We have just moved across a few counties with Britannia Lanes of Devon. From the initial enquiry to the final item entering our new home, they have been incredibly thorough, professional and polite.
I would happily recommend them to anyone wishing to move in or out of Devon.

I was really lucky to find Britannia Lanes of Devon to do my move at a day's notice. The office staff were very helpful and supportive, providing me with the required forms to complete online.
The removals team of Adrian and Tarik were very friendly and competent. They really went above and beyond expectations, as I couldn't take possession of my keys until 4.30pm on the day of my move. They insisted on completing all the unloading of my possessions on the day, saving me a huge amount of money for a return the next day, to unload the remainder. Thank you guys ! 😊

The whole process was very professional with a special mention to Leighton and Hayden - the removers on the day - who were friendly, polite, helpful and made the moving day as stress free as possible.

N.B. Britannia Lanes were also very competitive price wise.

After a stressful buying and selling experience Britannia Lanes were a breath of fresh air!

They were professional at all times and the moving crew (Leighton, Haydon and Colin) were friendly and extremely efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The initial visit to evaluate what needed packing and removing to the new address was very through and carried out in a pleasant way by Michael. The estimate arrived promptly and was easy to understand. Any amendments were easily made and any queries answered efficiently. Tony came the day before moving day, to pack everything - including the biscuits meant for the next day !! This was so well done, there were no breakages.
One moving day, Michael and Jimmy managed to load everything including a number of heavy garden pots ! They carried out the work in a good humoured way and appreciated the coffee and bakes.
On arrival at the new address, all was unloaded and placed as directed into the designated rooms. All round an excellent experience, in addition the company also returned to collect empty boxes and reusable paper.

Excellent service! From the beginning to the end. We had asked for everything to be packed and transported for us to our new home. They came and took care of the everything. Packed all our belongings, labelled them (which made is super easy for us when unboxing), loaded all the boxes as well as all the furniture. The guys were really friendly and helpful. They carefully placed all the boxes in our new house.
We would definitely recommend Britannia Lanes and we will use them again in the future if needed.

I had a very positive experience moving. There's a lot of logistics involved and I'm sure every move is different but from the outset Lynn and Andy were helpful and accommodating, with a quick video call to accurately check the volume to be moved and a same-day quote.

On the day, the team were absolute superstars and solved a number of tricky problems that would otherwise have been a nightmare. They were friendly, fast, professional and their good spirits lifted mine on an otherwise difficult day! Thanks again.

We were moving elderly parents and had packing and removals. The actual movers were wonderful, going above and beyond what could be expected and were efficient, polite and respectful during what was a very stressful move. Our grateful thanks.

Pick up and drop off was very smooth with no issues. Storage for contents for a few months was also very easy to organise with everything looked after perfectly.

At first I thought they were a great company… I was so wrong!

We had been in communications for months. The gave us the quote, which due to the move being 300+ miles, was £4k ish. Nevertheless, we proceeded. I asked about insurance. I was told by staff, that any item, over £1000 was £3 per item.
We discussed this and due to not having a single item worth over £1000, we didn’t go ahead with that insurance.

Moving day came, and all seemed fine. We made the move to Cornwall a day prior as we were moving from Manchester.

All seemed to go well, until we got to the new house and started unpacking.

Not one; but two TVS were both ruined. Damaged is an understatement; and to make it worse, neither TV were packing up in any way. Just free standing in the HGV, after a 6 hour journey.

The two removal men were helpful and advised us how to claim back.

So the process of claiming back the money for two brand new TVS (£600) just didn’t happen.
Britannia lanes refused to pay out anything because we didn’t take out the insurance at the start. As I explained we didn’t because it was not explained the way it should have been; and also, surely not packing a TV in any form of packaging, is breaching their end?

I’m disgusted and have stopped a few people using their services after this.

We’re still no further on; and constant emails to Sarah Lane are ongoing, along with zero acknowledgement from her about the non existent packing.

I’m taking this currently through the moving ombudsman. But il be honest, they are a family run business who won’t ever admit fault. Conmen at their finest and I won’t ever use anyone like this again.

What a great service! Moving is expensive, but these guys were good and not the most costly. From the first call with Lynn Bailey in the office and the quote process, to answering all of my questions and annoying emails about little things (it was all new to me!). We got there, and on the day of the move, Harvey & Leyton arrived on time and soon got to work. They were attentive, friendly, and apart from a very short break, didn't really stop. Things all went to plan and even one rogue piece of a stand that managed to escape into the van under a blanket, we found two weeks later, thanks to their diligence, and returned promptly. Such an easy process, from enquiring to the booking to the end. The Delivery men (Tony &Tony) turned up early, got straight to work, lovely men and super speedy, but also very careful. Was like watching a huge game of tetras in their van! Moving into a new build obviously can come with long waits, and they went back to the yard for lunch etc, then they were at our new house before us, and got straight to it with another man (sorry cant remember his name?) who was also brilliant and speedy! Carpet protectors were used, they were all very efficient.
I would highly recommend Britannia Lanes- worth every penny.

None of them could have done more to ensure they understood what we wanted, nor worked harder to deliver that nor to have been more courteous in doing so....it's hard to imagine how the removal team kept their sense of humour when there were so many heavy boxes and three storeys ..but they did - and all the while it seemed nothing was too much trouble.
And I mustn't fail to mention that in the previous 16 months while we had goods in storage the office based staff had also been unfailingly helpful.

We had a complex 4 day move between a house and garden in Devon to an apartment on the 20th floor in central London, with precise delivery constraints. The team of Billy, James and Tony were simply amazing. From the pack up in Devon, to the seamless and stress free unload, unpack and organisation on arrival, they were collaborative, intelligent, and NOTHING was too much trouble. They made what could have been a stressful time, a real joy. It was like having your best mates taking care of you. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Great support from the Exeter depot staff, friendly and helpful team on the day. Having moved very many times, this rates as one of the best experiences.

Great team, awesome sense of humor and a smooth move

Great service. I needed movers very late notice and Britannia Lanes were able to book me in when many others couldn't. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and professional. The crew arrived early on the moving day and made quick work of loading and unloading at the other end. It was a super stressful day for me but having movers who were so efficient took a huge weight off.

Your staff were so helpfull and they put me at ease. They were cheerful and happy in their job nothing was to much. I had the same lads each day for my three day move. I would definitely recommend your company.
