My bank blocked their payments on the 4th month. They contacted me and I asked what benefits have I received since spending +$600 on their services. They didnt reply so I left it at that. How it works is they send dispute letters to transunion and equifax. It's a 30-45 day reply cycle and they charge you for sending letters that you can do on your own or pay someone $5-$50 on fiverr to do if you cant find a free template online. In my opinion it's a waste. If they charged $10 a month then fine but you're paying $120 a month for no dedicated account manager on your file with a lot of promises and no game plan. They just wait and send dispute letters that's it.

They will charge you for a service that is free from LEGITIMATE insolvency agencies. They will destroy your credit and will not respond to emails or calls unless you threaten legal action. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!

Positive reviews are fake.

They took $1049.00 for what at the time said was 10% of their estimation of my debt proposal or bankruptcy.

I did all the fact and info gathering for them. They took 4 months to secure a trustee, which I found out from M-A-N-Y people you can do yourself!!

THAT'S RIGHT!! YOU DO NOT NEED THEM!!!

The contract I entered
into with these bottom feeders stated in return for my payment THEY in turn would provide the following.

1. We will work CLOSELY with your TRUSTEE in the duration of your insolvency or bankruptcy.

LIES!!!

2 - Cactus Credit will provide credit repair and education etc...in financial matters, and assist in getting approved for an affordable vehicle loan and assist with other financial matters.

LIES!!!

3. - Cactus Credit will assist with budgeting and good credit practices, etc...with the view to rebuild your credit.

LIES!!!

I had one text in 9 months, and once discharged, they refused to acknowledge me until I demanded my money back, for breach of contract.

Alexander denied knowing I had to declare bankruptcy....
Once looked into he stated the trustee contacted him and confirmed I was in an insolvency, not bankruptcy!

Then wanted me to have them call him, which they refused, and they said if Alexander wanted he could call them.

He didn't...instead texted me back...
called me Julie, twice, said the $1049.00 is their admin fee. for the service they provided.
BS!!! For calling a trustee and sending 1 file via email??

Why then do the negative reviews have differing amounts in dispute?
Because again....LIES!!!

This is a scam! Dont trust them.

I did not apply for credit through them, somehow they got my contact information (assuming through other creditors) then texted and called me wanting me to apply. Obviously I declined, seemed like a scam. Consumer beware!

I URGE YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS IT IS A LAST RESORT FOR GETTING YOURSELF OUT OF DEBT.

I opted out of the process early on and they will not refund even a portion of the large fee I paid to them.

Although they do offer financial advice, they take your money up front before you even realize that the advice they are offering you is not your only option. After speaking with them and providing them with my situation and my financial information they offered me only 1 choice - Consumer Proposal. They told me that my credit rating would be affected a bit, but what they didn't tell me is how long and how bad it would be. They made it sound like this is my best option. They may have experience in facilitating Consumer Proposals and Bankruptcies, but the advice I got did not offer to steer me away from this option for my specific situation, which I now understand is not in my best interest. There are other options out there. In fact it seemed as though the whole process was rushed and they ask for payment for their services up front. Services, which include working with a licenced insolvency trustee to negotiate with your creditors. They take your money and hand you off to the trustee. In dealing with the trustee he asked if I had questions. One of the answers to one of the questions I asked surprised me as I wasn't told about this when dealing with the Cactus Credit reps. I told him I was not going to go any further with the process as I, now armed with this new information, no longer believed this to be my best option. Cactus Credit does not do a good job of explaining, in layman's terms, very clearly and explicitly, the real long term ramifications of going through with the process. I asked them if they could help me out to relieve debt with credit cards. The only option they gave me was a Consumer Proposal, which I found out later hurts you way more than they made it seem. Based on the info I received from Cactus Credit I was fairly certain, given their "expert" opinion, that this was the way to go. But after doing a little more digging and asking the right questions, I opted to back out of the process. Now...they only took my info and financial information, crunched some numbers quickly and came back with their expert opinion that a consumer proposal was the best option for me. That probably amounts to about 2 hours of work for one person...maximum, and then shunt me to the trustee, who I must say sounded much more professional and knowledgable. They charged me $1500 for this minimal amount of work and to be pushed to a trustee. I asked to be reimbursed at least most of this fee as, 1) the proposed course of action was not carried out, hence the reason I gave them my money. 2) the amount of work actually conducted was simple and amounted to very little time. 3) I factored in that they also have to pay for the time of the trustee with whom they work which was, again, very short (probably only an hour or two to prep the documents and I had a 10 minute conversation with him).
Now I am fighting to get back at least two thirds of my money which I paid them for services NOT FULLY RENDERED. It stands to reason that I should get a good portion of my paid fees refunded.

Again, it all felt rushed. They don't provide you with enough information to make a proper decision on whether this is the best option for you. They suggest to you to make the decision "they" decided on based on "their" calculations. And if you choose to back out during the process, which is the right of everyone, they don't want to give you back even a portion of the large fees you paid them.

This is tantamount to theft and they are protected by the documents that they quickly make you sign. Which is why they don't want to give you back your money. They are morally bankrupt as a company and are only interested in making profit as fast as possible. Do not believe for a second that they have your best interest at heart. This is a job for them and a method of making money. If you aren't happy with this process and opt out early on, hey.. at least they made their money! After all you went to them to help get you out of debt, and after realizing there are other options, they are going to keep your money for almost no work and make your debt load even larger. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?

Cactus Credit should be ashamed of themselves!

Aweful company aweful service. Told me they would take a payment out on February like I asked and took it out a month early. I made it very clear I want that payment taken out in Feb and they refuse to refund me . Iam without work and tried to pay a bill and couldn't because they failed to listen. The manager or whoever Adam is, is absolutely ignorant and should be fired.

This a scam.. signed contract on a promise to clear my credit bureau and 10 month after nothing has been resolved. They took money with no real action. They have a bad review with BBB.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This company is a total scam.
Told me my credit would take a SMALL hit, it literally dropped to half!
Told me it wasn’t a bankruptcy and wouldn’t be treated as such, when in fact it actually is!!
Had to close all my bank accounts I’ve had since childhood and cancel my credit cards
Made me apply for loans, credit cards, reducing my score even more!
And to this day my score is continuously dropping! And they are doing NOTHING about it!
I cannot get approved for anything, forget about a mortgage! And will take probably 10 years to recover from this

DO NOT DO IT. DONT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY. THIS HAS BEEN MY BIGGEST REGRET IN LIFE.

This is a scam company. They call you out of nowhere claiming you have inquired to improve your score. They are rude, fraudulent and won't stop calling you. The good reviews are all fake.

I wish i could give negative rating, worst company ever i have ever dealt with, before you sign up for their program they will call you 3-4 times a day and once you have signed up, forget about everything, my score went down after i signed up with this company, their tone changes once you have signed up for the program, total waste of money, worst customer service ever, full of crap, nothing else.

I spent hundreds and nothing changed. Do not recommend.

They supposed to work on my credit and chage me a lot but after 7 months nothing happened

Better educate yourself and fix your credit yourself.

If you are searching for the best credit repair company with folks that are always wonderful to talk to, look no further. I had an Awesome experience with Cactus Credit. Once my credit issues were solved, I was able to finance my house.

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would be giving them that. Don't trust them...they lie, don't do a thing to help your credit and just take your money. They employ a large amount of immigrants, whom I'm sure are also not legitimate, and they promise you things they cannot deliver. If you have self respect, pass by these scammers. Otherwise, you will end up like my brother...broke, nothing changed within your credit profile and fighting to get your money back. They think they are slick...but they will get what's coming to them.
