Even after I asked them to postpone the start of the program they withdrew 360$, caused me to be short on my rent for my new place. I contacted them about it and they didn't care and because I didn't say SPECIFICALLY to defer the payment and only said to postpone it they refused to refund me. They literally charged me without even starting. The process and then closed my account with them. SCAM ARTISTS

This bussiness lies about its consolidation , when I asked what the effect would be in my credit if I consolidated with them they told me there would be zero effect, after doing my own research and speaking with other lenders it was made very clear to me that a consumer proposal for consolidation would have a sever impact on my credit that could last upwards of 7 years , and would affect my ability to obtain employment in certain fields. I asked them to stop contacting me as i was no longer interested in their service theu continue to call my monthly , they have called me once this month on the 12 and THREE times just today all within the span of a minute between calls, they then began to text me as well , I am sick of this continued harassment from a dishonest company , proposal companies need to explain in full the effects of a proposal but they don't they are praying on vulnerable people and HARASSING them when theyre told someone is no longer interested

Don't trust them with your finances.
This company charged me a significant amount, despite the fact I never signed up for their services, I don't have an account, and I had never even heard of their company before.
The onus was put on me to find out why I was charged, they did nothing to help. Turns out, they made an input error. Mistakes happen, but their response is also unacceptable.
They are holding my money hostage until the funds clear in their accounts. Nevermind that my money is gone, disappeared overnight from my personal account. They won't return my own money, until their company is made whole first.
Criminals. Scum. Frauds. Words that come to mind with Cactus Credit. Find a better place to do business.
Edit: I see your reply. You're not actually trying to help here, this is purely for others to see and I want to call you out on it. I provided the last 4 digits of my account number, this is how we found your incompetence in the first place. You're making 0 effort to take ownership of your company's unprofessional blunder. I hope your crooked company goes belly up.

This company is a scam, they tell you all those wonderful things that you can cancel anytime , but once you try to cancel even in the 10 days timeframe 2 weeks before your first payment and you havent even talked to an advisor and they tell you they cant cancel unless you repay the full amount which is ridiculous!! they rush you into signing bunch of papers, i cancel the day after which is waaay in advance. i reported them, this is stupid. i just want to cancel everything, no payments no consult has been made!

I just had another unsuccessful phone call with another one of your rude pushy employees, I've been trying to cancel with your company for months now and cannot seem to get anything done
I've went through your many bad reviews and see I am not the only person dealing with this problem
I have informed my bank and am also proceeding with legal options

I believe this is a total scam and I am reporting it to my banks fraud department now! They are professionals so they know how to talk to you to manipulate you into doing stuff they want you to! I asked to cancel and they won’t return my money to me and say I have to pay the full fee before cancelling but if I can I will have them blocked and hopefully have my bank get the money back for me! Beware!!

If your a consumer reading this who paid for their service prior to any actual services being provided,and denied refund when the anticipated services are deemed unavailable to you for any reason,Im your answer. Consumer law doesnt provide clear penalty but it DOES however work effectively when quoted.knowledge is power!
1) contact cactus ,inform them that they cannot legally with hold any fees for services where services were never rendered as outlined in the same contract they use to justify their right to your money..they CAN however retain a maximum of 1.3% of their combined fee structure where a standard rate applies.
2)inform cactus that they have 30 calendar days from the date of verbal request to refund amounts in excess of 1.3% of their combined fee structure where standard rates are applied OR to present the burden of proof to show the fees were applied as agreed upon within the signed contract that permited them to obtain their fees and to retain those fees for the duration of the contract.
3)state your position by asserting that where contractual agreements exist,there can be no term that conficts with existing laws,legislation,human rights and constitutional rights
4) assert clear penalty where cactus fails to agknowledge the undue hardship their services caused as a result of their fee structure to be grounds for a class action level lawsuit and that fraud is a convictable offence under the criminal code of canada,after 30 days your bank will be notified of the conflict of interest in cactus fee structure as they sourced their fee payment from a listed debtor to be included under a consumer proposal.They arent scamming u they r scamming your bank.
5) after 30 days notify your bank that you wish to dispute a transaction based on services not rendered,present the contract and a declaration that you made a request for the service provider to refund amounts for services not rendered. the bank will take it from there.TD customers report that notifying their bank was their best option to get a refund.TD is far more equipped to take on a whole company than a single person buried in debt ever could.your bank is not your enemy.

They aquire profit off your debt upfront and in haste,essentially ADDING to your debt BEFORE the debt is even negotiated down with debtors. this isnt just false advertising it is a DIRECT CONFLICT OF INTEREST SECOND ONLY TO A WILLFULLY TARGETED ACT OF FRAUD AND PROFITEERING ON A LARGE SCALE.

If I could rate negatives I would. Poor customer service, pushy and rude. I have asked for a confirmation of cancellation email 3 times after a phone call that they stated they would send one. Now they are ghosting all my requests. When I initially set up I thought it was a good idea but instantly after felt something wasn’t quite right and I followed my gut instinct and cancelled the day after. I received a rude call stating I would be emailed a confirmation this was Oct 31st 2022 and I’ve still yet to receive one even after emailing 3 times.

Fraud & still kept taking $ from my account after I called to say stop. They lied about my guarantee for approval, refused to demonstrate any work they did as they said once I pay the $1000+ that they can’t tell me how they helped me. The trustee provided me with the w since that Cactus did nothing except forward a document to them by email. I asked repeatedly to have senior mgmt on my case but I was told 2 spereate times that my call would not go further. I was talked down to and also told they didn’t have any info on my file but when I reminded them they had every intersection at their fingertips. They took $700 of my money after I called to tell them to stop taking money from my account. DO NOT deal with this company— there is no mgmt to talk to and they will rip you off!!!

Fraud. These people took money out of my bank account without my consent. When they told me they required me to open accounts with Borrowel and Credit Karma and provide them with my username and password to complete the file for the loan I took the advice of my financial advisor and refused to finalize the application, and advised them of my decision twice, once by email and again over the phone, they went ahead and charged my bank account anyway. These people are con artists, do not sign up with them!

It is in-your-face obvious and plain as the light of day that your reply to my review on Trustpilot is a template that you send to hundreds of people every year, because that is how you get your business- you trick people into signing up and then tell them after the fact that you require our usernames and passwords to Borrowel and Credit Karma as credentials to complete the file and go forth with whatever you call this if not a consolidation loan. If it's not considered illegal by law as of yet, it is definitely morally illegal to ask someone for their username and password to other organizations because this gives you access to make financial decisions our behalf, and that includes applying for loans under our name. In other words you are tricking people into giving you permission to steal our identity.
When you advised me of these credentials I spoke with a financial advisor at my bank and asked him what he thought and he said there was definitely something wrong with you asking for our passwords, and he advised me not to go through with whatever it is you're doing. When I went back to find the original email that I sent to you, I found that it had mysteriously disappeared out of my sent folder, and in thinking back to the previous few days I remembered a suspicious email that I received from somebody posing as a courier company asking me to track a package that was coming to me, and when I clicked on the link I got a blank screen. To me this is no coincidence but a part of your game and business tactics, and I am quite confident to trust my instincts that this was actually you hacking into my email to delete the original email that I sent to you, because this isn't the first time this happened, isn't that right?
Having said all this, if you don't want further problems with me fighting this to the death writing horrible reviews for your business anywhere I can, I trust you will cancel anything I agreed to and you will delete my information from your system immediately, and I will never hear from you again. Karma can take care of you from here on in.
