First Step to Publishing
The process of self-publishing has never been easier with Bookleaf. Communication via WhatsApp for customer service was responsive and quick. The only reason I only give four stars is because the cover creator is the only way to make a cover. I designed a cover for my book elsewhere but could not use it. I am very happy with this whole experience! It is a bit time-consuming, but worth every minute
I have been waiting since December
I have been waiting since December - I got this for a Christmas gift - now they are saying they wont give me a copy as was stated in the beginning when I signed up for this. Now its only for indians. They said they had internal issues and apparently I have to deal with whatever they had going on and still haven't received my book in the mail. They keep telling me I have to buy it and every time I go it has a different price - first it was $1200 and now its in some other currency for 300! I am so beyond upset and this is the biggest scam I have ever seen!!!
Bookleaf publishing published my…
Bookleaf publishing published my Ebook, however they priced my Ebook at 300 Euros & even though I have contacted them countless times in the last 2 months, they have FAILED to fix it. I feel they deliberately priced my Ebook so high, keeping my writings, neve allowing anyone to read my book. I worked my tail end off and did their dues(thankful I didnt go with a more expensive package). I requested a refund in a timely manner according to their rules and I was refused. They send out automatic emails,I dont believe I ever spoke to an actual person ever and they dont have a phone number listed either. Furthermore my hard copy paperback should be on Amazon by now,but they failed to deliver. I think this is a pyramid scam, dont gwt sucked in b/c there are much better profession pu lishing companies out there, but now im terrified to spend any more of my funds.
This is an absolutely fraud and cheat…
This is an absolutely fraud and cheat company. They are openly running a scam. NOTHING they mention on their website is true. They leave you stranded talking to their bot responses for a while and then guess what, even those stop. One puts their heart and soul into having their book published and these unethical fraudsters literally shatters the whole thing for them!!! This company really needs to be shit down AND there has to be a serious consequence for their doings. They have been cheated many many people across the globe!!
70+ Emails, 14+ Days, and 2+ Months of Negligence: A Warning for Authorsyear-old author of the book…
I am a 13-year-old author of the book "Things They Don't Teach You In Class." My experience with BookLeaf Publishing has been a masterclass in corporate negligence.
1. The Cover Disaster: Before my current issue, it took BookLeaf two months just to generate a preview with my chosen cover. This was a clear warning sign of their technical incompetence that I unfortunately hoped would improve.
2. The Manuscript Hostage Situation: I discovered multiple critical errors in my manuscript that would have gone to print and ruined my book if I hadn't caught it. I requested "Edit Mode" access to fix it.
It has now been 14 days.
I have been forced to send 74+ EMAILS back and forth with their helpdesk.
Every single response is an automated script claiming "technical escalation" while the "Edit" button remains grey and locked.
3. Intentional Obstruction:
The helpdesk admits they have no power to help, yet they refuse to provide a supervisor’s contact or a direct line to the technical team. They are effectively holding my intellectual property hostage while hiding behind a "Helpdesk" loop that has reached 74 messages with zero resolution.
*I have been facing continuous issues since 17th January. This has costed me hours of time, physical exhaustion and a horrible start to my career as an authour. My current ongoing issue has been "top priority" since April 4th.*
Conclusion: If you are a parent or a young writer, stay away. BookLeaf Publishing’s support system is designed to exhaust you into giving up. I have set multiple deadlines that have been ignored. As a minor, I am appalled by the lack of respect and professional ethics shown here.
Do not publish here if you value your time or your work.
1 star
1 star – Unauthorized publication of unfinished manuscript
I had an extremely concerning experience with BookLeaf Publishing.
Despite clearly and repeatedly stating in writing that I had NOT approved my manuscript (51 Echoes of Life) for publication, had NOT signed any contract, and had NOT granted any rights or consent, the company proceeded to publish and distribute my book.
Over the course of more than a week, I was assured by their helpdesk that no action would be taken without my explicit written approval and that the matter had been escalated to their Legal Department. However, without any formal response or authorization from my side, I later received confirmation that my book had been published and listed on multiple platforms, including Amazon.
Compounding this issue, the version published is an unfinished manuscript that I had explicitly not approved. It contains numerous errors and does not reflect the standard I intended for release, raising serious concerns about the quality of their editorial process and their handling of author work.
At no point did I sign a binding agreement or provide final approval for publication.
This situation reflects a fundamental failure to respect author consent, contractual norms and intellectual property rights.
I would strongly advise other authors to exercise extreme caution before engaging with this company.
This is a fraud publishing platform
This is a fraud publishing platform. They take the payment and stop replying the mails and we can contact them nowhere. They publish the book wrongly. Dont pay them blindly.
Thanks for the publish
Thanks for the publish! I would have liked if the turnaround time was faster and it wasn't all AI bots responding to my queries.
thanks for the publish.
Do keep an option to publish without delivery charges though. That will make the experience better.
Also the amazon publish has mistakes in description, could have been better editing?
Life's Balance
Life's Balance - just got released. It is nice to see, my book live in perfect manner. Thanks to BookLeaf Publishing.
Publishing my book “श्रद्धा सुमन”
Publishing my book “श्रद्धा सुमन” has been a truly meaningful and enriching journey for me. It was not merely about getting a book published, but about shaping my thoughts and emotions into a form that could be shared with others.
Throughout the process, I experienced both learning and growth. While there were moments that required patience and careful attention, they also added depth to the overall experience and made the final outcome more satisfying.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation for my Publishing Consultant, Shri Rohit ji, whose guidance and support throughout the process were truly valuable. His assistance made the journey smoother and more reassuring. I am obliged to Ms. Sapna. Though she is my Publishing Consultant for my book, "Petals of a Lived Life" yet she extended her support and guidance.
I am grateful for this journey, as it helped me evolve as a writer and offered me a sense of fulfillment in seeing my work come to life.
Lack of communication - Promises not delivered
The company is only responsive until you book a publishing package with them. I booked Bestseller Bookthrough Package paying almost Rs. 12,000 but after this there is no way to contact them. I even reached out to its co-founders through LinkedIn, Instagram and direct email, but no response. I didn't receive publishing agreement, basic services committed as part of package even after 40+ days of book published. I would request any new author to think ten times before investing in your dreams with this company.
My experience with BookLeaf Publishing… Paid, Waited, and Still No Book – Avoid This Publisher
My experience with BookLeaf Publishing has been one of the most frustrating and draining professional experiences I’ve had.
I submitted a complete manuscript (~90 poems, 400+ pages) in June 2025 with a promised turnaround of 30–45 business days. That timeline was not just missed—it was ignored. What followed was months of chasing, repeated corrections, and an endless loop of vague responses like “we’ve escalated your case.”
After over 6 months of delay, my book was finally “published” on 3rd February 2026. Except it wasn’t. Only 27 pages were uploaded—just acknowledgements and preliminary sections. None of the actual content made it through.
Let that sink in: after half a year of waiting, they published nothing of substance.
Since then, the pattern has been painfully consistent:
Assurances without action
Deadlines given and missed (including a firm commitment for full publication by 24th March 2026)
Scheduled calls that never happened
No clear answers on manuscript status, draft access, or even basic content confirmation
What makes this worse is the complete lack of ownership. At no point did anyone step in with clarity, accountability, or urgency. It felt like being stuck in a system designed to delay rather than deliver.
Even more concerning—after months of silence, new objections about content length were suddenly introduced, something that was never communicated at the beginning. Changing expectations after wasting months of an author’s time is simply unacceptable.
This is not just poor service. It reflects deep issues in coordination, communication, and commitment.
If you are considering publishing with them, understand this:
You may spend months following up, only to receive partial or incorrect results, with no clear resolution in sight.
As of today, I am still waiting for my book to be published in full.
An experience that started with trust has ended in complete disappointment.
I participated in the 21day poem…
I participated in the 21day poem writing challenge but ended up completing my poems in less than that time. I wish I knew it was uncommon to pay someone to publish my work. So after purchasing the initial fee to participate, I opted for the free publishing services package once I submitted my book for review. Within 24 hours, I received an email with a link to purchase my ebook as it went live on their website on the same day! I’m interested to see what the timeline from here on will look like to having my paperback published and ready for sale as well. But so far, I am happy with them.
Satisfactory experience with BookLeaf Publishing
Publishing my poetry collection, “The Grammar of Stillness” with BookLeaf Publishing was a smooth and efficient experience. The entire process was conducted 100% online, which made everything simple and convenient. The team was always available to provide the necessary guidance and support.
The Helpdesk responded promptly and accurately to emails and was accessible whenever assistance was needed. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience and will definitely approach BookLeaf again for my upcoming works. I would also recommend them to other authors.
Awaiting Some Good Night Music
My book is about to go live…of course I will know this is real when the copyrighted book is in my hands and I can refer all and everyone to Amazon to buy their own copy! Dawn Barakah A. Alfakeer, Author of Some Good Night Music: Speaking Tabo
I can't get your help in the changes my published book needs
Thank you for helping me publish this book. However it needs some correcting. I have paid you $30.00 to have someone on your staff to help me do this. No one has contacted me about anything, except to tell me I can order it "as is". I keep getting the "run around", when it come to help. What do I need to do for you to keep your word. I need the "help line", to make this book better than it is now. I want to believe you are honest in keeping your word to help with the changes I've requested per email, and that my $30.00 is not wasted money. Please have someone from your staff help me in this. Thank you.
It was really amazing
It was really amazing. The whole team is very responsive and answers the queries instantly.
Publishing my book with Bookleaf has…been easy, inexpensive, and full of support.
Publishing my book with Bookleaf has been wonderful! First, their website for writing your book is super easy to use and so helpful! Through the process Bookleaf was always in contact with me via email, answering any questions I had and giving me a clear timeline and what to expect. They delivered on all of their promises and then some! To me, this was not exactly self publishing but a sort of middle ground between traditional publishing and self. It was very reasonably priced (less than $100 total) and no added fees that you have to spend. And I am a proud published author now!! So exciting! Tysm Bookleaf!
worst
