Rubbish bank, there app is always down, the app updated and locked me out of my account for some reason and the phone line to unlock the account is closed until the next day, so I can't access my online banking until tomorrow, not to mention you have to wait on the line for 30 minutes to get through to someone, I've had nothing but problems with the co op, one of my friends has said the same thing, I'm definitely changing my bank tomorrow, and transferring all my funds over, awful banking service.

The bank you need in times of trouble
I have been with the Cooperative bank for over 25 years, and whilst it has always been a straightforward and trustworthy bank, in the last week it has been outstanding! I was stupid enough, despite being a bright and intelligent person, to fall for a sophisticated scam, which left me virtually penniless. I called the bank, not with any real hope left in my breast, but they listened professionally, understood what had happened and outlined what they could do for me. Initially I thought it was a slim chance of any real help, but within an hour or so of the fraud department being passed the issue they called me and told me that if there was no change to my situation in the next 7 days they would refund/reimburse me the full amount on the 8th day. To say I was delighted and relieved is not enough to express my emotions. They were absolutely brilliant and I shed a tear or two at their kindness on the face of what I thought was completely my fault, but as they pointed out, really wasn't. Professional, kind, understanding and ,in my book, brilliant service.

Not good service anymore
Always takes a long time to contact the bank by phone. Then there are numerous options to go through before you get to speak to a person. We are not using online banking due to the issue around fraud. Used to have local branches you could call into or at least phone directly!

After making the call to the cooperative bank to discuss my savings options. Suky from the Romford branch explained all my options going forward. The customer service was excellent

Only open 4 days a week & on those days…
Only open 4 days a week & on those days the bank is open only from 10 to 2pm.
It's self defeating for a bank to reduce its opening hours and days open.
Frustrated account holders will close accounts and go elsewhere.
A Co-operative Bank should Cooperate with its members and those account holders - not ignoring them!!
