The ordering was fine and priced competitively but not that much in it really.

As a developer, I spend a great deal on fenestrations and must say the after service is shocking. I spent nearly 20k on this order and a seal was missing at the point of installation but Malcolm was nowhere to be found then, 'leave it with me' he said. Well its a good job my fitter had one from another job as they are rationel specific, otherwise I'd still be waiting for Malcolm to pull his head out of the sand!

Indeed, I have since asked a simple question on self closer suitability and the answer was 'just fit a normal self closer' which is completely ignorant of self closer requirements. You'd think a company like this might be able to offer more support than that. Indeed, they can't even tell me the weight of the doors and now Malcolm is ignoring my emails.

Far better after service from my previous supplier but sadly they no longer supply Rationel.

The process was odd though efficient. I love my doors. Fitters excellent - very personable and friendly. But one thing I really like in companies is the sense they really value me as a customer. Both sales and after sales personnel made me feel like I was something to be ticked off on a spread sheet or just a sales opportunity. Often cursory and somewhat demanding (they would book in appointments to suit them and then sound surprised I couldn’t do it) If I were HR in this company I would train people to warm up a bit and remember customer is king or queen. And just slow down a bit. Spending time with customers on the phone, or in person, makes for a better sales experience.

My old double glazed UPVC windows were showing signs of condensation so I was looking to replace them.
All aspects of my dealings with Cherwell have been excellent. At my initial visit to the showroom Ryan explained my options and gave good advice, without a shadow of the hard sell. Malcolm came out to take measurements and was helpful and professional, as were the fitters who spent a day with me installing four windows.
I am absolutely delighted with the final result. The windows are of great quality and enhance the view of the house from the front. I shall certainly be using Cherwell again., and would happily recommend them to anyone.

Wonderfully helpful sales team who gave us plentiful time and great advice. The windows that we bought are excellent quality and work so well in our old stone house - they look exactly like timber windows when in fact that aren’t, and they’ll let a lot longer

From start to finish, Cherwell Windows have shown fantastic dedication to our home refurbishment project. It was evident from the early stages of the project that Cherwell Windows had the knowledge, skill-set and ability to deliver our new windows to the high standard we expected and within the time frame needed.

The installation team were polite and extremely respectful of our family home. The workmanship was second to none and we were always left with a clean and tidy house.

The project management team were also extremely diligent throughout the whole process, they kept us up-to-date with Project particulars, and we always felt that we were properly informed of most up to date plan on site in advanced, this in turn made our lives easier when having tradesmen in our house.

We are thankful that we purchased our windows from Cherwell, I would not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

We bought expensive Internorm sliding doors and windows from Cherwell. Unfortunately a great product is let down by very poor customer service by Cherwell Windows. There are three major outstanding issues after the installation (wrong handles supplied, expensive electric blinds damaged, large gaps around one window). The commercial manager Wayne is a bully who thinks that the way to resolve customer dissatisfaction is by threatening to withdraw services that the customer has already paid for. For the rest of the windows in my house I will certainly find another Internorm supplier.

We had a disaster of an experience with a well known provider in Slough and had them removed and refunded
Cherwell demonstrates how to do a proper professional job and even installed them earlier then expected

Updated from 5 to 3 stars… after ordering a further set of windows for a different part of the house. Part way through the process everything ground to a halt and it became impossible to speak to someone or for someone to call me back. Very frustrating indeed. Will keep a watch and wait and maybe revise again but not feeling very 5-star now which is such a shame.

Being a local supplier of Evolution windows was the reason we used Cherwell. Product is brilliant, experience let down by sales manager. Malcolm was insincere and untruthful, facts seemed to change on a daily basis along with prices. Also you lost further sales by bad attitude and not sending requested quotations.

I have just had some Origin sliding doors fit by Cherwell & I have to say the service was absolutely amazing. They were so great to deal with & truly made everything so seamless. The doors were fitted in a day & the guys fitting were so helpful & great. Defo recommend. Jessica wright.

Very good service. It did take a long time for the windows to arrive. But that was not down to Cherwell. Very satisfied customer

Cherwell have been excellent! Ryan(ceo) has used his knowledge to assist me in several of my property development projects and I can not recommend Ryan and Cherwell enough! I have used several other company’s over the last 4 years and credit to the team at Cherwell as I will not be using anybody else from now on.

5 star experience

Very unhappy. The short version is we bought many windows from Cherwell as Phase 1. For phase 2 Cherwell suggested we paid a 10% deposit and they would honour the contract in the future - discussed as possibly being a few years.

Cherwell have since tried to cancel the contact despite us disagreeing with this. We then had the funds to proceed with Phase 2 and the correspondence has been quite rude and unfair.

While it's clear Cherwell do not want to proceed, they still believe they have "terminated" the contract where there is no such clause in the contract for this. They could have altered the price (which is allowed for in the contract) but chose not to.

We have since decided they are not a reputable company and not worth forcing them to honour the agreement. We had many teething issues with their product anyway - taking many months to resolve and the resolution not great.

However, after holding our 10% deposit for 3 years, and effectively breaking the contract, they are only willing to return only the deposit amount - we have been out of pocket and could have had 3 years interest on that money or used for other things.

Make your own decisions with using this company, perhaps we were unlucky.

Edit 23/11: No communication from the company about this but appears the exact deposit money may have been paid back. However, not a penny allowed for lost time, effort and potential interest lost. We have found a local window company who are friendly and really nice to do business with and clearly show Cherwell are very overpriced - would recommend them over Cherwell. Good luck folks.

What a shame. I have spent a lot of money with Cherwell windows. I have had 5 wooden framed windows installed. The windows are great. The fitters were fantastic….however..
They are not an easy company to deal with. Various sagas, mistakes and delays along the way.
The latest window that was fitted has now got damage round the seal, apparently caused by slugs. There is damp on the wall under the window that was never there with the old window. A very helpful service engineer said that he would come back to sort it out. Now the office say that these are not product or installation issues, even though the old window had neither of these issues.
I am disappointed. I will not be using Cherwell windows again. I have more windows that need replacing but my loyalty will go elsewhere.

Work was urgently needed to be done to give wheelchair access to our house. The work was planned and completed extremely quickly and efficiently. Amazing staff, amazing company, cannot thank them enough.
The bonus is it has improved the look of the house greatly.
Would highly recommend this company, and wouldn't hesitate to contact them for any future work.

Start to finish, Cherwell have been excellent ! From thorough quoting, advice through to fitting a replacement when we broke a window!

Cherwell installers gave us a very professional service. From the installation team to the team who came to replace an extra large patio door pane and had to work around scaffolding that had been put up early for a new roof. Always cheerful and polite and left the windows sparkling. Only complaint they wouldn't clean rest of my windows! I would recommend Cherwell Windows as competitive on price a good choice of products and excellent work force.

The engineer provided excellent service. Prompt, friendly, fast and very tidy.

Our experience was completely the opposite to ‘Karen’s’ below - so much so that I question whether we are referring to the same company.
Communication was great from the initial consultation to completion of the installation. Installation was a month earlier than expected as the windows were made more quickly.
We had all of our windows and doors replaced. Having mullion windows we were initially concerned following disappointing discussions with other providers, in an industry full of bad news stories - but could not be happier with the outcome. Every day of installation they cleared up after themselves and I was contacted by Cherwell Windows to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.
We would highly recommend them and would happily act as a reference any time.
