My poetry book as a debut author titled "From Cradle to Playtime" just got published through Bookleaf publishing via #WriteAngleChallenge on May 10, 2025.
The most exciting part, the book is a heartfelt collection of poems capturing the journey of motherhood and childhood milestones, and it got live on amazon just in time on the eve of mother's day (11 May, 2025) - really appreciate Bookleaf and my publishing consultant Srisha to expedite the process to honour my request of mother's day launch.
I am happy with the responsiveness over email by customer support and publishing consultant.
Overall, I am glad to have got a platform to publish my book, hassle-free!

However, there are few issues
which could have made the experience better and more satisfactory.

a) Issues with the website/portal where poems need to be submitted.
1. The dashboard for adding/deleting poems wasn't quite user-friendly. I had to delete all poems to rearrange the order of the poems.
2. There is no option for adding index or table of contents.
3. The cover creator tool has some technical issues.
4. Not possible to add illustrations to the pages.

b) Other issues
1. While the customer support was responsive over email, there is no option to connect on call.
2. Instead of best-seller package, it could have split into different add-ons where customer doesn't want to take all.
3. The delivery charge added to the book on amazon can be though through.
4. I have to submit this review of receive the author's copy. I would have liked to take time writing a detailed and more experienced review post receiving authors copy.

I am looking forward to publish another book, hoping the above is taken care of.

I took part in the Writing Angle about month back with a heart filled with high aspirations and a mind set on publishing my first book. About a month later it has happened, made possible because of BLP.
