The worst radio station ever.. Cheapest commercial music ever along with stupid jokes and boring adverts make this station a tiring and sh***y experience.

Painful to sit listening to nowadays
Painful to sit listening to nowadays, used to be alright but its slowly got worse and worse to the point of it being 99.9% ads and when they do actually stop talking and play music its the same songs..coming home on motorway i must of heard same three songs about 10 times and same adverts 500 times.
Funny to see signs like being on phone while driving kills bla bla yet you've got radio stations asking you to ring up while driving to take part in questions and win money etc.
On every radio stations reviews all you see is people moaning about not winning like 🤣do you know how many people enter? oh i don't win on capital or heart so must be rigged! like saying oh i put lottery on every week but don't win anything must be RIGGED! its called being one in millions....so not marking them down for that but maybe it is rigged who knows but entering like you actually have a good chance/deserve to win is the most dumb thing i have seen reviewed.

Not as good as it once was
Was once a decent radio station, but it seems to be going downhill. The music played is often new releases and anything in the charts, with the occasional throwback sessions where they play hit music from the late 2000's to the present.
Nowadays the ads are at their worst, most of them cause drivers to lose it, behind the wheel, causing accidents. They also encourage drivers to use their phone more as well.
Competitions, such as Cash Call involve listeners by making them wait until a certain artist and song plays, and the longer people stick around the more money you'd have a chance to win. This means, soon as the song plays, a person who is listening to the station has to text a word or phrase to this phone number, before the song ends, otherwise they probably won't be entered but may still be charged. After the news/ads, they will drone on about this competition for ages, they will continue to repeat themselves by enthusiastically gloating about the prize someone could win. Also the presenter will use the voice of a previous winner to persuade others to enter, and will not play a song until satisfied that everyone's heard how the competition works.
I only listen to this station while a good song is playing, and then immediately switch it over so I don't have to listen to any Capital FM nonsense.
