GOOD Air Purifier, Hidden Filter Replacement Cost

I purchased two Coway Airmega 150 air purifiers. Overall, I am very happy with the units. They are quiet, effective, and perform expected. However, there is one significant issue that prospective buyers should be aware of. Each new Airmega 150 comes with one Green True HEPA filter, one carbon filter, and one permanent pre-filter. According to Coway's recommended maintenance schedule, the carbon filter should be replaced every six months, while the HEPA filter should be replaced annually. The problem is that Coway's replacement filter set costs $56.00 and includes one HEPA filter and two carbon filters. Since the original unit only includes one carbon filter, you'll run out of carbon filters after the first six-month replacement. To continue following Coway's recommended maintenance schedule, you'll need to purchase a second $56.00 replacement filter set just to obtain the additional carbon filter needed before the HEPA filter is due for replacement. This means you'll have to spend an extra $56.00 per unit sooner than you would reasonably expect. While the Airmega 150 itself is an excellent air purifier that I would recommend, I believe Coway should either include two carbon filters with each new unit or change the replacement filter packaging so that it better matches the recommended maintenance schedule. As it stands, this is an unnecessary and frustrating extra expense for customers.

poor customer service. They kept on calling me for the services for the wrong addresses, they don't communicate with each other. Poorly managed. The maintenance person is all about sales, they will leave products that we don't need and already have plenty to increase their commissions. Overall, not worth the stress.

Air filter Airmega 100 - fabulous product I just have to wait until March to replace the filter as they’re out of stock and online they’re twice the price. I found Maria in customer care superb. Prompt , helpful, polite, knowledgeable response. This product is quiet, effective & easy to use. Fast delivery packaged well, bought last year.

This company acknowledged responsibility for water damage caused by improper installation, but resolving the claim has been extremely frustrating. Even after providing a professional repair estimate as requested, they have delayed payment and insisted on unnecessary additional steps, dragging the process out for over a month.

While responsibility was admitted, the lack of timely follow-through has left my home unrepaired and caused continued inconvenience. Taking responsibility means more than just words — it means resolving the issue fairly and promptly.

Based on my experience, I would not trust this company to handle issues efficiently if something goes wrong. Consider taking your business elsewhere.
