I received a PCN…

I made an appeal giving a detailed account of relevant circumstances. Carflow responded with consideration and understanding informing me that no further action would be taken. They demonstrated a willingness to listen to reasonable explanation and acted promptly to close the case. I was very grateful.

I appealed against parking charges

I appealed against parking charges, I put my case forward, offering the facts and an explanation as to why I was appealing, I did so by e-mail and followed the guidelines offered. My e-mail was answered quickly, and a clear answer given.

Avoid at all costs!! I paid the fine ON TIME - and still getting threatening final reminder letters!!

I received a fine of £100, with the option to pay £60 if paid before a certain time - that being 17-Oct-25. I made the £60 payment on 13-Oct-25 - of which I have proof of payment by bank statement, and a screenshot of payment from their online payment page.

Regardless of this, I have still received two Parking Charge Notice Reminder Letters, the latest being posted on the 24-Oct-25, this is 11 days after I made payment!!! The letter is threatening debt recovery or court action!!! This is unacceptable!

Firstly, there is no number to call for customer service or complaints, it is impossible to speak to an actual human.

Secondly, why are you not on top of your administration and sending out threatening letters, 11 days after the payment was made?

This smacks of incompetence - and I will be seeking legal advice and representation if you threaten me any further, and do not acknowledge in writing receipt of payment, and a failure on your part to rectify your poor administration and record keeping.

Avoid this company at all costs!!!

Positive Resolution

I contacted Carlow having received a PCN for overstaying at one of their patrolled car parks without paying the required fee.
I politely explained in detail the reason for the oversight and requested they reconsider my PCN.
As a gesture of goodwill they agreed to waiver the penalty on this occasion.
They also attached numerous documents explaining the Charging policy and where the signs and pay machines are located for future reference.

Understand company

I have a chronic illness and need to be assisted and take my time with shopping. I ran over my time slot what shopping due to my illness a d was issued 2 fines. I contacted the company to explain the issue I have and the fines were wiped. They did take their time to get back to me but however, they were understanding.

Fair and helpful staff

I accidentally overstayed at one of the Carflow car park locations, I received a PCN in the post, but was away for 2 weeks when it arrived. After speaking with the carflows team they understood my predicament. Kind and fair handling of what could have been a very stressful situation for me. Thanks Carflow

They are scammers and not to be…

They are scammers and not to be trusted. Please avoid them as they penalise you unfairly. Their parking machine are faulty and enter incorrect number plates and even when you appeal on this basis they decline it. As yet not provided me evidence that their machines are serviced and certified and in working order.

After reviewing your case, we confirmed that payment was made for a different vehicle registration and not for your own vehicle. On the same day, over 200 other payments were processed correctly, confirming it was operating as intended.

We offered a reduced settlement of £20 in line with the private parking industry’s Code of Practice for keying errors. You also had the option to appeal independently to POPLA, which reviews cases impartially.

Carflow takes fairness and transparency very seriously, and we encourage any motorist who believes an error has occurred to follow the formal appeal routes available.

They were understanding of my situation and took the time to handle my request in a fair and considerate way. It was refreshing to deal with a company that actually listens and treats customers with empathy and respect.

Harsh but fair

This company is harsh but fair. Their T&Cs are clearly laid out but there is human intervention possible when the automatic processes are "cold" and naturally devoid of understanding the whole situation.

Otherwise all good

I appreciate that the fine has been cleared but I received another today and it’s gone up by £20 as not been paid on time. Please advise Carflow of the decision you made. It’s a bit unsettling as it’s the third letter from them.

Equitable outcome.

My wife and I had a genuine reason for overstaying in the car park.
We were given the opportunity to appeal the charge.
We were listened to and the company dealt with the appeal in a fair minded way.

Successfull Appeal

Following a parking ticket appeal I expected a standard response with no consideration for the details laid out in my appeal. To my surprise they not only cancelled the fine but also sent a lovely letter full of empathy. Well done Carflow.

Great communication

I stopped at a car park managed by Carflow for less than 12 minutes and should have paid under £1 for parking, but I didn’t have the app and wasn’t confident sorting it on the spot. I drove away, and a few days later I was shocked to get a £100 fine.

I emailed the office straight away, and they replied very quickly and cancelled the notice. The process was simple and respectful. I really appreciate their understanding. Thank you so much!

Hi, got a ticket while delivering outside catering to the site. I went through the appeals process which was easy and provided the evidence needed.
My ticket was cancelled within 24 hours.
