Warning: Unauthorized use of minor's image and zero ethics

I am writing this to warn other parents and content creators about this company’s total lack of professional ethics and disregard for UK privacy laws.
This company utilized imagery of my 14-year-old daughter and my family for global commercial marketing for nearly 10 months without any signed contract, Model Release, or Licensing Agreement. Even after being served a formal 24-hour notice to remove the content, they failed to comply, continuing to profit from a minor's image willfully.
They have ignored all formal attempts to settle unauthorized usage fees and have now gone completely silent. We will officially move this to the Scottish Civil Courts (Simple Procedure) for a £5,000 claim regarding the commercial exploitation of a child's privacy and intellectual property theft.

This will also end up on our channel itself

If you value your family's privacy and want to deal with a company that follows basic legal standards, look elsewhere. Absolute lack of integrity

A bad experience

I purchased a used black T16 Pro. Due to customs issues, I had to choose another colour. The package arrived in poor condition and the bicycle was not well protected. Parts were missing, the front fork was completely bent, making it impossible to fit the mudguard and wheel, the handlebar lock was broken and the screws were stripped, making it difficult to assemble or disassemble the parts. The after-sales service was a complete disappointment. It has been about 10 days since I reported the problem, but I have received a couple of replies without finding a definitive solution despite repeated requests (they wanted to send me a replacement fork but never replied, and the fork clamping screw is stripped and stuck and cannot be unscrewed). I haven't received any replies for a week. Basically, I'm left without a bicycle and without money. Based on my experience, I do not recommend purchasing these bicycles because they are used and have never been checked for damage. I'm sorry because it seems like a good bicycle otherwise.

'Refurbished' bike wasn't functional [update: replacement parts]

I received a 'refubrished' bike from bodywel this morning. This bike has clearly not even been looked at. The bike clearly was in some kind of crash which usually with refurbished products is fine because any damage (other than cosmetic) is fixed. Usually.

There is a snapped key in the battery lock, the front forks are bent out of alignment so the front wheel cannot be put on, the long bolt for in the handlebar stem is missing, and multiple minor missing screws. This has clearly not even been checked by someone to have so many glaring functionality issues.

I have emailed them as soon as I noticed the issues, taken some photos too, so I am now just awaiting their response and will update accordingly.
However this is actually insane. A refurbished product has to actually be refurbished else you are just selling me a second hand beaten up product. I'm not even sure what a resolution would be at this point. If you are selling a refurbished product you actually have to make sure it is functional.

Update: they have shipped the replacement parts and have agreed to compensate me for this. I still encourage to be careful with their refurbished products but they have rectified the issue. I will likely update again when the parts come and I fix up the bike.

I bought the Bondwell E-Bike expecting a reliable product and honest service, but my experience has been the exact opposite. From the start, the company made big promises about quality, performance, and support — none of which were delivered.

The bike I received did not match the claims they made. The performance was far below what was advertised, and the battery life was nowhere near what they promised. When I contacted them for help, their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of solving the problem, they gave excuses and delays, completely wasting my time.

I feel this company has misled me and taken my money without delivering a product worth the price. I would strongly caution others to think twice before buying from Bondwell — my purchase has been a complete waste of both time and money.

On August 10, 2025, you contacted us through our official after-sales email address, expressing your need for spare parts. We actively cooperated with you by providing information and support on the required parts. However, after receiving the parts, you did not clearly indicate any quality issues with the product, but instead requested a return and refund for the battery. We responded to your inquiry regarding the battery as soon as possible and hoped to further assist you in resolving the issue. Unfortunately, we have not received a detailed explanation of the product issue and continue to receive refund requests.

A275 E bike

I bought the A275 E bike second hand (but as new). I am extremely happy with it as it matched all my requirements. It is a well built bike and a bargan even at the retail price.
I needed to replace a small cover for the charger socket and the on/off switch. After a short chat on their website they have sourced the part and sending it to me.

What a great bike!!

I don’t often write reviews but credit where it’s due!! I got the T16 and it has been absolutely brilliant. I’ve had it a few months now and I use it everyday to commute to the station, take it on the train and cycle to work the other side. I have had no issues with it at all and battery lasts very well even when I’m using it on the fastest setting. My partner got another brand electric bike which was 4 times the price and mine is much better, even he agrees!! I’ve had many compliments and lots of people comment on how quick this little bike is. 5 star customer service, 5 star bike, very pleased with my purchase.

Availability of parts

I bought my m275 second hand from a reviewer on youtube.
My rating is mainly for the website. It's nice to know if I need a new battery, charger, rear wheel with motor or front wheel, new screen or some other bits I can order a replacement. Would be nice to have listings for new bearings though as these are a wear and tare item that often needs replacements and id like to have spares. The bike itself is nice to ride and seems well built. The front light has proved to be very good in the evenings.

nightmare…

Where to start postage was a nightmare two tracking numbers three delivery dates an anxious 10 day, wait hooray bike turns up.
Put it together,looks lovely, feeling better,
Thinking everything was good.
Put on charge following instructions light on the charger turns green brillant.Turn on the bike display says low charge 😕
Turn the bike of charged again light gose green,now it won't even turn on.
Go to the wed site to find chat frozen and to add insult to injury the price has gone by £95.00,can see why
Very very Disappointed 😥
Final got it work went for a ride it is a lovely bike just a shame about all the problems 😐

Bodywel e-bikes offer huge value for money. Especially since the bikes are quite complex nowadays. My T16 Pro arrived in super quick time and was excellently packaged. The aftersales service is really important and Bodywel really goes the extra mile here. On every query I had, I have always been answered within 24 hours. The reply was with solutions, good suggestions and / or action taken. No bot on the other side, but a friendly human. Keep up the good work you all.

Absolutely brilliant bikes

Absolutely brilliant bikes, bought the first for my wife but I couldn’t keep up so couple of days later ordered one for myself. 3 levels of pedal assist and a 7 speed shimano gear train can deal with anything you point it at, hills are effortless.
Quality of build is excellent, frame welds and overall finish is great. Riding position is very adaptable with handlebars infinitely adjustable.
Digital display showing speed odo, trip etc and Bluetooth connectivity for mapping. Lights are LED with built in brake lights. The headlight is very bright. Overall highly recommended would give it 6 stars if possible.

Amazing emtb for price

Amazing emtb for price. I bought the Bodywel m275. The box came in perfect condition. And I found it easy and enjoyable to build.i live in the Peak District so there are lots of bike trails to go on. I’ve been on quite a few rides now and the longest was 22 miles of off road terrain and it still had lots of battery power left, I have never owned an emtb before and I’m having the time of my life.
I’m 54.I’ve had two knee operations and weigh 107kg the power it gives you is ample.
I can’t wait for the better weather and my cardio fitness increasing.

firma Bodywel verkauft E-Bick STOP NICHT KAUFEN 🛑🛑🛑🛑 nicht Seriös und kriminell. als ich eine E-Bick Online bestellt habe stand kostenlos Versand und kostenlose Rückgabe . deswegen habe ich auch bei Bodywel bestellt. leider bin körperlich behindert und das war sehr schwierig für mich das e- bock zu benutzen. als ich der Verkäufer kontaktierte habe Sie haben alles versucht das ich das Fahrrad doch zu behalten. ( Sie haben gedroht mir 200€ abzu ziehen, oder ich sollte das Fahrrad selbst weiter zu verkaufen, und so weiter. ) als ich Paypal kontaktierte habe, würde das Fahrrad doch abgeholt. da ich körperlich nicht Inder Lage bin das Bock zu verpacken haben zwei von meinem Nachbarn mir geholfen und meine Frau war auch dabei. es war einband frei unbeschädigt. jedoch der Verkäufer meldet bei Paypal das Fahrrad ist besänftig?? Ich frage mich wie?? Ich habe dass Fahrrad nicht mal zusammen gebaut. als ich die Firma Bodywel so wie es sich gehört Bewertet habe. kam eine Nachricht, auf Grund meine Unfreundlichkeit, werden die das Geld behalten. 489€? das hat mit seriöse nichts zutun. das sind kriminelle und Mafia. die versuchen mit allen Mitteln mich zu betrügen. natürlich kann ich alles beweisen. alles was ich hier geschrieben habe. es würde per e-mail kommuniziert, und wer möchte wissen mit wem Geschäfte gemacht kann mich gerne kontaktieren. und ich werde die komplette e mail verlauf vor zeigen. Bodywel company sells E-Bick STOP DO NOT BUY 🛑🛑🛑🛑 not reputable and criminal. when I ordered an E-Bick online it said free shipping and free returns. that's why I ordered from Bodywel. unfortunately I am physically disabled and it was very difficult for me to use the e-bock. when I contacted the seller they tried everything to get me to keep the bike. (They threatened to deduct €200 from me, or I should sell the bike myself, and so on.) when I contacted Paypal they said the bike would be picked up. as I am physically unable to pack the bike, two of my neighbors helped me and my wife was there too. it was cover free and undamaged. but the seller reported to Paypal that the bike is broken?? I wonder how?? I didn't even put the bike together. when I rated the Bodywel company as it should be. I got a message saying that because of my rudeness, they are going to keep the money. 489€? That has nothing to do with being serious. They are criminals and the mafia. They are trying to cheat me by any means possible. Of course I can prove everything. Everything I have written here was communicated via email, and anyone who wants to know who I was doing business with is welcome to contact me. And I will show the entire email history. After seeing your repeated attacks on our Bodywel, we are very disappointed. You have mentioned multiple times about your disability and hoped for a full refund from us. Our colleague immediately applied to the general manager for a full free refund for you,and it was approved. The finance colleague processed the refund for you the next day.

After receiving the refund, you immediately changed your attitude and verbally attacked us. Anyone with common sense knows that when you submit an application to PayPal, without our agreement to your refund request, you would have to wait at least 30-60 days before entering the PayPal review process.It is impossible for you to receive a refund in just a few days.

If we had not made a special request to the general manager for a full refund for you; our warehouse would definitely have submitted evidence of this bike being used multiple times by you to finance,contrary to what was described by our customer service as unopened original packaging. When we submitted evidence that the bike had been used already to PayPal, we believe PayPal will handle it fairly and justly.

No e-bike sales company is willing to accept back a bike that has already been used by someone unless everything is normal.
