Poor service

Butters Kidsgrove (virtual branch as there is no physical branch?)
I was extremely impressed with Emma and placed my house on the market with her.
Her attention initially was very good however from mid March everything changed.
Emma did not return calls, did not respond to texts or emails.
I was then contacted by Camila from the Hanley office who informed me Emma now worked in a different branch. What sort of service is that. You point of contact moves internally and no explanation that someone else would be dealing with you, indeed a different branch also no explanation why none of my calls, texts and emails were not responded to.
I was coming to the end of my 20 week lock in and the final straw was when the property was left unsecured following a Butters accompanied viewing.
I have now left Butters
You need to sort out your communication and relationship management as well as inform your staff that properties should be locked upon departure!!

Clerical error led to extra fees…

I was disappointed with my experience at BJB. I felt there was a lack of accountability around a clerical error that led to unexpected fees. As a client who also used their recommended solicitor, I expected a higher standard of care and transparency, especially given the significant amount of money paid in fees. Unfortunately, this has left me dissatisfied with the overall service. I have tried raising this several times with them and been dismissed each time. Such a shame, as the front of office staff work so hard.

We are sorry to hear that you are basing your review on a clerical error. The contract always states the fee and this was not changed. I know that the staff had a good relationship with you throughout the transaction, working hard on offers and also helping you with your onward property search and purchase. Nevertheless we wish you all the best going forward.

Very friendly and amazing service

The service you get from everyone at BJB is amazing I had a phone call with Sophie and Sarah to discus a few different properties and was shown round by them both and they make sure to help you in every way they can I can’t recommend anyone more than these amazing people

Great Service from Sophie

Sophie, along with the entire team, was absolutely fantastic to work with. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, always making us feel at ease. They were consistently available to provide help and guidance, promptly answering our questions or offering advice throughout our search.

Can’t believe this company they are…

Can’t believe this company they are supposed to be in the business of selling house but seem more interested in ticking boxes. Due to their arrogant attitude I lost a house I was purchasing, the apology I was given does not change this. All I can say is I do hope they review their company policy in favour of business sense and customers. If I could less than one star I would

Buying my council house

Buying my council house, valued last year at 145,00. Was ill and did not complete sale in time, so had to have a fresh valuation. Now valued at 165,00. Did properties increase by 15 percent in 12 months?????Gross incompetence. I think this estate agent makes up its own rules.

I would like to know who came to value your house and what the property address is. We do not actually conduct valuations, this would come from a RICS accredited surveyor. You could be making a derogatory comment without my branch even being involved in your valuation. BJB Northwich Excellent Service

Hi,
I have read quite a few very negative reviews for BJB and in the past I would agree with the all. But we personally dealt with the Northwich office, David Thompson branch manager was excellent. Helped us out with viewings and kept regular contact, keeping us up to date with new listings etc. Unfortunately the property we are purchasing is with another estate agent. But David is a really professional in his approach and hope that reviews in the future will reflect this.

Absolutely appalling service from a…

Absolutely appalling service from a company that you would have thought placed a little more importance on customer service.
No show for a viewing - Really?
Complaint to both the agent and the management team and not even the courtesy of a response.
In a market where your not the only Estate Agent in town, I'd certainly be keeping well away

Very pleased with the service I have received from BJB in Northwich, Dave and staff have always been accommadating nothing to much trouble. Dave has kept me informed all of the time, very pleased with the communication and services I would definitely recommend if you have any thoughts of moving.

My experience with the Hanley

My experience with the Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent branch. If you are a landlord, please, please, please don't rent your house through this company. You will pay them for doing absolutely nothing! If I had to tell you all the problems I've had with this company and their incompetence I would need to write an essay. Good luck if you take this lightly. You have been told!!!!

Messaged them asking if a property was still for sale. they didnt bother getting back to me but did put my email on there marketing adds witch i didnt give them permission to do.

Hanley Branch

There is something really wrong with a company that makes commission on sales yet refuses to communicate with prospective buyers when offers are submitted. I offered on a particular property and chased and chased for two weeks. I was finally told the property went to best and final bids but I was never contacted. I put that down to a simple communication issue and moved on. Second property i put an offer in which was before xmas and I am still awaiting feedback on the offer. I chased a couple of times and told “someone will call me back. Maybe they are waiting for a sign from god :-)
Anyone thinking of listing with this company be careful, if I see a property that I like which I just did, if its with BJB i dont even bother enquiring now

Please read these reviews and avoid!!

Omg why didn't we read these reviews before instructing them!!
This could literally be war and peace but I'll try to keep it short.
They started a bidding war without our permission that backfired badly when the buyer couldn't afford it.

Before this we had a perfectly good buyer who they stopped responding to and they physically came and knocked our door to ask why we wouldn't sell to them!!

They get rid of staff it seems on a daily basis as you never deal with same person twice.

After the debacle of the bidding war, another newbie took over and told us he has 15 people waiting to buy our house and it would be sold by the weekend, guess what, not 1 viewing did he produce 🤣

Totally incompetent and lie through their teeth. AVOID
