It’s an interesting mug—big enough to keep drinks cool and hefty enough not to tip over easily. The stainless steel insert has a screw-in mechanism, so it doesn’t separate, which is a nice touch.

The handle is a little tight in my hands, and I don’t have big hands—mine are about a medium in leather gloves. If someone had larger hands, they might not be able to fit them comfortably inside the handle. The rope handle is also unique. I expected a much darker charcoal color based on the pictures, but it’s noticeably lighter in person.

For the price, I’m still a bit on the fence. Shipping was fast, and it’s a clever, well-made product, but it doesn’t match the photos 100%.

I bought 1 for myself and 1 for my brother. Got the mugs a few days earlier than Chuug's target date and they were everything that was advertised. Going to take care of it as directed and only use it on special occasions, like days that end in y.

i gotta say, i paid a good chunk of change for these monogramed engraved tankards to give as gifts. and after receiving them, I'm a little disappointed. The shipping took a lil long, about 3 and a half weeks from order date. the V3 mug has a nice form factor but its missing the decorative circular grooves that go around the base, as I've seen in the pictures. the rope handle is comfy but frayed a bit. the monogrammed coin that's inserted in the side is off center and isn't actually engraved like the sample picture shows. Its just laser etched evenly with the rest, giving it a contrast of silver over brass, not the beautiful deep engraving that's shown. The coin in the side that's inspired by "ancient exploration"- inspired by craftsmanship, connection, the spirit of giving and the values of the Viking Gebo rune; its a doubloon. they shaved down a Spanish doubloon replica and called it the chuug logo inspired by Norse runes. its Spanish, and represented the ties to the catholic church. AND FINALLY, the steel insert that screws into the inside base of the tankard for cleaning, is a great feature for a non submersible mug. but its totally off center, exposing the edge of the wood which catches your lip. I was moved by their covid story, but I cant recommend one of these. its not nearly the craftsmanship that inspired me to purchase.

Premature review request but was easily assuaged when the product arrived. Amazing quality, perfect packaging. Frankly, I was impatient and disappointed with international shipping and now that I was able to give these to true beer drinkers, I feel really great about recommending this product to others.

I received them a few days ago. They look amazing. I bought two for myself and one for a friend. I think he’ll love it also.

My item has not arrived as of yet, I’m looking forward to using it when it’s delivered

Well guys you've gone and done it again. My v3 chuug just arrived and my mind is blown. This updated version is absolutely spectacular. I got 3 of them this time and I have to say my people are well chuffed with their chuug. Great product and a great service. Can't wait to get more from you.

Paid extra for a “premium gift box and tissue wrap” but it was the same box they used to ship so now I have packing stickers all over the gift box. Rope is frayed, does not look high caliber (seen other reviews that stated the same). Product looks decent but not the craftsmanship of an $80 mug that took over a month to get.
