I have ordered off Building Plastic online on 18th September, today is the 28th September & still have not received my order

After placing my first order with them and not hearing anything for 2 days I looked up the review and panicked when I saw all of the terrible comments. Logged a support ticket with their AI and never heard back. Despite this, my order arrived unexpectedly this morning in full and within their predicted time of 5 working days.
They can absolutely work on their communication and the AI help doesn't fill with confidence, but my order is here, it's on time and it's exactly what I ordered so I cannot fault it

Ordered two models of ceiling cladding and only one was delivered
Told that the other one will be delivered 2 weeks later and I agreed
6 weeks later and two follow up emails from my side and haven’t heard back from them
Luckily i paid with PayPal and they refunded me the money
I wouldn’t recommend dealing with this company

⭐ 1/5 – Extremely disappointing customer service and repeated broken promises
We ordered two 150mm window boards and subsequently requested an exchange for the larger 240mm size. We were perfectly happy to pay the price difference. Instead, we were told we would have to purchase the new items at full price and wait up to 10 days for a refund of the original order. After this, we decided to return the items and purchase elsewhere. The real issue, however, is the appalling customer service. Since Friday, 18 September, we have contacted the company repeatedly and have been promised email updates within 24 hours. Not a single promised email has arrived. Their website directs customers to a contact form that appears to be missing. When I asked for a customer service or complaints email address, I was told they do not provide one and that complaints can only be handled through live chat. I submitted a formal complaint, which they confirmed had been logged and referred for a manager review. Their response? Yet another promise of an email within 24 hours! No confirmed collection date, no clear refund arrangements and no actual resolution. We simply wanted to exchange two items and pay the difference. What should have been a straightforward request has turned into days of chasing customer service. Based on our experience, I would not purchase from this company again. Extremely disappointing.

The order was placed by phone with a very pleasant lady. I paid by credit card but realised immediately that the price was wrong and called back. She had put one extra panel on the order and said that it would be amended and the difference refunded. The order arrived with the extra panel! It has taken just over a month for me to get a refund and nearly 2 weeks for the panel to be collected. As previous complaints highlight, you cannot speak to a human being unless you are buying! The owner/s need to wake up and smell the coffee. This type of business will fail due to virtually non existent customer service.

I placed order #165336 on 3 September, and at the time of ordering I was advised that delivery would be within 5 days. It has now been 12 days, and I still have not received my order.

This delay is now affecting my project and causing significant inconvenience. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the complete lack of communication. I have tried to contact you through the online chat, but I was told that someone would get back to me before 4pm, and nobody ever contacted me.

I need an immediate update on the status of my order and a clear explanation for the delay. Please also confirm when I can realistically expect delivery.

I am extremely disappointed with the service so far. If I do not receive a prompt response and resolution, I will have no choice but to share my experience through reviews and relevant consumer platforms so that other customers can make an informed decision before ordering.

Please treat this as an urgent matter and get back to me as soon as possible.

Awful service, awful company, I would even go as far as to say it’s a scam. Ordered £600 worth of facias, told it would be delivered the following week, nothing arrived, tried to call - no one can take a call about existing orders only sales ( typical ) so had to use the only service, which of course is a chat bot. Unable to speak to an actual human being. Was told every day that the messages had been passed on to the “customer service team” and we would be contacted by 4pm that day, this went on for a week. Still nothing, had to order from another company who delivered the next day. Still waiting 3 weeks later for our refund. Basically took our money and did nothing. STAT WELL AWAY

Absolutely terrible service. Said order would arrive within 5-7 business days, then a week later had email to say it wouldn’t be delivered for another 2 weeks . Apparently it was damaged in transit and had to be returned and then it was out of stock . None of this I believe. I cancelled order and after a week my refund still hasn’t been dealt with . There is no contact number so all correspondence is by email , then after contacting them again the new excuse is the accounts lady is out of office. It’s just one thing and another with them . Terrible service and not credible .Avoid this company like the plague !!

Totally incompetent and crooked to boot too. Took my money and then told me they dont deliver to my address. Then said if i paid more i could get a different product delivered. Waited then for 10 working days for a refund that never came. Opens a paypal dispute and still trying to get a refund. Bunch of crooks .. avoid and save yourself some misery

Extra poor service. They didn't deliver my items even after double the stated delivery time had passed. I cancelled my order, but getting a refund (around £1800) was a massive hassle. It took almost three weeks and required me to send constant follow-up emails and chatbots msgs just to get my own money back. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

Company needs to improve their communication with customers. On initial confirmation of order they indicate further emails "Awaiting Dispatch and "Delivery Estimate".

Neither arrived!

Order arrived yesterday - 7 days including weekend so no issues there. No prior indication of delivery .
It was pouring rain and I was in a MEWP clearing roof valleys and gutters when GAP delivery driver presented. He was spot on and himself got soaked carting the materials in to property Top guy so no issues there.

Materials were as expected in new and undamaged condition - so positive in this regard.

Would I trade with them again - yes but they really do need to address their business model in respect of client communication.

Sell sub-standard products / damaged goods refuse to refund or replace. Next stop small claims court. Don't be fooled by the website.

Dire. No info provided as to status of order or delivery dates. The only contact I had from them was the driver on my soorstep asking my why noone was in for the delivery. No help given on website or when calling, 'someone will call you back' this never happened.

I wouldn’t even give it a star!
Materials came damaged and with different finishes. We had builders in to install so paid labour. No resolution from the company. I should’ve read the reviews before purchasing from them! Avoid at all costs

Length of ogee fascia arrived with strap indentations gouged into edge , for the most part managed to cut to avoid , but should not have to . Plus board is not perfectly flat but bowed across it's width. Didn't want any face fixings so a right pain . 100 mm flat trim , no protective cover , consequently scratched in places .

couldn't fault them with communication for delivery but it all went downhill after i took delivery.
my workmate was off on delivery day so i put the fascias and soffits into the house.
when we went to use them we noticed 1 fascia had 4 massive dents all 1 metre from each other.
when i contacted them about it i was fobbed off by a chat bot that i would be contacted next day before 4pm.
scaffold is coming down monday so this has totally screwed up everything yet no one got in touch.
AVOID THESE CHARLATANS.

Ordered ceiling panels on the 6th June and got a confirmation e-mail on Monday 8th June that delivery would be the 12th June. I got another e-mail that said the warehouse was out of stock of these and the delivery date would be the 28th July !!!! which I wasn’t happy about and tried to contact customer services via email and chat bot.

I eventually got someone via email who confirmed that it would take up to 7-10 days to return my money… they are so quick at taking it and not returning it. I actually went via my bank as I emailed them with no response from customer services again.
I would not use them again that is for sure and wished I’d read the reviews here before pushing the buy button.

Non existence notice on delivery date. Found out on the day from the driver when he was outside the property, despite me asking specifically for a date. Found out after ordering, that they dont actually have the stock and they pass it on to a third party and they can deliver the items before an actual delivery date is created, which is what happened.

Avoid them, don't use them. scam company.

Buyer Beware. Failed to meet delivery time of 5 days as per website, over 2 weeks now and no sign of order. No communication telling of delays. No new delivery date. On line 'chat' promises call back by 4pm which doesn't happen - and their office closes at 4pm, Mon-Fri only.
