CRB Direct (www.crbdirect.org.uk) are an independent agency who offer a simple process when applying for your Basic Disclosure. We specialise in checking and processing Basic Disclosure applications and provide support and advice specifically for the Basic Disclosure Online Application. We do not currently handle applications for Standard or Enhanced DBS checks although we may be able to advise on who you need to contact if you do require a Standard or Enhanced DBS check.

DO NOT AGREE TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON HERE! RIP off. Awful service cannot get any straight answers when I question what I’m being charged for. Customer service repeatedly email back with a huge over the top statement and totally neglect to answer your question which is what are you charging me for?
The service is awful and the website doesn’t work.

Please avoid this “service” Stressful

Please avoid this “service” Stressful, dishonest and very misleading.
The whole process is unclear and contradictory. Once a payment is made you will be passed onto another “stage” of the process whereby you will be expected to hand over more money and you feel trapped because you’ve already made an initial payment with no promise of your dbs check being completed. The website and “advisors” give unhelpful and patronising feedback and the whole thing feels like a scam. Do not use this company , an expensive lesson in “not clicking the first advert on Google search results “

Worse and overcharged DBS.

The information on the status system was unclear, the process was inefficient, and response times were extremely slow when trying to get support. There was no contact number available for assistance. The pricing was also excessive — £79 for a basic DBS, when I believed I was applying for an enhanced DBS.

I then tried their alternative system and was charged £45 just to open an account, yet the application still would not allow me to proceed and still had to pay £68 to get through the application. The entire process was unnecessarily frustrating for something as straightforward as applying for an enhanced DBS.

I will not be using this service again. I switched to another provider and paid £75 for an enhanced DBS with no system issues and far better support.

Awful experience and no way to contact…

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Awful experience and no way to contact anybody but wait for a two day response by ticket.

What happened to a customer support line.

Expensive charges for small business with yearly fee.

Trying to make employee pay £12.50 for id check yet I’ve paid for the dbs £80 and yearly fees £45 sooo £125 and I still have no dbs because the application will not allow applicant to progress without paying £12.50

Why did I pay these extortionate fees in the first place so my employee didn’t have to put hand in pocket and then the company still try’s to rip them off further.

Give me a refund and I never want to use you again!!!

Why reply to my trust pilot but not my query ivf raised through your useless support desk?

2nd response on trust pilot but still no response to my query on your portal…. WORST COMPANY EVER AVOID AVOID AVOID

Why isn't zero stars available?

Why isn't zero stars available. Premium price for appaling service. I've had many DBS checks in the past and they easily coped with my 3 countries and 2 marriages and 3 citizenships and name changes. This lot were HOPELESS, asking for the same information over and over and then the document uploader kept failing. I wasted hours with their poorly named "service". I have been on DBS online for many years. Apparently this all counts for nothing when you are trying to deal with people who have a standard script and no oversight.

No updates

I didn't receive any notifications from the company to let me know that the applicant had filled in the form but that I needed to clarify a few details. I had to start a conversation on the support page to find that out. Once I was in touch with Kathryn, communication was generally very quick.
