Takes ages to get any response

Takes ages to get any response. Having issues where magazines get sent to same address as opposed to different addresses. It’s just a bit of a pain in the backside. Not very user friendly. I shouldn’t have to keep cancelling subscriptions and renewing when I get an offer.

I love History - had BBC History mags

I love History and have had BBC History magazines from time to time. Recently I was offered a six month deal and so took it up. Very happy with my experience

No delivery

Ordered 4 subscriptions 2 months ago and have only received one 'trial' issue since. Difficult to navigate site and they make it practically impossible to speak with a real person. They were birthday gifts and but my recipient hasn't received their gift :( Such a shame. This is the second time I have had lousy service with this company. Sent them several emails chasing up my order. They send you a no reply email back and suggest you fill out a form. I received one reply back but there isn't even an option to select my Countryfile Magazine from the dropdown menu so I am unable to even chase it up.

They do not honour their sales orders

Bought a subscription £59 on 2 June 2023 to Gardeners World for my father for his birthday
It is now 9 April 2024 and he has not even received one issue
What a scam
Paid by credit card so will be able to claim against them for fraud

Everything was in order and delivered…

Everything was in order and delivered on time. I then received another package which contained a Beginners Guide, Small gardening glove, and Secateurs. I was confused that I had received this package as I hadn't ordered it. It seems to have been a gift as it didn't cost anything according to the invoice, but because I was not notified I would be receiving this, I thought I would be billed for it. It would have been nice to have been notified before delivery. However, it was very nice and thank you.

Money wrongly withheld

7 days ago I wrote a review about the "errors" made by this company in wrongly taking £117 from my account for a cancelled subscription and not paying it back. There was an anodyne reply from the company's customer services hoping everything is now sorted out but the incompetence (dishonesty?) continues. Having been told that my payment would be returned within 3-5 working days of 20th March (so by yesterday) the money has still not been returned. When I rang again today I was fobbed off with another tale (which made no sense) along the lines of "I'm sorry you were told that, that's not the case, you'll receive your refund by 8th April". No prizes for guessing what's highly unlikely to happen by 8th April. This company is clearly an outfit that doesn't give a stuff about customer service and is happy for its staff to spin any old yarn rather than getting on with returning money it should never have taken from my account in the first place. Such staggering carelessness makes you wonder if it really is just incompetence or whether this company and its practices are actually downright dishonest? Do not take out a subscription with this shoddy outfit!!
