Cap as helped me when I was really in a black hole and couldn't get out I felt depressed and my anxiety went up through the roof. I couldn't of done it get out of debt without Christians Against poverty they was with me and supported me through it all I'm debt free now 🙏🥰

Really good service. Sam was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. The whole process was really smooth. Was also invited to some events at the church of St. Peter’s Halliwell with cap. All a really good experience.

My disabled mother contacted CAP to get her finances in order. CAP told her to stop paying all of her bills so they could apply for a DRO. They lied and said it was approved, then days later they told us it was denied. Only option was bankruptcy by then. My Mum wasn't in a bankruptcy position before they told her to stop paying her bills. Their advice has put her in a far worse position. CAP never attempted to negotiate with the creditors to reduce the debt which is very odd. When we took over, we managed to get most of the debts reduced.
I definitely would never recommend CAP.
The staff are unqualified.
The advice is terrible.
Now they have the gall to send her fundraising letters. Absolute joke. Definitely shouldn't be a charity.

CAP are a very caring efficient and helpful team. I couldn't have got out of debt without them.

Shocking ruthlessness

They allegedly came to promulgate Christian values and declared the will of helping

Unfortunately, they have insulted all Christian values and acted in contempt of what Christianity should associate.

They lied, they didn't care, they were judgemental.

They offered a bag of shopping. I said thank you. Then one of them bluntly went to inspect my kitchen as if he was a customs and border protection officer who was searching a lorry upon crossing to the UK, by opening my cabinet, peaking on nitty gritty, and snooping into everywhere. What he has found was one third of an old stale bread green underneath. He then said , oh you have plenty of food, you have a nice loaf. You actually need no food whatsoever then.

My leg was broken. I couldn't walk. The other guy offered a 5 for the bus ticket for me to get to hospital.

Unfortunately, he never gave it and it was a lie.

When asked, he found excuses and still gave nothing regardless of having promised to.

I felt so gobsmacked. So humiliated. So derogated.

I want to warn people that these so called Christians have nothing in common with Christianity and they won't care or never will they help you.

Avoid like a plague.

Extremely bad, demeaning experience.

I am gutted for how callous they were

From being stressed out not knowing where to turn I came across cap through a Web search and thought I'd give them a go,from the first meeting with Janet and Steve to the the money budget training with Andrew I can't thank them enough, it did take a while to go through as there is alot of people in the same place as me in the country but I'm dept free with alot of worry of my shoulders thanks do all the great team at capuk.org

I have just completed my Cap Plan, which started in Mar 2021. Every step of the way I have been supported by warm welcoming staff, who listen to everything you have to say, they also focus on making the payments suit your needs, and also teach you how to look after your money better. Any time a problem came up with one of the debters I only had to forward the email or text to Cap and they would deal with it. Everyone I hve dealt with from Cap are so caring and really support you with your journey. They also regularly congratulate you when you continue making your payments, and also at the end of your journey have sent a lovely card about starting my new Journey Debt Free. God Bless CAP

Was advised to contact this organisation , have received a letter saying they are not in a position to help ! Just wondering if they receive funding but do not do anything ?

It was slow at times but overall I thought CAP were fabulous and I was able to sleep for the first time in 6 months. Professional, personal and honest.

Easy, straightforward, literally held my hand through the process.

I couldn’t thank CAP enough for there help over the last couple of years helping me becoming debt free, knowing my mental state wasn’t in a good place and getting myself into thousands of pounds of debt was the hardest thing to deal with , but this week receiving the best news anyone could get to be told I am now debt free is such a weight off my shoulders. CAP were so understanding and supportive you could ask the silly questions and still get the best help with absolutely no criticism, I would 1000% recommend CAP to anyone who is struggling with debt. CAP has truly giving me a fresh start in my future.
Jill my CAP coach was there every step of the way I could texted Jill and she was either at the door or the phone she really was a credit to the CAP team.

A passing conversation with Mark about CAP (High Peak) has led to me being debt free! I wasn't aware of CAP or the service they offered before but learnt all about them when I saw Mark at my workplace.
From start to finish the process was easy, stress free and personalised. All meetings are held in a way that suits you and it's like having a friend round for a coffee, that's how at ease you are with it all.
Mark was very knowledgeable throughout. It has been a fast process too.
Would highly recommend to anyone thinking all hope is lost.

Today was the first time I opened my letters in three years.
The debts were insurmountable and thanks to CAP they’re all gone and not something I have to worry about or feel like I’m drowning in anymore.

Hi. My experience with these people was negative. The person they assigned to me had very little empathy or understanding of my situation. My mental health not good from all this and this guy seemed more concerned about his own problems than mine. I'm so glad my God has provided another avenue for me to receive a genuine assistance. I thoroughly do not recommend the CAPS organisation as they didn't treat me well or even respect or try to understand my situation at the moment. Thanks for letting me share. God bless you all

I registered with CAP in October of this year . Received a food voucher for Tescos. But I did pull away from CAP thinking I could manage my finances. I was wrong and re registered but sadly not entitled to a food voucher which I desperately need.

I've been with cap at the high peak debt centre last year and got my debts sorted out and written off through a DRO I would recommend high peak debt centre cap for a great job thank you

Cap have helped me with a debt relief order and I can honestly sayirs changed my life and I wouldn't have done it without them

My wife and I had been struggling on the best way to get rid of our debts, and it was like a God send, when we were referred to a wonderful lady called Gail, who works as a volunteer for CAP. She carefully spent time with us and listened to what we have to say. She then noted down the important parts and helped us see the bigger picture, and understand our options. Once we knew what we were doing, she connected us to her colleagues, and everything wad like a breath of fresh air. CAP are brilliant, empathetic and hard working
Unlike most organisations, thru actually care and really want to help. If I could ud give them 10 stars!
