Paid over $200 for shoes that arrived…

Paid over $200 for shoes that arrived with toe marks!! The company offered a $25 gift card and told me to clean them myself. Not impressed. They blocked me off instagram because I commented say exactly this hahahahaha this company is going to fail so hard. Just watch. Karma is a b***h!!

Response - The fact that your company had to write a full essay to defend sending out filthy shoes says it all. Instead of admitting you sold a used pair as “brand new,” you chose to gaslight and lie publicly — even stooping low enough to mention my mental health. That’s not just unprofessional, it’s vile.

No “quality check” leaves toe marks. Stop insulting people’s intelligence. You can dress it up however you want, but every excuse you wrote screams guilt and desperation.

You call this “extensively documented”? Perfect — because I have the same documentation, and it proves exactly what you’re denying. Try spinning it all you want, but your reviews speak louder than your rehearsed PR statement.

Maybe if you put half the energy you spend arguing with customers into actual quality control, you wouldn’t be drowning in negative reviews. Shameful company.

We take customer concerns seriously, and this situation has been extensively documented.
This customer was offered multiple resolutions — including a free exchange and a $25 gift card — both of which she declined. The shoes sent were brand new and unworn. The only visible marks she referenced were light impressions that can occur from handling with her own fingers (the material is a reflective mirror like finish which shows fingerpritns/toe prints easily) or brief try-ons during standard quality checks.

She later claimed a “severe OCD” issue and that she was getting married within days, yet continued sending aggressive emails and posting online for hours instead of accepting one of the solutions we provided even after we told her the matter is closed and the options have been laid out.

We responded promptly to every message, usually in 10 min or less, yet she claimed we were not handling this urgently enough. We offered courtesy options well beyond our written policy, and remained professional throughout. Unfortunately, when a customer refuses all reasonable resolutions and begins harassing our staff and posting false statements, we will not continue to engage.
The customer has been relentlessly leaving reviews and emailing for 6 hours.

All correspondence and photos have been documented. Our record shows this claim has been fully addressed and closed.

Never got my shoes

Never got my shoes. Contacted them, and they were unresponsive and unhelpful.

Quality is Target level, and their CEO is not a good person. Look her up.

Your review is particularly strange because you first say you never got the shoes then say the quality is "target level". So it sounds like you did in fact receieve your shoes.

Shady business practice

Shoe size runs a full 1.5 sizes small, with their horrendous return policy (i.e. you can’t return only store credit) it makes it super shady. You’re basically locked in. I didn’t realize they would not except returns (it’s 2025 after all - most small brands charge a modest return fee at least like $5 but no one is store credit only these days) so when I realized the shoe was way too small and I needed them for an event I swiftly purchased the larger size thinking I would get refunded for the 2 pairs that were too small. Now I’m stuck with 4 shoes worth of credits to this company. Ugh.

Some styles run slightly small, but we always note this on the product page. We're also always happy to assist with fit questions to help you order confidently the first time.

As for our return policy, we’re a small, independent brand that produces limited quantities and does not mass manufacture. Because of this, we offer store credit or exchanges rather than refunds, a policy clearly stated at checkout and in our FAQs. This allows us to avoid excessive inventory loss and helps ensure that more customers have access to our limited sizing runs.

We specifically have this policy in place to discourage bulk ordering with the intent to return, which can pull multiple pairs out of circulation and cause other customers to miss out. We understand your intention wasn’t to misuse the system, but that scenario is exactly what we try to prevent with our current structure.

Stylish, Comfortable, and Guilt-Free

I recently bought a pair of shoes from them and I’m honestly impressed. I’ve heard about the brand being vegan and cruelty-free, which is a big deal for me, but I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of quality and comfort. Turns out, they nailed it. These shoes are gorgeous and perfect for dressing up or adding a little glam to a casual outfit and they were even prettier in person! I wore them to a wedding and was on my feet dancing for hours. My feet weren’t killing me at the end of the night, which says a lot for a pair of heels cuz I’m a big baby when it comes to high heels and always end up taking them off before the night is over!

If you’re looking for shoes that are stylish, comfy, and kind to the planet, I’d definitely recommend checking them out. I’m already eyeing another pair!

I ordered a pair of shoes from Cult of Coquette after being captivated by their promises of luxury-quality craftsmanship and ethical production. Unfortunately, the reality could not have been further from what was advertised.

Upon arrival, the shoes looked nothing like the images on the website. The shape was completely off, the quality was appallingly low, and it was immediately clear that I had been deceived by misleading marketing. As someone who only invests in high-quality, luxury goods, I can confidently say these shoes are far from luxury.

I reached out to the owner within five minutes of receiving the package, hoping to resolve the issue amicably. To my dismay, my concerns were dismissed outright, and a refund was refused despite the glaring discrepancy between what was promised and what was delivered.

For anyone considering a purchase from this business, I urge you to proceed with extreme caution. My experience was marked by deception, poor customer service, and a refusal to stand behind the quality of their product. A true luxury brand would never operate this way.

Save your money and avoid the headache—I will never shop here again.

I purchased these shoes because I loved the style they showed online, but after receiving them, I’m genuinely disappointed. The style is off, and the quality doesn’t match what was advertised. The bottom of the shoe is like something I’d find at Target, and the part that’s supposed to hold my foot is way too big. This doesn’t match the product description at all.

I want to be clear: these shoes are unworn. I tried to let it sit for a bit, but honestly, every time I look at them, I’m even more certain they’re just not up to the quality I expected. I even submitted my return request within 5 minutes of delivery, so you can see how quickly I realized these wouldn’t work.

I understand that your usual policy is no refunds, but in this case, the product was not accurately described or as advertised. I feel strongly that a replacement wouldn’t solve the issue, as it seems to be a design and quality problem, not a one-off defect. So, I’m requesting a full refund for these unworn shoes and will return them promptly.

I’d love to resolve this directly with your team and avoid leaving a negative review. Thank you for understanding, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I have purchased 3 pairs of heels from Cult of Coquette, and I appreciate that it has been a consistent experience each time, from the customer service to the quality of the shoe. I most recently wore a pair to a wedding, and I was able to dance through the reception without taking off my shoes and putting on slides. The packing is wonderful and the delivery time was right on schedule. Mine fit true to size, and I am a 7-7.5.

BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I bought TWO pairs of shoes and both were an absolute nightmare. After just ONE wear, the first pair completely fell apart—the sole started separating, the stitching unraveled, and to top it off, the shoe tap came off like it was barely attached in the first place. I thought maybe it was just a defect, so I gave the second pair a shot. SAME THING. Cheaply made, totally unusable.

I contacted customer service hoping for a solution, but instead got hit with rude, unhelpful, and downright disrespectful responses. No refund. No apology. No attempt to make it right—just attitude and blame-shifting.

This company is the definition of poor quality and even worse service.
Save your money. Save your sanity. Don't spend a single dime here.
You’ve been warned.

Hi Duchess. We would be happy to post our email correspondence to prove what a blatant lie this is.

First, you did not pay $195 for the shoes you paid $156. You also received free shipping.

You reached out to let us know the insole of one of the shoes was slightly lifted in the inner corner AFTER you had already worn them, we responded immediately and offered you two different options: to replace the shoes free of charge or to keep them and we would refund $20 so you could repair them along with a $40 gift card. (The issue was very slight, and could have easily been resolved with a drop of glue, or taken to a shoe repair and repaired for less than $15)

You did not respond again for 6 weeks, at which time you came back saying the other pair also had a lifting insole, again AFTER you wore them and asked us to pay $70 for repairs that we never agreed to.

You then went back and forth on multiple emails accusing us of being unreasonable for not paying for a repair that was overpriced and unnecessary.
Not a single interaction was rude or unprofessional on our end. You had a demand you wanted met, that we were not willing to agree to because it was unreasonable.

The shoes were not defective in any way when you purchased them, and even after you wore not one but both pairs and 2 months had passed since you purchased them we still offered you a solution and you chose to ignore it, even though you could have received a brand new pair of shoes. Instead you tried to extort us for $70.

We have sold thousands of pairs of this style with no issues, and we do not normally accept worn shoes, yet we still offered very generous solutions that you chose to ignore and now you want to play the victim.

Fortunately, most of our customers are nothing like you, which is why we always offer exceptional customer service and quick and accommodating solutions.

Donatella Clear Slingback Pumps

I recently ordered the Donatella Clear Slingback Pumps along with another pair of heels from Cult of Coquette (Order #18114), and I must say, my experience has been nothing short of exceptional! This was my first order with the company, and I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding customer service I received.

Unfortunately, after wearing the pumps for a birthday gathering, I encountered an issue with one of the heel tacks coming off. However, the representative I contacted was incredibly helpful and respectful, responding to my concerns in a very timely manner. They resolved the issue by sending out a replacement heel tap and even included a gift card for my next purchase, which was a lovely surprise!

The shipping was impressively fast, and both pairs of heels were delivered exactly as described on the website with clean packaging. I truly love these pumps and appreciate the quality and service provided. I will definitely be ordering from Cult of Coquette again in the future! Great customer service.

Amazon Quality

I had been eyeing the Goldie Clear Drip Chandelier Open Toe Mules and finally purchased as a treat for myself. The shoe does not look as beautiful on the foot. The “crystals” (more like cheap plastic beads you can buy at a kids craft store) are only sewn on the front of the toe box instead of reaching around higher to both sides of the foot. This results in a bulbous shape where it just looks like your feet are sprouting plastic beads. The quality was NOT worth $195. Cheap beads, poor craftsmanship (loose beads, threads)..etc. On top of that, they do not offer refunds- only store credit. And judging by the quality of the shoe I received, I did not see any shoe on their website that I would want to exchange for. They said I could gift my credit to a friend- yeah right. As if I would insult my friends with a gift certificate to a site with cheap shoes. I decided on a shoe that I could have really just gotten off Amazon with similar quality but obviously a cheaper price. I’ve worn them about 3 times now and you can just tell that they are not quality shoes at ALL. Again with the loose threads/uneven stitching. Other than the crystal drip shoes, their other shoes are incredibly basic so save your $195 and buy your staple/everyday shoes from elsewhere with a better return policy and actual quality products worth the price.

Shoes are overpriced and bad quality. They also don’t specify that you cannot return the item saying it’s custom made to order.
Absolutely never mentioned! It took weeks to ship and even though I tried to cancel the order many time because it wouldn’t ship they didn’t. Just to tell me I cannot return it.

Hi Jody, This is a very misleading review and we have professionally and courteously explained your options in response to multiple emails you have sent us. The shoes you purchased were a pre sale style, you received 20% off for reserving your pair along with free shipping. You received the shoes before the in stock date that was posted very clearly when you put the item in your cart. Once you received the shoes you decided you did not like them, which is fine. While you may think they are "poor quality" this is our single best selling shoe for several years, so this is a matter of opinion. You then requested a return. The return directions were given to you and you demanded a refund, which we do not offer. You then claimed you tried to cancel multiple times, but there is no record of a single email from you before your return request. You then proceeded to threaten a chargeback to get around store policy and spent your time commenting messages like the one above all over our social media. You are able to receive a store credit which does not expire or do a free exchange. But at this time we do not offer refunds, per our posted policy. The fact that you do not like the return policy that you chose not to review before ordering does not equate to us providing poor customer service or being a "scam" as you accused us of being via email. All stores, online and brick and mortar have return policies, and it is the customer's responsibility to check or ask for it before ordering. Ours is clearly posted on the returns page and FAQs page, and the "no refunds" section is intentionally put in bold letters to avoid any confusion. As there is no issue with the shoes and we fulfilled our obligation and provided everything as promised, there is no reason for us to make an exception to our policy. Especially after you made multiple threats to open a fraudulent chargeback via email.

The most stunning shoes! My friend loves this company so I made sure to purchase my Birthday shoes from here and boy am I happy I did. The color is stunning and so comfortable, bonus points for how fast I got them after ordering. I will be a return customer!

Great Brand and Very Comfortable.

I have purchased 2 pairs of shoes from this brand and I love! the designer shoe at a very reasonable price. Super comfortable, fast shipping and the customer service was great. I had a couple questions about sizing and my email was answered quickly.
