Fik ikke hvad jeg havde bestilt. Varerne var nogle helt andre end dem de viste på deres hjemmeside. De beklagede fejlen og tilbød at jeg kunne sende varerne retur men påstod samtidig fejlagtigt at varerne stemte overens. Dette påpegede jeg i en mail, som de ikke har gidet ulejlige sig med at svare tilbage på.
Flere dage efter har de endnu ikke opdateret deres hjemmeside - så andre risikerer dermed at blive udsat for det samme. Det er ikke en seriøs måde at drive forretning på.
Jeg havde ellers et par gode erfaringer med at handle her men det gør jeg ikke mere nu.

Backpackinglight.dk offers gear that might be difficult to find elsewhere in Scandinavia, e.g. the CNOC product series. I purchased a CNOC Vecto 2L set of bags that I'm using for water filtration, but one of the bags had a very tiny hole that caused it to leak slightly. It did hold up during a trip to Scotland where it was used under fairly rough conditions. When coming back I reached out the Backpackinglight and they immediately offered to replace the bag free of charge - no questions asked. That is very fine and responsible service - thanks guys!

Received my Tent 4 days after ordering. Perfect service, very quick! I live in the Netherlands.

One of the worst shopping experiences I have had.
I placed an order on the 24th of the month last year for quite a large sum of money and multiple items. It took until the 31st of the following month (38 days total) to get my money back as I didn't ever recieve anything.
During that time I spoke to Ken Shaw the owner of the company on the phone who promised to get back to me about my order. He never did. I had to chase with over 19 emails to get an update as to what was going on with my order. I even had to contact UPS myself who assured me that the parcel had never been collected and that I was being told incorrect information by the seller.
Eventually (on day 38) I was told the following by Emma in customer service "I understand that you want your order of course but unfortunatly I have to inform you that last week we cancelled our agreement to ship to UK. I'm affraid the only option I can offer is a refund of your purchase."
Seeing as you are still able to select GBP as a currency on their website something tells me I was lied to yet again. Such a bizzare experience as I was nothing but curteous throughout the whole process and still on day 38 was requesting to just get my order sent out.
I would warn anyone looking to purchase from this company to seek out alternatives as to avoid a situation like mine.

This outdoor company is still selling nature-harming mosquito repellent Thermacell. They advertise it for use in hiking yet the company that makes the product itself says it should not be used outside yard areas and that it is harmful to bees, fishes and other water creatures, and pollinating flowers. I have informed them of this several months ago with evidence about how harmful these products are and that they should never be advertised or used for hiking or other nature activities. They said they were looking at the issue but nothing has changed and they still sell this product.

Jeg købte et telt. Vægten i den korte præsentation af teltet var oplyst til 865 gram. Da jeg modtog teltet, viste det sig at veje over 2 kg. Retfærdigvis skal nævnes, at havde jeg læst den fulde beskrivelse, ville jeg have opdaget afvigelsen.
Havde det været en fejl fra deres side at fremhæve en forkert vægt, og havde de valgt at rette den, havde de nok fået 4 stjerner (5 stjerner, hvis returporto blev betalt af dem), men de forsvarer sig med at de fleste alligevel kun bruger overteltet, så de mener, det er helt fair at fremhæve vægten af kun det (eksklusive indertelt, pløkker og pose). Så lærte vi det 😁.

A good shop regarding helpful customer service and fine products, but if you might need to return items (from abroad), I advice to look alternative retailers.

Though it is clearly stated that you pay the returning costs (totally understandable), the actual problem is finding a shipping method and logistic company to actually comply with their returning instructions. It's all your responsibility as a regular consumer to orchestrate this, and I can say that the world of international logistics is a harsh place. With no existing shipping deals (offered from Backpackinglight to ease practicalities for their paying customers) to use I was disappointed in this matter as my returning delivery failed. I was left with extra costs, item I don't want, and in the end no concrete help from any party involved. Really not worth it – will not risk ordering from here again.
