I have purchased 3 bicycles from them. The quality is excellent, and customer service is unbeatable.

Purchased an MTB ebike with Bafang components after the company touted Bafang products on their website. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bafang makes horrible products that Bikesdirect was very eager to sell to unknowing buyers.
Soon after purchasing, the electronic display failed completely. BD sent me to a private party in California to get the part replaced. No warranty. Then the battery failed. BD does NOT make repairs and did not know any shop in my major city that works on ebikes. Bafang USA DOES NOT SERVICE OR SELL TO END USERS. Don't even bother with Bafang. It took months to find a company that services ebike batteries. Bafang batteries are sealed and had to be pried/broken apart to evaluate.
They found multiple problems including failed connectors and BMS errors with imbalanced cells. $450 to make repairs Less than 100 miles of battery usage.
BD asked if I want to buy a new Bafang for $599.00. SAVE your money, avoid mail order and buy a name brand high quality entrusted bicycle from a trusted seller.
You'll be very very glad you did.

Bought a 2018 Motobecane Hal Boost team. Bikes Direct, specifically Larry have always been SUPER helpful when needed. Put 5,000 miles on the bike and the frame cracked at the shock mount. Had a new frame within a week. Thanks Larry.

Best customer service ever - I've had my ebike for 5+ years and was having charging issues. Larry at BikesDirect customer service gave me some advice on how to fix it and now I am back on the road. Great service - thanks again!

I assembled and oiled the bike as required. I rode the bike less than half a mile and the bike's chain came off the gear. I got off and noticed a cable had been torn. I moved the cables to a safe position . I assumed it was the motor that had been damaged

I took it to a local bike repair guy and he said that the battery was actually the thing that was damaged. This seemed to be a mechanical defect to me but the customer service guy said that it was on me and he could sell me the battery at a discounted price of $600.

I don't recommend buying from these folks go to your local bike shop instead.

I've purchased two bikes in the last month from Bikes Direct. Shipping was fast and both bikes arrived in great condition. I did have one assembly/bike setup question. Larry responded to my emailed question the same day and his recommended solution was spot on.

I received my bike in about a week, and I gotta tell you: I'm very happy with it so far. When you order from BikesDirect, be sure to ask for Larry for any help you need. He really knows what he's doing!

I've been a customer of Bikes direct since 2017 (I have 3 bikes from them)and cannot recommend them enough. Despite the website being straight outta 1999, their bikes are the best value for your dollar and hold up very well over time. I also really enjoy their customer service. When I lost a very particular pivot bolt for my mountain bike, I inquired about purchasing a new one and was met with a same day response and shipment of my part! Larry was very helpful and rapidly responsive.

Overall 13/10 recommend!!

I have now purchased 3 bikes from these guys- they are all excellent quality. Even better is the customer service, I am by no means a bike mechanic and have needed guidance with all of the bikes and they are always quick to help and very polite. Big thanks to Larry who helped us out today !

After 5 bikes ordered through BikesDirect I finally had a minor issue, the wrong size handlebars were shipped with the bike. Larry at BikesDirect responded quickly to my email and solved the issue immediately to my satisfaction. Thanks to Larry and BikesDirect for their excellent Customer Service.

Bikes Direct has amazing customer service. First, I mistakenly ordered the wrong item. I sent a message about it and Megan had it squared away first thing the following morning before the original order shipped.

When my order arrived, I found that a part of the bicycle was broken. (Likely happened in transit) I sent another message and, again, a rep got back to me immediately the following morning. Larry gave me clear answers to my questions and I had a tracking number for a replacement part before I had finished my breakfast.

I've ordered 6-8 bikes from BikesDirect.com over the years. Always great quality bikes at a great price. I do wish they had more sizes in stock, as I often seem to find just the bike I want ... but there's no stock in my size. Still, if you find what you want, you'll get a great deal. Shipment is fast and drama free and, with only one exception ever, the bikes have arrived flawless and ready for minimal assembly to finish them off. On that one exception, Larry provided me with detailed mechanical advice and by myself & at home, I was able to get the bike to 100%. Really impressive personalized service. I will be ordering MANY bikes from these guys in the future.

Picked up a 2026 Motobecane Mulekick Ti PRO and I’m seriously impressed. The craftsmanship on this thing is legit with clean welds, nice finish, and it just feels solid. For what I paid, the value is ridiculous, especially with the components it comes with. Everything runs smooth and the fit is dialed in, so it’s comfortable on long days but still has that snappy, responsive feel when you want to get after it.

The buying part was just as good as the riding. Working with Larry at BikesDirect was a pleasure. Super easy process, quick replies, and he kept me in the loop the whole way. Honestly, if you’re in the market for a titanium gravel bike that won’t break the bank but still checks all the boxes, the Mulekick Ti PRO should be on your short list.

Bike is awesome, although it came with a flat but one of there workers helped me out within 24 hours(Larry). Who ever is the manager give that person a raise or promotion. Thanks bikes direct:$

I could not find a bike. Every time I found one (many) that matched my basic requirements, it was sold out or not available. I tried for three months. The inventory never changed. I was never able to purchase a bike from them. I think their prices are great. Their bikes (only looked at road bikes) are very good. But they aren't actually available.
I was hoping fo more from this company/website. I ended up ordering from a competitive website with more "actual/available" options.

I am a tall guy, 6'2, and looked at a lot of bikes until I found the right one. The Mango long board from Bikes Direct fits me perfectly! The angled seatpost makes pedaling much more comfortable and gives a longer reach to the handlebars so I sit more naturally. When I was putting it together, the top nut for the handlebar was damaged in the package. I notified Bikes Direct by email, and Larry answered me promptly. He sent me a new top nut right away. I am enjoying riding this bike with my wife now that I am retired!

Very happy with the purchase. Shipped quickly and arrived as described. A nut and bolt were missing that appeared to have come off in shipping, but after sending an email to Larry, a replacement was sent out promptly. Highly recommended!

I've always been happy with bikes direct. I have purchased four bikes from them over the years and have always been impressed with the quality. I do wish that they had specific model assembly manuals because I have messed up building out a couple of the bikes.

Larry is just so knowledgeable and helpful. He resolves problems and clearly cares about customers.
