I signed up for a one week dance app and paid the £6 for it on 25 January. I have not been able to use the software as I have been very ill. imagine my surprise when I was debited for £94.75 on 1 Feb. I immediately sent them an email saying I did not sign up for this and please refund my money immediately. Then I saw a cancellation for subscription tab so I clicked that as well and cancelled my ‘subscription’. I get an email from them on 2 February saying they can’t refund my payment but will not debit me again!! However I can have 6 months free subscription instead. I did not want the first month never mind 6 months. Unbelievable attitude, apparently they can’t refund subscriptions. If they were totally above board and valued their reputation they would have asked first if I wanted to make further use of their app. Secondly, they would have refunded my money. Not a great experience - stay far away.

Update: 3 February. I have received my full refund, think Monzo sorted it out, although the parent company of Dance-bit said they would refund.

Unscrupulous company. Paid an initial £24 to try this app but they were very persistent in trying to get to extend this
I told them.numerous times I did not want to extend this so thought this was the end of it until I noticed today they have taken! £56 from my account without my agreement
I told them I have not used the app as I have became ill but they still say they will not refund me
I am.now overdrawn and cannot afford this. I am so stressed and keep crying as don't know whst to do
I've contacted my bank so pray they help me

The initial subscription is reasonable but then they take an excessive payment less than a month later. Emails initially ignored and a refund refused but they did then agree to refund. Just be aware of the small print.

Terrible billing practices - sign up for 7 days free billed 127 end of the week,
I had an active account they started billing twice.
This app is confusing accounts hard to delete.

Ze krijgen van mij niet eens 1 ster! Ik heb m'n abonnement gecancelled maar ze hebben vandaag wel €157,35 van mijn creditcard gehaald. En als ik het opnieuw wil opzeggen wordt mijn emailadres niet herkend en lukt dat dus niet.

Pure afzetterij! Ze lokken met promoties terwijl ze achter de rug via automatische betalingen meer aftroggelen. Ik heb uiteindelijk dubbel betaald, dus betalingen geblokkeerd.

I signed for a 7 days trial giving authorisation of being charged of a payment of 6.62£, after 6 days a payment was made of 108 pounds they claimed to be for a month ( a month costs around 21£)how can this be possible when I didn’t receive a email saying the trial is ending or any information from them, inducing people to buy something that they didn’t signed for is a crime. Now I believe I have lost the money,they send us the rules of what we signed for after we requested the refund , in Uk subscriptions can be cancelled in a period of less of a month the consumer is not happy and receive the refund, please stay away from this guys , did anyone hit their money back?

I would score minus if I could. Signed up, paid a month and when I try to do challenge demands more money. Can't manage subscription to cancel either. Makes me sick, these companies are allowed to trade.

Scam, scam, scam. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY OR GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. I paid, then discovered the app wouldn't work on my laptop or phone. Tried to cancel within 15 minutes, was told it was too late. I'm planning to sue them in small claims court if they don't return my money. If you want to join me, please let me know. I'll check back on these reviews. They provide a phone number, 877 779-0710 but no one is available.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I fell for Dancebit’s promotional offer advertised on Instagram—€31.46 for three months of dance classes. After completing the payment, I was redirected to a page offering an additional premium subscription.

I had no interest in this offer and tried to exit the page, but there was no clear way to do so. The only visible option was a large button labeled “Continue.” Thinking it would lead me to the program I had already paid for, I clicked it, only to discover an extra charge of €96.68 was added to my PayPal account without any confirmation or warning.

This type of misleading checkout process is unethical and feels intentionally designed to trap users into paying for something they did not intend to buy. When I contacted support, I received a generic reply citing their “non-refundable” policy, which does not justify their deceptive practices.

I have since contacted them demanding a refund and am prepared to escalate this to PayPal and consumer protection authorities if necessary.

It’s a real shame because the program itself seems like a great idea. However, such dishonest tactics completely ruin any trust I could have had in this company.

To anyone considering this service: be very cautious. Their process is far from transparent, and based on other reviews here, I am not alone in experiencing this.

Fraudulently took £104 for 1 month of app usage.
It wasn’t clear and they can get away with charging you for a so called premium service.
The small print is misleading and they basically just take your money however much they feel like.
Stay away this is a bunch of scammers.
The app is rubbish - I could pay for a private instructor for the amount they charge.
How do they live with themselves.

Bad experience. The app didn't work and I cancelled my subscription, but did not get at refund! It's a scam! Do not subscribe to this app!

This company charges your credit card without authorization (reverse billing). I am trying to get my money back by using the consumer's protection act in Quebec and making a claim through Paypal. I with let you know how it turns out.

Forget stars, for this organisation, we need a red flag option...all the way up to 10!

Having read a lot of the reviews here, I am beating myself up for not reading them BEFORE I signed up to Dancebit!

Firstly, I paid for a 1-month programme outside the app on its website. I did not receive any email or other confirmation of that payment, but the payment was taken instantly. Each time I tried to access a class, I was told to sign up and pay for a programme!

So, I then, foolishly, opted for the 3-day trial, and DID manage to access a class or 2 then. I cancelled on 26 September, one day before the trial. Then yesterday, I saw a payment come out of my account for around £8. The cheek of it!

Of course, you can't get hold of anyone to resolve the issue either...

Stay as far away as possible from these unscrupulous thieves, unless you have case to throw away!

Auto renewal, not informed and dramatic price increase without knowledge! Stay away.

If I could give zero stars I would. Signed up for a trial at $7 and a week later $120 dollars was debited with no warning. The small print is deliberately buried beneath all sorts of bells and whistles. Fraudulent, deceptive, immoral behaviour. First-class scammers, steer very clear

If I could give this no stars, I would. Didn’t explain price in its entirety, didn’t say cost of one month would then double & auto-renew. HORRIBLE INSTRUCTORS. My cousin is a Zumba instructor and said this was the worst dance-for-exercise app that she’s ever seen! These people wouldn’t know hip hop if it hit them in their ass. I WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO PURCHASE THIS! IT IS A SCAM - THEY DON’T INFORM YOU CORRECTLY. And, if this matters to anyone, they are NOT from the USA. TOTAL BS. I WISH I COULD GET MY MONEY REFUNDED 100%.

I was signing for a three month period but ended up with two payments leaving my bank account for a whole years worth! The site has boxes covering up most of the screen just as you commit. There was a question that pertained to wanting long term fitness but I didn't see any explicit reference to it meaning signing up to another 9 months on top the first 3. I hope they go out of business. Dishonest sellers sneaking the wrong link in place of the one you think you're clicking on or not providing the link you need to access your chosen option. You can't get human help afterwards. This is all before you even get to see what it's like. I feel stung and not at all like dancing!

Could not open even if I paid.
