i bought a fishtank from these guys earlier this year , its now starting to leak as the glass appears to be slightly out of square and has put undue pressure on the joints resulting in leaks ,
no help from them as they are only interested in the last order

The tanks don't last as long as a simple heater or aquarium pump ie the hardware that goes in them.
they get blocked, overflow, and rot really fast because the intake is small enough for even a leave or snail or anything to block REALLY easily they are topped off with a big glass lid that has no hinges as a cherry on the cake to this premeditation in the kids hobby trade SWEET

Bonsai tree purchased for fish tank. Branches were falling off was told to ‘buy some waterproof glue and stick back on’!!!

Stand isn’t great, had a different size of light on website to what was sent with the tank and it didn’t fit, went through customer service to get it sorted but they were rude on phone and on email blaming me for it. They sent out brackets to fit but the light itself isn’t great. Would never buy from them again

Sent for pump still waiting have email twice no reply ply next step is small claims

Purchased the filter in Jan 2021 on recommendation of local aquarium shop. First impeller broke in October 2022 - less than two years. Now, Jan 2024, the impeller is making a clicking noise even after cleaning and checking for any blockage. Yes, it was cheaper then other models but with a life of less than three years it is a false economy. Just placed an order for an Eheim, to run along side my other Eheim which has run without a problem for nearly 20 years.

What sort of suppliers runs out of important lighting for an extensive period and no resellers can help.

I will just have to hang on watching my final fish die along with the other three already gone

Aqua one tanks stay clear - 3 rd tank to crack
I purchased an Aqua one lifestyle 127 litre tank in May 2020. In July this year it suddenly cracked pouring out water all over our house. Luckily we were able to place cable straps around it until the next morning were had to purchase yet another tank. Fortunately we were home at the time as besides the damage I would have lost all my beautiful cichlids. I have had 3 aqua one tanks in the last 10 years that have developed leaks or cracked. I have never moved them and they have been on their purpose made cabinets. I contacted the suppliers Kong with proof of purchase and clear photos of the crack. I expressed how concerned I am for the safety of people and fish as these tanks are dangerous. They pretended they were really concerned and wasted so much of my time asking for details, emails phone calls etc. 5 weeks after I contacted them they suddenly wanted me to return the tank to the store. Of course I had disposed of it as I had provided evidence and Proof of purchase. They suddenly sent an email saying sorry too bad we can’t do anything for you as you disposed of the tank. Absolutely appalling service. This company does not care about its customers despite the amount of negative reviews the curved tanks have received. Stay clear of these dangerous tanks.

They emailed me a week after my order to tell me their courier was charging them £25 to send a glass lid to me and I cannot buy this anywhere else I would have payed the delivery fee if asked but no! Do not buy from here

My experience is with the Aqua one oakstyle 230 aquarium .the tank looks spacious for 230 litre, and looks big and spacious.
Lights make the colours of the fish pop vary happy to start with .
Some negatives. the filtre I feel could do with an upgrade as it didn't seem powerful enough to give good water flow around the tank, so i added a second filter.
The openings at the back of the tank to fit pipes and cables etc they are not very big ,could be bigger .the glass lids are an accident waiting to happen as the plastic sides barely hold the glass in place .and worst of all .the tank split less than 2 years old .I was told by aque one that it was down to me as I must have knocked the tank from above.i called Aqua one and asked them to look into the possibility of where the tank was supposedly hit that infact its where the lights are clamped on and potentially putting pressure on the glass when moving the lights up and down every time to clean the tank .
(Keeping discus that was 3 times a week)
Making it a defect in the tank design.
But no reply from aqua one .its impossible to knock the back and top as the tank is over 4.5 feet high .

Fantastic company. I have been using their products for years and have never had a bad experience. If I've ever had a product issue, I've always gone back through the selling retailer and Aqua One have ensured a quick turn around with them.

I have recommended Aqua One to plenty of friends looking at taking up fishkeeeping and will continue to do so.

The product arrived flatpack and assembled as you would expect; it looks great and we're really pleased. The reason we've left a review is because of the AMAZING service we received from Lewis. We needed a replacement part because WE damaged it - he was helpful, efficient and provided top class customer service. Thank-you and well done, we wish you every success.

Spoke to lewis as i had some issues with my pets at home order. he was brilliant and helped me sort out all my problems, customer service doesnt get much better than this. the tank arrived the next day with a few suprises for my troubles. Thanks lewis great advice and service!!!

Brought a aquaone 240 ltre fish tank from Maidenhead aquatics brighton 18 months ago came home from my youngest daughter in Crawley to find water all over floor and large rug and a water loged stand .as I have severe disability and early dementia did not need or want this and had been happy with tank but not now .put towels each side of tank and front and run water into large buckets cleaned and dried up water emptied draws of water .then topped tank back up .l phoned my cousin up the road from us to ask could he come the next day to change towels and empty buckets as i had to rush back to my daughters in Crawley to take her in to East Surrey hospital. Stay there looking after our Grandson for 2 more days while my cousin dear with leak in seal back left hand corner. I did as asked Sent pictures and videos to them then nothing for a while.as tank was in the way i paid for tank to go to tip as I will have to with stand .I was lucky to buy a small second hand tank for fish put on stand but only short term to get me out of trouble. After i did this low and behold aqua one and Maidenhead contacted me to say can i bring tank in or they would come and view it when I told them at tip they said they could do nothing a 700 pound fish tank you would expect more then this.i have had a few aquaone fish tanks never any trouble but the first time some thing goes wrong no help a tall .I've brought a few tanks from Maidenhead aquatics so they know me to be honest .I was going to buy a new 5 foot aqua one tank to replace my old 5 foot tank I have with bigger fish in but not now .yours very disappointed bill. Ps will be takeing6 this further as worked hard for my money and now at 72 can not afford to trow money away

Owned this tank for 4 weeks and I keep saying why does my water look cloudy from the front glass but viewing from sides looks clear later found out its the glass itself and I've tried to clean it but stil same just seems to be a defect via the front glass aqua mini reef 120 avoid if you like a crystal clear view this was ordered from urmston aqatics I'm just not happy with it and feel like I'm stuck with it

Well just purchased the oak style 230 nice tank and ideal for deep body fish with an impressive 21 inch depth ..But then comes the hard bit the flat pack just a pity the company didn’t use stickers to identify parts some have 2 finished edges which makes front and back hard to identify.. a small detail of marking the individual pieces would save no end of time ..on the plus side the tank comes with l.e.d lighting with a night feature and heater and filter canister only problem is that it’s probably not man enough as I’ve learnt after 50 yrs of fish keeping the so called 1000 ltrs an hr isn’t necessarily true giving the lift back in to the tank but apart from this it’s a nice piece of furniture

Probably should have read some of the previous reviews as I'm not the first but my bad, Ordered with 1-2 day delivery as i needed it in that time frame, and they call me to say they can deliver it over a week later, might cancel and try and find somewhere i can pick it up

Bought a complete aqua one Oak Style set up from a local aquarium shop.
After 3 months the light stopped working so I returned it to the shop.
They duly returned it to Aqua one for a replacement over a month ago.
Aqua one have now told the shop that they will not send a new one until they have got an order of £700 or more.
I have emailed Aqua one asking that they replace my faulty light under the guarantee but have been completely ignored.
They do not seem a good company when things go wrong
