This is the exact email I sent to them and I will include their response as well:
Thanks for your extremely slow response. I stopped into one of your stores and was impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. So because of that I decided to buy some more products online. The online experience was so terrible. It kept putting things into my cart that I didn’t choose and not placing the things I did. It took several attempts before getting it right. Then you use Shop Pay, which is fine, but I manually added a new card number and made sure to choose that at checkout. However once the order went through it showed it had charged the wrong card. I immediately went to try to change the order or cancel and reorder with the correct card number. There was no way to do so on your site. I looked for a customer service number and there was none. My only options were email or the chat feature. I chose the chat feature which is just a bot and no way to speak to a real person. This was all done merely minutes after placing to order. I got a response that I would be contacted and got some form email stating that as well. And here we are 11 days after placing the order l finally get a response. For this I will no longer even consider your products. You have a lot of work to do if you want to even come close to earning customer loyalty.

Back when Narcissist body spray came…
Back when Narcissist body spray came out I RAN to the store and bought two, I was so excited! It smell AMAZING- for 5 minutes. Then poof- it was gone. I did a review on their website, giving it 1 star. They would NOT publish my review. And I know darn well I'm not the only one who felt/feels this way. Because of that, I never bought one more thing from them. I'll stick to BBW.

I can’t make this up every time I try to post something about it they take it down.
So just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a month-long delivery time after ordering for Christmas and cyber Monday?
I run a small business myself, so it’s really sad that this is their answer and they cannot give me even an estimated ETA as to when I will receive my order.

I’m a huge fan of Buff City Soap! My review is based online only as I don’t have a store near me. My sisters raved to me about Buff City’s laundry detergent so I went online & ordered some & ever since my first delivery I never looked back. I love every scent I have tried & I have tried a lot! I have also tried their soaps, lotions, shower oil & love all of them. Amazing scents. I have always received my shipments fast & with no issues.

Local store just closed after 4 yrs, no warning. All these rewards they send out via email and your loyalty points can only be used in store. No stores within 100 miles of me. The store in vero beach Florida where my mom lives... permanently closed as well. This company is beyond a Hassel and clearly has stability issues. Shop at thelaundress.com. yes they are a little more expensive, but been around forever and quality is exceptional.
Buff City Soap is a customer is number one business. They ask if you need help, what you are looking for and help you with new scents that they are showcasing. I am always so happy when I leave!!
I love going to Buff City Soap to be exposed to the newest scents. It always smells wonderful and you can get that same wonder smell in your shower, in your clothes and on your person. It feels great to smell fantastic!!

I have been going to the Winston Salem…
I have been going to the Winston Salem NC store. It has gone downhill. I work with a lot of nurses at a local hospital. They used to say “you smell so good! What do you use?” I used to Narcissist laundry detergent. Now I can hardly smell the scent. It’s expensive enough without having to purchase a “scent booster!” Now I can’t recommend this place.
My first time trying their dryer balls…
My first time trying their dryer balls and very disappointed. When i opened the box of 3 the smell was amazing and strong, which I loved. My first dry clothes had no smell and had so much static, that I had to redry using dryer sheets. I tried the dryer balls again, but this time using 2 of them, the results were the same.
FYI - NO autoship notice
So disappointed. LOVE their Narcissist laundry detergent. I ordered several other products online in that scent and set everything for autoship. These other products for whatever reason do not smell anything like the detergent, my family did not like it at all and we threw them away. Silly me, forgot it was on autoship, I’ll admit fault in that.
My first issue with this company is, why do you not send an autoship reminder ahead of time like every other company? It’s a simple, honest, transparent notification that allows the customer to see if any prices increased, make changes, add products to meet whatever free shipping limit is in place at that time, etc. But no, you just charge my card and send an order confirmation email.
You don’t have any phone number listed to call, I had to chat with the bot online, who submitted my request for cancellation BEFORE the items shipped. However, by the time your representative responded to me a couple hours later, it had already shipped and you refused to cancel and refund.
This is such a scummy “gotcha” practice. No notice, no quick contact info, no cancellations, no refund. Now I’m out all the money for products I don’t even like and will get thrown away like the first batch, plus $10 shipping which I could have at the very least avoided by adding detergent I like to the shipment.
My only hope is that the products I receive this time actually smell like the Narcissist detergent and I’ll actually use them.
I Moved On, and I’m Glad I Did!
Update: I needed to buy laundry soap again, and after the way Buff City handled my last order, I decided to move on. I placed an order with a new company on a Tuesday and had it in hand by Friday. No delays, no excuses, just the freshest laundry ever by the weekend. And honestly, the scent is better than anything I’ve used before.
If you’re looking for something similar, you can ask ChatGPT for a list of luxury all natural laundry soaps that match your favorite Buff City scent. There are better options out there.
And to Buff City Soap, I gave you the chance to make things right, both in this review and through direct emails. You chose not to respond. That silence cost you a loyal customer of three years.

I’ve been using Buff City Soap’s laundry soap for three years and have always loved it. Their products are free of harmful chemicals and smell amazing!
Unfortunately, a recent experience has made me reconsider. I placed an order on January 11th and waited patiently for it to ship. After contacting customer support on January 20th, I was informed the order had been lost and would be reshipped. I waited four more days without receiving a shipping confirmation, so I reached out again on January 24th, requesting my order to be overnight shipped. I didn’t get a response or follow-up about my feedback regarding the support agent.
Finally, on January 28th, I received an update that my order had shipped, so it’s on its way.
The lack of follow-up and communication was the most disappointing part. Buff City Soap could improve by having better systems in place to handle situations like this. I still love their products, but I hope they address these issues for a smoother customer experience in the future.

charged twice for laundry detergent
I purchased laundry detergent, that I like and boost. I was charged twice on my debit card, not to my awareness. I called and the manager who said it was a merchant (bank) problem, and it will be removed by end of business day. I found out that this type of fraud has been happening at this store. The manager agreed to meet me and was a no show at the (Oakley, Ohio) store. They continue to say my card was only charged once, but statement says twice. My card is frozen for 4 days while the banks investigates. No refund to date. Poor customer service.

She is claiming to be a general manager of you store in Powell.
I have purchased a Chanel Mini flap bag from her and made a payment 3460 USD on July 22 via the Wise App.
The bag was never shipped to me, she made different excuses why she can't ship my purse, then she stoped responding and blocked me on messenger.
I'm not the only victim, there is an other lady, were scammed the same way at the same time.
We have filed reports to a various authorities including FBI.
I would like to report that Brittney Leighann Ward is a pathological liar, manipulator and serial Scammer specializing on dealing in luxury goods. We have and can provide all the proofs.

I don't know what is wrong with their online store. But it is so messed up. Bought some products at their Texas store in Odessa. Really liked it but was only there visiting. I went online and they were having a sale. I tried for over a week to order 75$ in product. Every time I tried to check out I got " card rejected. Please use another card ". I tried thre different cards which are all in very good standing and have plenty of money. So I tried to email as there is no phone number. Email rejected due to error ???? So I did a search and finally found a new customer service number. I emailed my problem. I received a reply they would review my email and get back. Again over a week of three more emails no reply and web site still won't let me order. So the sale is not available to purchase anything. Very disappointing and horrible customer service. I ended up buying a different product on Amazon that was similar. This company should not have a website offering products that has no customer service or was to contact them. Misrepresentation of their sale items.
Ok. I just found out that the site I tried to order from is a fraud site. I only wish the real Buff City Soap would take action. I got scammed over 1400$ trying to buy product off this carbon copy fraud site

Great gifts for Christmas
Visited Buff City Soap for the very first time. The shop is spacious and clean and the scents are not overwhelming. It’s located in an area with plenty of parking (Concord Mills).
This place is fantastic if you’re looking for organic, all-natural ingredients. They have soaps, laundry detergents, lip balm, body sprays and body creams and so much more!
Ken, our guide through the shop, was friendly and knowledgeable of all the different types of products within the store. He stated that they even have classes for those interested.
This is a great go to place for upcoming holiday gifts. Please try this place out

When entering the store, the customer service was on point. The customer rep was very helpful when explaining the different plant-based products in the store and which ones had the shea butter in the to help with my skin. I am a swimmer most days of the week and I was looking for something that would help my skin not be so dry when getting out of the pool at the community center I frequent. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
