Absolute garbage company. Most likely a bunch of monkeys would manage it better than it is now. Tracks are made of pasta or play doh. Ticket prices are horrendous for what they offer in return.

“Wear a face covering humbug

“Wear a face covering to protect us all”

What rubbish .What would protect us all is a decent service .Don’t shut the toilets and waiting room in freezing cold weather .Sheer laziness and wanting to save money .C2C were bad enough before Covid god knows what we have to look forward to now apart from a price hike for reduced services .

Canceled.

Again. Another train cancled, and I will be charged £20 for coming off at the same station. I dont mind that my day is ruined, but I hate paying the fare. And anyone who has ever tried to contact c2c for reimbursement knows that it is all but impossible.

Worst app and Customer Service…

Worst app and Customer Service EVER!!!!!!!
Took money, no confirmation so couldn’t pick up tickets.
Customer Service soooo rude, slow and antiquated. So many times I have lost money and smart card never worked even after repeated calls/emails.
C2c should be stripped of their tender. Government please act as there are so many other people also angry.

Why…

Why in the middle of another pandemic are you making your customers wait on packed trains for over 5 mins just to make up a shcedule? Surely you must have learnt from the 1st 2nd and 3rd lock down this isn't a good practice? Because you don't care about the health and wellbeing of your customers, but making sure you leave on time is more beneficial? Your lost for common sense!

Welcome to the rail operator where…

Welcome to the rail operator where buying a ticket is unimportant, most ticket offices are unmanned, and there are no revenue inspectors on the trains. Barriers are often left wide open at each station, the only places where any attempt is made to enforce fares is at Southend Central, Grays, and Basildon.
Want to push through the barriers? Go ahead, no attempt will be made to stop you.
No mask enforcement either.
This is becoming a really poorly 'run' railway.
Oh, and customer service? I believe you get through to a call centre either in Bombay [India] or in Scotland! Sums it up really. Hopeless

JOKE

Monday to Friday I can't complain but Saturday and Sunday always the same railworks so my half hour journey turns into a hour journey. Why do I pay £123 roughly a month? Why don't you do the work at night 9/10 for the week but 0/10 for weekend C2C weekend joke

This rail company is a total disgrace

This rail company is a total disgrace. Constant delays and train cancellations with no reasonable explanations. Trains to/from Chafford Hundred are constantly delayed and/or cancelled and then it would take forever for a refund to be processed

Over 90% bad reviews.

It is obvious from over 90% of reviews that this company exists solely to make money without giving a decent or proper service for the price.

It will be pointless to highlight all the failings of this pathetic sham as every week there is an issue or problem that they don't even care about.

I now praise those who jump barriers in front of staff , or push through barriers whilst staff look on and wave a hand. The only people they stop will be the frail, elderly or vulnerable.

If you can get away without paying then I would do it as if they cannot manage their stations or service properly then they don't deserve people's money. How many times have you got back home to find all the gates open and no staff around?

We, the mugs pay, but loads don't because C2C won't pay for staffing levels. I hail them as why should they pay when C2C cannot be bothered to answer emails, pay refunds promptly, treat us with respect, put proper facilities bon all the stations for all hours.

They are a shambles, I do agree their rolling stock is decent as previously mentioned by another person, bit that is it. Security guards? They spend more time chatting to each other and on their phones. Disgrace.

Book tickets to Portsmouth online was quoted £36 for an open return. When ticket arrived it was a day return when I contacted C2C they told me that they did not do open returns for them dates but then told me if I wanted an open return it would be £97.
I will never use C2C online to book tickets ever again I had to go out and buy different tickets to get home on a different day it’s spoiled my holiday.
The customer services do not care at all, avoid at all costs.

Indifferent and undisciplined staff

I had a very poor experience with c2c last year when I was sold a ticket to a station that was inaccessible due to engineering works and was effectively abandoned with no money in my pocket, in an unfamiliar part of London. I am disabled and this turn of events caused me tremendous problems. During the journey I witnessed, on a number of occasions, the disdain of the staff on duty for customers, treating them with indifference and being openly rude about them after they were gone. It was genuinely shocking.

The complaint department demonstrated a marked insensitivity towards my disabled status which is worrying.

The Ombudsman negotiated compensation where I would receive a £20 rail voucher and the fare for my journey would be reimbursed.

I received the voucher. The fare for the journey was never returned to me.

c2c rolling stock is decent quality, but there is something rotten in the heart of this company. The breadth of the failures I witnessed can only be the result of poor management.

Well I like c2c because I take it all the time and it goes to Liverpool Street which is what I like about it. What I don't like about it is that it's delayed at chafford hundred and what I also like about c2c is that it dosent interlock with any other network

No Lift or Escalators at Fenchurch Street

1st day after Covid lockdown, trains are late, so all pilling on one over crowded train, no escalators or lift at Fenchurch Street, despite having a year to sort things out.So if your disabled, forget travelling to Fenchurch, unless you can bunny hop down flights of stairs. No staff to help. If you can find them VERY RUDE! - C2C should be ashamed of themselves

Don't waste your time trying to buy tickets online through C2C. I wasted an hour with errors at the end each time. I've now been charged for two sets of tickets I never completed the purchase on. After complaining about this, the company is asking me to waste even MORE of my time, by sending redacted bank statements to them to prove the money has come out of my account.
