CLL recently completed our loft conversion and we are delighted with the result. A dark loft filled with years worth of 'stuff' has been transformed into a fantastic space with a fab view. The team are so efficient and every day that they were on site (which at times included weekends) was maximised to the full. They started early, were no bother and made efforts to come before we went to work so we could discuss whatever was necessary. Our loft was complete within 8 weeks and that included updating the staircase throughout the house and fitting extra fire doors.

I found the transformation amazing to see each day and was always surprised by the speed of the progress (quality was not compromised). Whenever there were snags or things to be addressed, our project manager was very responsive and quick to sort it out. The electricians, plumber, plasterers as well as the main team were fantastic and we got what we wanted, on time and for a good price. A big thanks to all who were involved - especially Huw for the first stage of the process in helping us visualise the potential, Renatas, Michael and his team.

Can highly recommend Central London Lofts. Dormer completed in under 8 weeks to a very high spec. Considerate, efficient and hard working team with great attention to detail. Competitive price and responsive customer service. Delighted!

We were very happy with Central London Lofts and are pleased with the additional space we now have in the house.

The builders and tradesmen (plumber, electrician, carpenter) were all great - high quality work and finish. For example, the carpenter made the stairway on site and a superb finish.

Any issues or problems were dealt with quickly and without fuss by builders and Project Manager.

I would be happy to recommend the company to others.

I just had a loft conversion done by Central London Lofts in South London.
The main construction work was 5 weeks from start to finish. Their teams were professional, hard working, responsible and helpful, starting every day before 8am and often worked until late to get the work done.

Special thanks to lead builder Misha, Mat, the electrical and plumbing teams. The quality of the work were excellent, approved by building control first time. And to Mr. Barry the contacts manager worked hard to keep all on track. When there was a problem was at the end of the phone but 9 times out of ten came straight over. He has a good mind for the building works and lots of experience.

Any extra work ie. the roof was agreed before work started and price given was within the going rate.

The small things also helped making it a good experience, including the plumber who took time out to run me to the shop to get an extra part to complete a job and the plasterers who took time to clean up at the end of each day.

I am very happy with the overall design, it's spacious and balanced. The roof and the gable wall are also very beautiful! Many thanks to everyone for their hard work!

We found Renatas and his team to be uniformly very helpful, and highly competent throughout all the stages of this project which included building a Hip to Gable Loft conversion, changing the roof tiles and replacing our existing boiler.. They oversaw the project from design & planning through to completion and snagging in a professional and seamless manner, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to other potential customers.

Reliable, helpful and professional, were what we got from CLL's service.
Renatas, the project manager, was always there to help. We had some problem with the neighbour at the beginning about scaffolding, and it was him who solved the problem and made the progress smooth and on time.
Alex, the builders, were efficient;
Andrew, the carpenter, did nice and clean job.
I remember we had a few candidates before everything started, but now I have to say I have no regret to choose CLL.

I first met Renatas after speaking to him for a couple of times over phone regarding the loft conversion in my property. He is really very polite and friendly to deal with. Well, I should say my decision to choose CLL is indeed a good one, as the loft room has given me enough space to set up an office for my business. Finished with a black tone, it is just what I wanted. Thank you team CLL for this and I will never hesitate to refer you guys to my friends and family.

Central London Lofts completed our loft conversion this summer. We dealt with Huw pre-contract, who was very good and always at hand to answer our questions - particularly in light of numerous additional queries from our mortgage provider in relation to the proposed works.

Once the works were underway, our main builder was Alex who worked incredibly hard throughout the entire build. He was polite and took care to keep the house as clean and tidy as reasonably possible. There were "hiccups" but most problems were attended to promptly. Some of these incidents could have been avoided in the first place, which would have made for less stress but the important thing is that they were identified and resolved as soon as possible. Other tradesmen (electricians, plasterers etc) were also polite and professional but not always as tidy!

Our Project Manager was Renatas who did his best to respond to the constant texts and WhatsApp messages from me. He was polite and professional at all times and keen to ensure we were as happy as possible. Overall, I think we met him once every fortnight or so but we communicated most of the time through WhatsApp or phone so were always in touch.

Overall, we are happy with the works - we have a slightly squeaky floorboard at one end of our rooms but nothing major. Otherwise, everything else seems OK thus far. This said, our loft only recently completed so the true test of quality / workmanship will be how it stands up over time particularly as we approach the cold and wet winter months.

As at today, I would recommend Central London Lofts but people considering a loft conversion regardless of who they appoint must be aware that works of this nature will inevitably throw challenges at you and it requires more time and patience than you might initially expect. Unless you are very brave, I think a loft conversion requires a significant amount of your own time to help project manage and ensure you get the result that you want.

My house was very rundown and this was desperately needed

I have nothing but praise for all the team that have done such a good job meeting thevtime schedule and most importantly the budget !!

I am considering buying a new property later in the year to put a loft extension on and if I do I will definitely be getting central London to do it for me

Central London are a big company but Renatas always made the time to answer my calls and questions and reassure me and my partner

Pretty terrible experience with these guys. Our project manager was awful, we had pretty much everything go wrong that could go wrong. Now almost a year on and still suffering leaks. Also they put in a new boiler for us but the condensation pipe is over a gas line and our boiler service person has advised that it will corrode the gas pipe and is extremely dangerous. We have been going around in circles with their support team for months trying to get everything resolve. They just pop a bit of cement on the roof every time they come by for the leaks which seems to have little to no impact.

After posting this review I've received an email from the director of the company.

"Please remove review otherwise I will cancel your warranty."

This is the service you can expect.

Central London Lofts has just finished my new loft. Renatas and the team have beaten my expectations and have smashed it. Renatas always answered my emails and phone calls. The builders were very polite and clean, leaving the house immaculate . I am very surprised as they said it would take 10 weeks but completed it by 8 weeks. I would definitely recommend Central London Lofts to family and friends. Thank you!

Had this review been written during the first couple of weeks of the project it would have been overwhelmingly positive. However, in the end our experience was a rather mixed one.

We had a very good team of builders onsite - once they started, they were courteous, considerate and efficient. Things progressed much more quickly than we expected.

However I think the speed at which the project was moving meant (in hindsight) that details I would rather have had talked over were assumed and decided for us. For example, the finish on the loft from the outside (white facias + tiling that isn't what we originally asked for, and doesn't quite blend into the existing surround) is really not what I wanted but there simply wasn't an opportunity to discuss this with the PM.

While most of the contracted tradesmen were very good (especially the electrician, John) we had significant problems with the plumber (already noted to Renatas).

In the end the work was completed to a satisfactory standard, but not without considerable effort on my part to ensure that all the loose ends had been tied up, after CLL experienced staff related problems (which we were not made aware of but had to chase to find out about when the project seemed to stall).

Overall, I'd recommend (and am aware that my recommendation has already helped bring in more custom!) but would say keep communicating and remain vigilant about anything that is important to you.

I would recommend that you don't hire an architect before calling Central London Loft. Huw is an excellent salesman with an exceptional knowledge of building regulations that will help you maximise the space in your loft; they will provide the drawings, I mean the architect. I regret paying the architect before Huw visited my house. The project manager (Gee)is a good listener and would consult with you all the time ,the builders( John, Mark and Alex) were very hard-working , polite and most of all tidy. Within 6 weeks my loft was done. The space is excellent. THANK YOU to you all and Thank you Central London Loft

Dormer Loft conversion completed by Central London Loft.

The experience with this company from start to completion was excellent and very professional, the project manager Barry and his team were very helpful and trustworthy. We had to move out for two weeks, whilst workmen lowered ceiling. They even collected deliveries for us. Barry kept us updated and ensured work was on schedule, any issues arising was dealt with speedily by Barry.
The loft was completed ahead of time.
Everything went smoothly.
I am very happy with my new loft space. I would highly recommend CLL and their team of workers, very polite and hardworking. Very good company, administration staff were always available to assist if needed.

We used Central London Lofts for our loft conversion and to refit our bathroom. We got quotes from 10 other builders before starting and while not the very cheapest Central London Lofts gave a very reasonable quote. I was impressed by their professionalism, the clarity around what was included and how the work would progress and therefore trusted them. I was not let down. I had Barry assigned as our project manger who was ace. He was very contactable, made regular visits and always quick to respond. There were some issues along the way, as you would expect from any project, and I was happy with how Barry dealt with them, always ensuring that we would get to the final look and feel we wanted. Overall we now have a wonderful loft room and two fantastic bathrooms. Thank you Central London Lofts!

We used Central London lofts and on the whole were very happy with them. The good points:
- had the same team throughout so we had consistency and commitment to doing a good quality job. The team we had were proactive in raising/ discussing problems and didn't make any 'silly' mistakes as a consequence.
- they were respectful of our space, very hard working and reliable
- responsive when it came to fixing problems (that of course inevitably arise during any building project) and although there were extras (you should budget 15% contingency) they also didn't charge for small extras/ changes
- they wanted us to be happy and to have a great loft
- went the extra mile - for example we really wanted some complicated fret work reproduced on the new stair case and although they couldn't promise it they did in the end get it sorted

Things to watch out for:
- with benefit of hindsight i would have got our own architect and plans drawn up. I wasn't impressed with their architect who didn't seem to provide any value added, was extremely difficult to communicate with and it turned out didn't get the drawings right; and some of the problems we had getting planning application through could have been resolved by using someone more professional and with more local knowledge.
- one of the reasons our loft went well was because, due to my husband and my work pattern, we were at home nearly all the time. This meant that we could keep a close eye on things and they could ask questions/ resolve problems on the spot. I'd recommend planning time in to have these daily conversations if possible
- there were some issues with tiling and plumbing which weren't as high quality as I'd have expected. But having said that they were dealt with in the right way
- i think that we were more realistic about timings than the project manager was, so when things took longer we weren't surprised or too annoyed (you need to accept its a 3-4 month process)
- Its good to go over the details of the project even if you worry that you are coming across like a bit of a control freak: if you communicate regularly, ask questions and don't assume anything you can head problems off before they happen. For example we had assumed that they would use black fascias but they used white ones (although they did replace them for free).
- Talk about the schedule of payment right at the beginning and if you are unhappy negotiate something different. The payment schedule doesn't actually align with the amount of time the loft takes so we ended up feeling like we were paying out a lot disproportionately to how much work still had to be completed. This made us nervous, although in the end they did an excellent job and there was in fact very little snagging.

Having had different builders over the years, i'd say that we had a very good experience with Central London Lofts (let's face it, living through building work is never going to be pleasant); We love our new loft and its a real addition to our home. So happy to recommend them.

I recently underwent a loft conversion with Central London Lofts and have decided to give it 5 stars because I've ended up with a beautiful big bedroom and extra bathroom. The project took longer than I expected and went a bit over budget, but it seems this is pretty standard for building work! Ali was our project manager and at every turn he did his utmost to get things just right, and promptly fix any problems that came up.

I have had a great experience with Central London Lofts. From the very start, Huw took the time to understand what I wanted out of the project and helped me think through pros and cons of various options. A short time after, the implementation started. At that point, I was introduced to Ali, the project manager in charge of coordinating the work on my property.
I have no words to thank Ali for all the amazing work he put in and all the time he spent trying to understand my needs, finding solutions and managing a large team in such a way that I could go to bed at night without needing to worry about anything.
I now have a beautiful home thanks to Ali and the rest of the team at Central London Lofts! I couldn't be happier!!
