Our experience with Cherwell Windows was extremely disappointing, particularly given the cost of the project.

The installation was plagued by significant delays well beyond the timescales originally discussed. We experienced repeated setbacks due to faulty products that had to be remanufactured, multiple installation visits and months of unnecessary disruption.

There were also survey and measurement issues that contributed to further delays, despite relying on Cherwell's professional expertise to carry out the technical survey and manufacture bespoke products accurately.

Although the installation has now been completed, the overall experience fell well below what we expected from a specialist company.

What has been most disappointing is the way our concerns have been handled. After setting out our complaint and requesting a modest reduction in the final balance to reflect the poor service received, our request was rejected outright.

Cherwell has since advised that it will not release our guarantee documentation, aftercare support or service assistance while the disputed balance remains unpaid, and has instead threatened debt recovery. As homeowners, we find this approach deeply disappointing, particularly given the issues experienced throughout the project.

Based on our experience, I would not choose Cherwell Windows again. I would encourage anyone considering this company to ask detailed questions about lead times, project management, how manufacturing issues are handled, and what level of support they can expect if things do not go according to plan.

We would not recommend using Cherwell Windows. They provided and installed four Internorm windows - we are delighted with the windows. But Cherwell Windows were difficult to work with:
- all their quotes were technically detailed, but gave a single summary monetary estimate. We were never able to get a detailed breakdown of costs to help guide our decisions;
- there were several attempts to justify higher costs, all incorrect or fictitious, for instance that trickle vents were extra, despite them being a legal requirement;
- they were extremely slow: the deposit was paid in September, but Cherwell Windows did not finish the installation until mid-May;
- we never got design advice, despite two personnel visiting the house to measure. As a result, two of the windows 'bump' into each other, limiting our ability to open them.
The whole experience was both unpleasant and unsatisfactory. We would advise you to find an alternative supplier of Internorm windows.

Can't fault CW. We were replacing a 44yr old internal sliding patio door that divided the lounge from the porch. The whole experience was seamless. Steve opened the showroom on a Saturday for us to view the various systems which was useful. The QFort system was selected. The time scale indicated was 10 weeks but installation came in earlier which was completed in 6 hours. Great job Cherwell.

Attention to every detail of our choice and of our order.

Expert and efficient fitters delivered and fitted our door.
Even vacuumed very particularly when finished!

EVOLUTION STORM FRENCH DOORS
Excellent quality product and relatively customisable to match the adjacent windows. They were quite pricey but rock solid. You do get what you pay for.
The office team were very efficient and the paperwork spot-on. The installation team were really efficient and left the room spotlessly clean afterwards.

I needed a new door and side-panel to replace the draughty 40 year old one we had. Cherwell Windows were helpful in setting out the options and in selecting a door that would - maybe not last 40 years - but probably see me out! Communication was efficient and the fitting team arrived at the agreed time and - to my relief - obviously knew what they were doing. The door was well fitted with minimal damage to existing surrounds. It looks good and works perfectly. The fitting team also offered useful advice and cleaned up well before departing. The guarantee arrived a week or so after. So - basically they did what they said they would do: something I know one should regard as normal but sadly all too often isn't! Obviously the quality of their ongoing accountability is something that I cannot comment upon having only had the door a few months.

They were on it. Great Salesman who was very knowledgable. The product is high quality and looks great and the back office team are delightful to deal with. Very happy. Just saving up for more now!

We’ve had multiple windows fitted by Cherwell Windows over the years and have always been very happy. The customer service team has been consistently helpful and professional, and the fitters were excellent. They worked efficiently, were very professional throughout, and always left the house clean and tidy after each installation.

I had my old, draughty front door replaced by a Solidor version from Cherwell last year and it has made a huge difference to the temperature of the hallway, it looks smart and is easy to lock, unlike the original which had bolts and several 'inherited' locks with too many keys to mention. Now I just have one key and I can't lock myself out - it's such an upgrade and although quite expensive, the installation was done professionally and quickly with very little mess so I would definitely recommend Cherwell.

A year ago, we had a complete set of Cherwell doors, windows and bifold doors for our bungalow. Cherwell provided excellent service throughout the process from helpful advice and planning through to the post installation check. The windows and doors look perfect and have greatly enhanced the appearance and cosiness of our home - thank you Cherwell.

We have used Cherwell to supply all the fenestration in our new build project. Everyone we dealt with has been very professional and courteous. We were extremely lucky to have Harry as our main point of contact. Our install was not straight-forward and he helped us through every step of the way, patiently answering all our questions and supporting us right up until the very end of the installation. Service and commitment which was above and beyond! I'm very pleased we chose Cherwell and have no hesitation in recommending them.  

We have recently had 7 windows from Cherwell and we are delighted with the outcome. The quality of the windows are excellent and we are really pleased with the installation. The team themselves were very helpful too, both at the showroom, in email correspondence and the guys who fitted the windows. We will definitely use again for further window and door replacements and would definitely recommend to others.

CW have replaced our old French patio doors, removed waist high conservatory type wall and replaced with Origin French doors and floor to ceiling windows. Not the cheapest quote but professional approach throughout made us buy. Not disappointed, finished product looks superb.

Not only that, they were very competitively priced for the service they offered. Thoroughly recommended!

They have a great showroom to look around, better than just looking though a book ( although they were available too). I was given the information I needed to make the right decisions. I was shown a lot of patience as I was nervous about make the wrong decision. It was great to be assisted by experienced and professional people.

We had used Cherwell Windows a few years ago to replace several of the windows in our house. We were so pleased with them that we have just used them again to replace our remaining windows. I have used Cherwell Windows many times over the years and they never disappoint. Any problems down the line are quickly sorted out. The staff at all levels are lovely and always helpful.
