As reported in other reviews, I was paying for a flight and when my Monzo app prompted me to approve the transaction, I approved and the flight amount was taken out of my account. However, after the approval, the transaction didn't go through on Bamboo's website even though it had taken my money. I had no record that the payment didn't go through (to prove for my charge back request with my bank) so I emailed Bamboo's support email. They did get back to me by the next day and confirmed the error so points for this. They don't issue the refund though, I think your bank sorts it. So remember to dispute the transaction with your bank but I believe the refund should be issued appropriately. It is an inconvenience to deal with this but the customer support is active. They should really fix this payment issue so money is not taken out if the payment method is not accepted. I will try again with my Revolut bank card.

I booked a flight. Bank says the charge went through but Bamboo says it did not. Bamboo says I should book again using a different card. I naively followed their instructions. Happened again.

I'm now waiting on two refunds from them, but by the looks of the reviews, I won't hold my breath.

I guess they don't want business or a good reputation?

I had a flight from Melbourne to Hochimin in March 2024, Bamboo Airline canceled the flight and they have not made the refund of the money. They do not answer emails. If they cancel a Flight it is very probable that they steal your money

Je wordt opgelicht waar je bij staat! Tijdens het inchecken werden we meteen doorverwezen naar hun klanten balie. Want onze derde naam zou ook op de ticket moeten staan. Heel vreemd, want ze vragen je firstname and middlename. Zonder verdere uitleg of compassie verwees de dame die niks zat te doen ons naar haar collega. Daar moesten we 108.000 VD per persoon betalen om de derde naam erop te krijgen. Gek genoeg is die derde naam niet zichtbaar op je boardingpass. Na ons waren meerdere toeristen de dupe van deze oplichting

My first time using Bamboo Airways was an absolute pleasure. The Airline Staff were very helpful, my flight was cancelled due to flooding and Bamboo Airways kept me updated with my new flight and departure time through both email and SMS. My first experience will have me booking my fights through Bamboo Airways in the future. Thank you for your quality customer service and for making my first trip with your airline extremely enjoyable.

Ich rate davon ab, Bamboo Airways als Fluggesellschaft zu buchen. Unser Flug wurde von der Fluggesellschaft vor über einem Jahr storniert. Wir hatten Tickets über 1.965,51€ für 2 Personen gekauft (was schon mal ein unverschämter Preis nach Vietnam ist) und haben es nach 13 Monaten rückerstattet bekommen. Von Booking kam keine Hilfe, weil sie meinten, sie kämen bei Bamboo Airways selbst nicht durch. Also auch keine Lösung es über eine Agentur zu buchen, die sich sehr einfach aus der Sache rausziehen. Vor lauter Verzweiflung habe ich einen Anwalt eingeschaltet, der es in die Hand genommen hat und über internationale Wege erwirken musste. Denn der Standort in Frankfurt von Bamboo Airways hat es sich genauso einfach gemacht wie Booking: »keine Ahnung, von hier aus können wir nicht helfen«, so lautete der Tenor beider und das alles in englisch...

Booked flights from Gatwick to HoChi Min. Flights cancelled 12 days before and nearly a year later still no refund. They don't answer emails. They basically stole our money.

They made me buy another flight because one of the tickets was missing a surname and on the other they charged me extra for changing the order between the first and last name. They also wanted to charge me for excess weight. Do not choose this company. It's a shame that a company has to resort to these bad arts where they only want to get angry and get money from their customers.

Worst airline experience. As others have mentioned, no refund has been issued for my flight from Hanoi to Tokyo, even after more than 10 months.

Be careful with this airline if you mess up with your first name and surname they make money on changing it.

I understand if you change to different name u need to pay but if wrong order between first and surname and they still ask you to pay?

Im wacht al maanden op terugbetaling van ticket. Wat een oplichters. Ze schuiven alles af. Niet mee in zee gaan. Pas op!

Compagnia pessima. Stiamo aspettando il rimborso da gennaio 2024, non ce lo hanno ancora fatto e non rispondono ai solleciti ne alle mail di reclamo. Non voleremo mai più con loro.

Turned up to the airport for my flight to be told it was cancelled. First time we were told about it so that was annoying. The Bamboo staff told me to email them for a refund so I did that. I've now been waiting 7 months for a refund despite chasing multiple times and emailing every email address at Bamboo.

The worst airline experience I’ve ever had. Flight from Hanoi to Da Nang was ok, except for the inside of the planes being extremely dirty. They refused to allow us to board on the return journey because our middle names were not on the tickets. They said we would need to buy new tickets and request a refund for the old ones. We bought new tickets elsewhere. Absolute scam.

Had a flight booked from Germany to Hanoi. It was canceled by them due to operational reasons. Waiting for nine months for a refund.

They always write the same stuff in their emails. Never committing to a date. It just takes „longer than usual“ because of a new system. 9 months!!!

After eight months they offered me a ticket voucher. Ridiculous. Right afrer cancellation ok, but not anymore. Anything other than a refund now is just ridiculous.

I right now need to assume they stole my money.

A shame. When I had flown with them before, I liked the service onboard. Now I need to assume they are scammers.

Hanno cancellato il nostro volo da Hanoi a Hue e sono ora ben oltre 6 mesi che aspetto il rimborso. Non rispondono né alle mail né al telefono. Vergognoso! Non prenotate con loro!

Unser Flug QH74 am 10.03.2023 hatte mehr als 14 Stunden Verspätung. Da dies der Hinflug war, hatte die Verspätung Auswirkungen auf die weiteren Reisepläne sowie verursachte Kosten. Da der Flug in Frankfurt startete, stehen uns nach EU-Recht pro Person 600€ Entschädigung zu. Zunächst wurde uns vom Kundenservice die Zahlung zugesichert. Nachdem wir über Monate immer wieder vertröstet wurden, legten wir Rechtsmittel ein. Die Airline stellt sich seither tot. Es wurde wohl auf Zeit gespielt.

Had an operation so had to cancel my flight. I paid extra for full refund at the time of booking. 6 months later I'm still trying to get it. The parasites who work here don't care. It should be shut down.. absolute maggots avoid at all costs
