Unable to get scaffolding removed

Unable to get scaffolding removed. Despite repeated requests, and nearly 5 weeks since the completion of the PV installation, we still have scaffolding on our property. The scaffolding is obstructing access to our back garden. The Customer Acceptance Form we signed states “Scaffolding will remain up for a week after installation to ensure the system is working as intended” but this period has been far exceeded which has been wholly inconvenient and detrimental to my wife and I (both in our 80s). No response to emails and attempts to phone unanswered.

Liam and Lee

Liam and Lee, sparky and roofer, done a marvelous job.Efficient, Professional and all round nice guys. They explained everything in layman's terms making it easy to understand how PV system works and even set up the app on my wifes phone, cleaning up after the works were complete (my wife was impressed). A brilliant team

I really feel moved to write a very satisfied review for Carbon Rewind.
I have been delighted with the service that I have received. It’s been so reassuring to have the kind Grace on the end of the phone or email when I was uncertain or needed to organise anything. Her thoughtful reassurance was much appreciated.
Austin (Electrician) and Declan (Solar panel fitter) were professional, personable, efficient and really agreeable people to have in my home, Cory too. Richard (who delivered the materials) was also extremely cheerful, friendly and accommodating. I’m also grateful to Ryan who linked it all together when the sun came out!
Having been a little wary at the beginning of this process, completed in November, I can only recommend the team wholeheartedly.

Heating engineers

Graig and Luke came to fit my heat source pump and all the radiators to go with it. They were polite, respectful and such hard workers, clearing up after themselves every day. It was a lot of work for them but made it seem easy with as little disruption to us as possible. I'd recommend these people any time.

Worst thing to ever have

Not only did I have a bad experience with the first two fitters making my life miserable. I got two new ones I can’t praise enough.. but since having this horrendous heating I’ve had no hot water for seven weeks and now had no heating since Friday gets a repair run out yesterday saying he fixed it to be left all night freezing again. To be told on calling them again this morning to be towed, I have to wait another 24 hours in this freezing house. I’m a disabled lady who needs heat.
I wouldn’t recommend this heating ever .

From start to finish you’ve been helpful, informative and an absolute pleasure to deal and communicate with. My mother has dementia and all workman ie Cory and Austin and the heater fitters (sorry can’t remember their names) have been understanding and patient with my mother ( very much appreciated). Excellent service by Dale, Ron and the electrician who all worked really well together making the whole service streamlined and efficient. What a great team. They explained everything at every stage, good health and safety measues in place including hazard signs. Very Impressed. They were helpful, clean and very tidy, meticulous with their clean up. Storage Heaters Luke Cooper

I was nervous as I didn't want truncking round the room etc but it was done so neatly that you really didn't mind, he also cleaned up after him and actually brought his own hoover. Over nine months later still rewinding the experience

Our process has been a difficult and loooong one. The first survey in 2023/2024 was botched and they didn't tell us whist we patiently waited for the 'upto 12 weeks for grant approval' so i chased them for an answer after then and that is how i found out! Not good. Excuses followed. Anyway the next house survey was good and the process seemed to move along quickly but the first insulation and heating installation was a mixed bag with general poor communication and planning between workers and departments. The electrician workers did a good job under time pressure anyway. Then Ram and his brother did a fantastic job (on time) with flat roof insulation, no complaints and polite hard workers. Bead insulation (delayed) was a bit of a joke, beads still everywhere to this day and lots of back and forth with photos taken/not taken e.t.c. then the scaffold team were super efficient which was about a month ago now as the office ordered the wrong rails and clips for our roof and i had to chase that to resolve it, otherwise i was met with 'person will call you back' and usually didn't! Roofers were good despite having to drive 4 hours to get here multiple times due to office cock-ups, so not very carbon friendly! Now waiting to hear back from lead person as our inverter has stopped working a week in. Waiting for a response, not confident to get one so will probably have to call them as usual. So overall the work was carried out to reasonable standards if and when you can get hold of the 'right' person in charge of your case to get the workers here but from our experience expect to constantly have to call and chase the office as communication and updates to customers seem to be pretty poor, unfortunately. Anyway 10 months into the process and we hope to be done soon! Communication is key here.

EXCEPTIONAL

From start to finish Carbon Rewind have provided a 1st Class Service.
At every stage we had all of our options clearly explained which enabled us to make informed decisions. They treated our home with respect & encouraged us to ask any questions that we might have.
David the Surveyor took us through every option available to us & encouraged us to ask questions whilst explaining the positives & negatives of each option.
Adam & his team fitted the Air Source Heat Pump & associated plumbing ensuring that they caused minimum disruption at all times. They worked hard to ensure that the job was done as quickly & as professionally as possible.
John & Bruce the Electricians carried out their part of the process in a friendly & efficient manner. Again they talked us through what they were doing & encouraged questions.
When Lewis arrived to install the PIV work was already in full flow with the fitting of the ASHP & plumbing. He worked around Adam & his team & fitted the PIV very quickly without causing any disruption.
The Solar Panels, Loft Insulation & Trickle Vents were fitted by Cory. He worked very quickly & left everything clean & tidy.
Jim the Heating Engineer Commissioned the System. He took the time & trouble to ensure that we understood the system & how to operate the controls.
The day following the installation of the ASHP all of the rubbish that had been generated by the installation was removed. Followed quickly by he delivery of the Solar Panels & associated equipment. Danny & Frankie ensured that everything was left clean, neat & tidy.
Alison is a mine of information, nothing is too much trouble for her. She is always bright, cheerful & exceptionally helpful. She ALWAYS returns phone calls & replies to emails. So a big THANK YOU
Lastly a very genuine Thank You to Andrew (Director) who called a couple of times to ensure that we were happy with everything & make sure that we had no queries.
At all stages the work carried out by the personnel from Carbon Rewind has been very professional & every one involved has been hard working & polite. They have treated our home with care & respect.
We would recommend Carbon Rewind to anyone who is considering having this type of work carried out. The standard of service & workmanship is second to none.
