing address.

And honestly, I don’t ever recall the product working for me. I have checked their Instagram posts and they removed the ability to comment on recent posts. Huge red flag for me!

Don’t even get me started on their return policy.

COMPLETE SCAM

The customer service isn’t just terrible, it’s nonexistent. I will go so far as to call them scammers. I ordered once from them three years ago. I decided I didn’t want to do the subscription after all. I had to email and message so many times before I finally got acknowledgment that they cancelled my subscription. There is no option for managing your own subscription. The link to do so only takes prompts you to email. But I finally got them to cancel it. Now, three years later, they’ve charged my card again for a “recurring subscription” and have a shipping address that I haven’t lived at in two years. And once again, they won’t respond to my emails. I’m disputing the charges as fraud and will be filing whatever complaints I can.

Did not allow me to cancel subscription

Anese re-enrolled me in a subscription without my consent or opt-in 4 years after I last purchased from them, then forced me to email them to cancel (no option to cancel online), and then ignored my email to cancel. I am still unable to cancel my subscription.

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM! watch out, do not place any purchases cause they will have your info and charge your account with a subscription you did not authorize nor purchase anything. They somehow received my new credit card and use my card to put me on a subscription that I didn’t even do, now I can cancel the subscription without emailing them and no one responds to the email and now I’m stuck with a subscription that I can’t cancel and can only pause. Super annoying. This company needs to be taken down.

SCAM BEWARE PLEASE!!!! DO NOT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION. STAY AWAY

This company is a scam. A unauthorized charge shown up my credit card statement twice within a week for a subscription I never started. I contacted anese through email, phone, and social media and they refuse to respond. Stay away from this company. I have reported them to the FTC federal trade commission. I see that the reviews on here are similar. The situation sucks because the credit card company cannot block the charges, and anese will not respond to my emails to refund and cancel the unauthorized subscription. SCAM

There wasn’t any communication. I ordered my product 3weeks ago & still haven’t gotten it and the product still isn’t shipped yet. I reached out via email twice and even on social media but all I got is a automated response even though they claim to have fast responses.

Worst Company Ever

They charged me for a reoccurring subscription and ghosted my emails.

I was fortunate that I emailed my Amex customer service. Amex was wonderful in refunding the cost and replacing my card.

Company Will Steal Your Money

This company must be desperate for money. They charged me for a “subscription” service that I don’t even have! I haven’t ordered from them in a year and half and they just charged my card and sent out a product! Be careful, this company is definitely a scam!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!

They enrolled me in a subscription!

I’m having the exact same issues as the previous reviews! I bought a product in 2021 and was enrolled in a subscription. After 2 consecutive orders I cancelled in 2021. Yesterday I recieved a confirmation that I’m enrolled in their subscription and they charged my card. I DID NOT enroll myself in it. I know this because the address they’re sending it to, is my old home and I don’t even live there.

I tried to send them a message or cancel the order and I got no response. The link to manage the subscription was also invalid. I’ll be doing a charge dispute with my bank, cancelling my card, and will never order from them again. This is utterly ridiculous. I liked their products but I just can’t trust them as a consumer after this.

Do not purchase from this company

I had an experience exactly like those described in several of the other recent reviews. I placed an order on August 4,2024, and sent an email to inquire about the status after hearing nothing about my order for quite some time. I got no reply to my original email or to two additional follow up emails. Eventually, this order no longer appeared on my order history under my account on Anese’s webpage.
I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and I hope that will prevent me from paying for nothing, but I also do not want my credit card company to have to eat the charge for what has become such a fraudulent business. (I never thought I would feel sorry for a credit card company!) I hope Anese will be held accountable for their illegal business practices. It was once a reliable company with great products. Interestingly, as of today (9/14), the Anese website still has a crawl that reads “Next day processing. Fast shipping” moving across the top. What a joke.

Cancelled subscription from 2 years ago reactivated without my authorization

I had a subscription two years ago that I cancelled and haven't been charged or ordered anything since then (Aug. 2022). This morning I get a text and two emails "confirming" an order I didn't place and a renewal of my subscription that I didn't authorize. They've charged my credit card. I have sent them two emails and a chat message on their website, but based on the other reviews here I'm not confident I'll get a reply or satisfactory resolution to my complaint. I did go to the link on their website to cancel subscriptions, but all I got after hitting the cancel button, was a pop-up message saying to email them to "make sure" my subscription was cancelled. What's the point of having a link to cancel on the website if it only *might* actually cancel it? If I don't get a refund I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card and filing an FTC complaint for fraud.
