Recieved our bed in the middle of storm Darragh, delivery men were polite and quick, even with the awful conditions on the day!
The company themselves, I was at one point sure we had been victim of a scam as their customer service was atrocious. Multiple emails and calls from Friday to Monday lunch time went unanswered when our bed was scheduled to be delivered on the Friday but was not. We did have a response Monday saying this was due to miscommunication and our bed was delivered ASAP that Sunday.
Which credit to them was quicker than their usual policy of re delivery.
Bed itself seems lovely but communication is very poor.

I wish i had read the other recent reviews. Think we've been scammed. I placed an order on the 18th November. Tried to contact the company on the 19th to double check dimensions as realised the space was tighter than I had thought and the bed would only just fit. No one answered the phones. Emailed the company on the 20th requesting clarification on dimensions - told by service agent that there is a 6cm(!) variation in dimensions. 6 emails sent trying to get more clarity on the build and dimensions of the bed - replies take too long, and inadequate information provided. Phone goes to voicemail until today - when I was told I can still cancel the order on the phone, then told I can't on email as it's outside the cancellation window, DESPITE the website stating a 'no questions asked refund'. Then told it's going to be 3 weeks for delivery, not 5-10 days as advertised. False advertising all round. Have asked to have my queries flagged to the ceo, but at this stage i'm not sure if there is one? I will be contacting trading standard to report my experience and will raise a dispute with my card provider if it turns out we have been scammed. Really awful thing to do to people trying to buy a toddler bed. Wish I had read other reviews from 2024 before I put down £725.

UPDATE: Delivery was scheduled for today 13/12 - 25 days after ordering (not 5-10 as promised in all their advertising). I email them this morning as the courier had failed to contact me as expected.. I then receive an email back saying that the bed won't be delivered today because of a 'flat tire' (which should take 30 minutes to resolve). Nothing about this company has been professional or reliable. Their phonelines go to an anonymous voicemail box which no one replies to. The only way to contact them is by email, which takes 4 days to get a response - and all the links in the customer service email signature are dead. Everything suggests that this is a rogue trader or some kind of sham company.

Hoping that the bed shows up tomorrow as promised.. honestly dreading having to take this company to small claims court. Truly awful experience.

UPDATE - January 2025: The bed did eventually arrive. They sent the incorrect head board - it had been manufactured 18cm(!!!) taller than the listed height. Despite about 10 emails back and forth confirming and emphasising the need for the bed to fit in the space required! Forced to contact their AI bot(?) customer service, again. We were told, "oops - we sent you the adult headboard, instead of the toddler one".. Asked for a replacement headboard to be sent out, or to cover the cost of a handyman to change the shelving unit which no longer fits due to their error.. 3 weeks later, still awaiting a resolution. Not hopeful.

Also worth noting to other customers; the links in their customer service email signature are template links, leading to 404 pages, as if someone just set the company up using a template and never bothered to customise any of the contact details. Very dodgy and extremely unprofessional. Additionally the £700 bed we bought from them has not been fully upholstered with fabric on the inside of the frame, as it should have been, and has staples sticking out on the frame which goes around the mattress - we risk cutting our hands everytime we make the bed, pretty dreadful for a child's bed. Absolute nightmare. Wish we'd never ordered from them. Really sad - if they had a decent customer service and simply allowed us to cancel our order and get a refund when it became apparent that the specification and delivery schedule had been falsely advertised we would not be in this mess... or if they had any kind of quality control overseeing the manufacturing of their beds then products would not be delivered with such massive variation in specified dimensions and safety.

Was a little apprehensive ordering the bed online but I no need have worried, the customer service was excellent, the delivery was on time and the delivery men was really helpful and polite,
The bed itself is good quality and more than expected for brilliant price
Would definitely order from this company again

Advertised as a 5-10 working day delivery when in fact they wanted to deliver more than a month after date of purchase. Customer service poor and slow. Had to raise a case via my bank for a refund

I absolutely love this bed! It's definitely the best one I've ever bought, and the price is really great compared to other stores.

Impossible to get hold of, do not answer phone calls or emails. Have not delivered on their promise of goods and do not want to rectify their mistake. They delivered only 1 out of the 2 beds, then when following up they said they only sent 1 bed to production so were sending the 2nd bed. The 2nd bed finally arrived and it was incorrect, when asking to replace they would not do this at the same time as collecting the faulty bed they wanted to collect the faulty bed and then send a replacement. Had to go through my bank in the end to claim the money back.

Bed has not been delivered we have been waiting over a month .

Customer services do not answer the phone and email correspondence has been slow. They claim the bed is in transit but the courier company deny having received anything.

They are refusing to cancel our order, and are not delivering our bed.

Do not trust these guys, they are not operating fairly.

Ordered two ottoman single beds for my little boy & little girls room.

Got the fabric that’s very like a teddy bear.

The beds are beautiful! Well built & great storage. They are very neutral so match any theme.

Customer service where great when ordering beds & with delivery.

Ordering is easy. I sent for a few samples first. The bed arrived in a matter of weeks and delivered as arranged. So easy to put together. It looks fabulous.

We bought a superking bed a few months ago and I must say the quality is absolutely amazing! It is so much better than our previous bed which was nearly 3 times the price.
The customer service was fab and delivery was fantastic. The drivers took off their shoes without even asking and were so courteous and friendly delivering and installing our bed within minutes.
Lovely company to have dealt with and I would definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

Just bought 5f bedstead from Bed Universe. Not confident ordering online because of all the horror stories but was pleasantly surprised. The bed was made to order and arrived in approx 10 days. Easy to put together. Looks stylish and sumptuous Happy to recommend to family and friens.

DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS!! Avoid like the plague!!

Ordered a bed mid June, it got despatched but the delivery company returned it to the company due to the packaging being damaged. They agreed to check it over, repack it and send it out the week I came back off holiday. I chased up with the company on the 21st July to make sure it has been deapatched as agreed and they told me it was deapatched in the 20th July. 4 days later, still nothing, tracking number never updated so I questioned this daily, once I could get through to someone after 20+ tries!! Low and behold, the 24th I was told they hadn't deapatched it and they 'located my items' in the warehouse and the tracking would be updated 48 hours following. I left it for a few days and with no surprise, still no updated, still the delivery company hadn't received it from Bed Universe and still no bed to date, 1st August.

I do not believe the good reviews, whilst the girls on the phone were polite, broken promises and multiple lies ended in me requesting a refund. Management offered me £50 partial refund and asked me to wait another week which I was NOT prepared to do and demanded a refund both in emails and verbally once I had finally got hold of them.

The beds looks amazing, however doesn't feel they are after looking at some reviews and their customer service in regards to satisfying a customer's order is unbelievably poor and have left us sleeping on the floor for near on 2 months.!!!

Your Management need to look into this and identify where it all went wrong and consider the customer journey which was non existent!!!!

One word.. HORRENDOUS!!

Really pleased with the side lift ottoman bed! Delivery was as scheduled! I had a couple of screws missing but their customer service was excellent & sorted this out very quickly!
Highly recommend Bed Universe!

Before ordering my bed I requested some samples to get a feel for the colours of the beds before then deciding, I received the free samples within a timely manor and was sent an email in regards to them being posted. This was a good initial service. I then placed my order for the bed and received a confirmation email however nothing then following from that. I then ATTEMPTED to call on multiple different days and had no luck whatsoever. This is then when I knew I had made a mistake. I then arranged for my partner to take the day off work to be able to receive the bed with it being the value that it is, and it being a large delivery, I also removed and disposed of my old bed once having the delivery confirmation through where I received the head board, mattress but NO BED BASE! Which we all know with no bed base you cannot build or put together the bed. I then called as soon as my partner let me know that this was missing, where for the first time i spoke to a lady, she was polite however wasn't phased at all that i had just spent over £500 on a new bed that wasn't all there!, and disregarded the fact i then had no bed to sleep on!? All i got was i apologise for the inconvenience. There was no mention of it being referred to their manager, or how they were going to solve this AT ALL. I have been going back and forth with this poor lady who obviously is extremely busy and i would say isn't able to follow up on getting the manager to get back to me to discuss what can be done regarding the extreme inconvenience. JUST TO CONFIRM I RECIEVED MY BED BASE 1 WEEK LATER to the rest of the parts, So that's 1 week I have slept on a mattress on the floor!. AND THE MOST LAUGHABLE THING - I HAVE BEEN OFFERED A 5% REFUND A WHOPPING £27.00 COMPENSATION. IDE RATHER THEY KEPT THEIR £27.00 THAN TAKE THE MOCKERY OF GIVING IT BACK TO ME. why doesnt the manager take ownership and give me a call themself and be professional maybe once throughout the entirety of my order and stop making this poor lady come back and forth with me when she is unable to authorise anything in regards to this absolute MESS. The funny thing about this also is.... I would not give a bad review or kick up a fuss so long that this was handled in the correct manor, i understand mistakes happen sometimes THATS LIFE however this is absolutely shocking and discusting service to be honest, WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND. if you order from here just pray that your bed turns up when it says and in one piece or I wish you luck now!!

I've had a great experience with Bed Universe. I ordered super king size 'Hamilton winged bed frame'. I wasn't too sure about online colours, and luckily they sent out free sample swatches, which was really helpful.
I've not known a company that offers custom build your own luxurious beds and deliver so quickly. I loved how many options they had to build your own bed. They also contacted me to check if I had efficient space to take the 6ft headboard up if not they had alternative options to meet your needs. I was surprised to find how creative it was and how much they have to offer on material, colours, and designs. So glad I went for Bed Universe, extremely happy with my bed and really looked after us. Thank you.
