The process was formal, but an extremely easy interface to apply. I felt that the communication with all of their team members was very clear every step of the way, with no ambiguity of terms unlike our last mortgage institution.

I was attracted to Athena because its business model rewards loyalty (for example, existing borrowers are treated the same as potential borrowers). The loan application and approval process was simple, short and ultra convenient.

The application process was very easy, all online. Did not have to fill out a single bit of paper, which was awesome! It was approved very quickly and settlement was booked within a couple of weeks. No hiccups so far.
I would highly recommend Athena to anyone who's thinking of refinancing. Great experience.

If you are sorry , then refund my money that I lost because of time lost with you which I could have used to go somewhere else by now and saved interest. I could have have saved $4000 within this time.

Was good experience using Athena only negative would be assessor asked for way to many extra things that we have never been asked for making unconditional timing lengthy, Athena are fast I was told but not in my experience

As promised, I am updating my refinancing away from Athena. It’s been 6 months refinancing to a new bank, and the world hasn’t collapsed as Athena suggest. We still have a competitive rate 5.74%, and yes the rates have gone up but only in line with the RBA. We got $4000 also to transfer over. I am really surprised at all the 5 star Athena reviews, I hope they are genuine. So we are really happy with our refinancing to a ‘big bank’ so far. Will post again in 6 months.

Changing home loans was made easier knowing that Athena was easy to contact quickly and easily if needed. I appreciate their email and messaging services for this. I love their product that gives a reduction in interest rate charged, the more my loan is paid off. The offset account will help me achieve my goal sooner too. Because of their awesome home loan I’m looking forward to loving and leaving them sooner 😆
