I bought a car from Cinch and, 10 minutes before getting on the train to collect it, I received a call saying the car might not be ready. This was after I had already bought the car two weeks earlier and spent money on train tickets. Eventually, the car was made available for collection later that day.
When I collected the car, I noticed several issues straight away. Some plastic trim parts were loose and the rear window would not close properly unless I used the driver's controls. Cinch simply told me to call and arrange repairs.
About 10 minutes into the drive home, the tyre pressure warning light came on. I had already booked an MOT for the next day and the car failed with a major fault. On top of that, the air conditioning is not working.
I bought a second hand car, not a project that needs to spend its first week in a garage. I raised these issues with Cinch. The MOT has failed and I am entitled to a free retest within 10 days. However, I cannot see the car being repaired within that timeframe. I asked Cinch to cover the cost of the MOT, but they refused.
It is clear the car was not properly checked before being sold. A tyre pressure warning is one of the most basic things that should be picked up during an inspection. The fact that it appeared within minutes of collection says a lot about the quality of the checks carried out.
I will be calling tomorrow to cancel the purchase. Car that was not as described, yet they have shown no willingness to offer any compensation.
This is the second car I have bought from Cinch that has had major issues. They constantly claim that every car is thoroughly checked, but based on my experience that simply is not true. I would not recommend buying from Cinch, as they appear to sell cars without carrying out proper inspections.

The car was sold with scratches and issues that were not mentioned therefore with a higher cost than it actual value.

Everything is easy. Online ordering and collection is straight forwards.
Customer service is amazing. We previously ordered a car that we did not like during the cool off period. They collected the car, arranged finance to be refunded and refunded us all that we had paid. It was such a great experience that we have now bought another car from them.
Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly, knowledgable and reassuring.

The process from start to finish was so easy.
I was especially impressed with the pick up centre at Corby.
A special mention for the man who greeted us in the carpark and to man who we dealt with for the paperwork/driving the car away were so polite.

vehicle & although advised that all checks had been carried out to vehicle, windscreen bottle had a cup ful of water & ran out whilst driving.
However... very pleased with my purchase.

Collection was positive with Jack, quick and simple. Since leaving had some warning lights, promised call backs that never came. Issues with the car would clearly have been known about at the pre-sale inspection. I don’t think anyone can really rely on that. I was sent to a Marshall’s dealership to rectify but they weren’t able to assist as it was not the brand of car they have the tools for. I’m now waiting on a third party dealership to repair. I was also told by Marshalls there were lots of codes stored on the car that had been ignored and they also noted the vehicle from underneath seemed to have been involved in a crash. They also noted a crash code on the ECU. None of this was disclosed or discussed.

I bought a car in October 2025 after 3 weeks the emissions warning will not start in 650 miles I reported this and they sent out a mobile mechanic who just reset the code after a short period of time the fault reoccured will not start in 650 miles even though I took out an extended warranty I was told by cinch that this was not covered I would need to pay for a diagnostic to sort the problem I did this and the fault was reset again and guess what the fault has come back again resetting isn’t fixing the problem and they now say I need to prove that the car had the problem when I bought the car it’s not rocket science that the fault was there when I bought the car as they came out and turned the fault off with a diagnostic tool and is still there now they are so hard to get anything done to repair the fault I wish now that I had stayed well clear of cinch
