If you are a foreigner in Finland and want a bank that treats you like a criminal (even if you are not one) then you came to the right bank! They seem to believe that the latest European money laundering laws gives them equivalence to a law enforcement agency and justifies harassing their clients about when and where they got their money and threatening to freeze their accounts if they decline to answer their privacy intrusive questions or if you can not provide some of the evidence they requested (speaking from personal experience). Their website page ‘Reklamaatioiden käsittely‘ is only available in Finnish for e.g., I asked customer support about a formal complaint but so far no reply. I have accounts in more than 1 bank, but Danske Bank FI is special, really special…highly recommended if you are on the other side of the law, the tactics will be familiar…

Yritin saada chatin kautta ohjeistusta, miten vaihdetaan puhelinnumero asiakastietoihin, kun danskeid lakkasi toimimasta. Vastaus: soita asiakaspalveluun. Joka btw vaatii tunnistautumisen, eli sen danskeid:n. Kaikkeen on vastaus soita (maksulliseen) asiakaspalveluun, jossa EI voida tehdä mitään, koska tunnistussovellus ei toimi! Kysyin VIISI eri kertaa verkkopankissa, mitä ovat aiheettomat veloitukset tililtäni. Ainoa vastaus oli automaattivastaus "voi olla jotain kiinteistökauppojen veloituksia, soita asiakaspalveluun" Siis kiinteistökauppaa kiinteistöstä, jota minulla ei edes ole? Vaihtoon menee moinen pulju. asap.
I was interested in a house loan, but there is no way to contact this bank!
I was interested in a house loan with Danske Bank and tried to call their number 0200 2590, but it is not available. Since they also have no contact form for non-customers on the website, I started a chat. I was told to call the number 0100 1580, so I did. I do not speak enough Finnish to discuss house loan matters. The customer service just hanged up the phone call after a min. without apology after I asked if they speak English. Very strange service and weird behaviour and I would not recommend. Since I cannot reach them any other way (not sufficient information on their website at all), I just go for another bank. Thank you .

Vi försökte på flera sätt få kontakt med danske bank för pappas pension utan resultat efter att hans fru gick bort. Iår gick han bort utan att få ta del av pengarna på flera år. Var hamnar pengarna? Går inte att mejla och att ringa har vi heller inte lyckats med. Har inte finland upplysningsrätt till skattemyndigheten i Sverige? Datum för upplevelsen är flera, men pappas dödsdag får bli det idag.

They stole my money from the kapitalisaatio sopimus. 7 000 euro. First they said it was Russia that withheld that money. Then they said they decided themselves leave Russian market and end the shares portfolio there.
However, by the contract they must take care of my money, yet they are just saying it is lost. There is no prove it is so. It looks that they just stole this money and telling whatever.

After fraud attack on my bank account. Danske bank was not able to cancel the pending transaction due to “technicalities” as the result the money was gone and afterwards they refused to reclaim it.
I used this bank for a few years but it is suitable for only low key activities and that it.

They took my money
I wanted to close my savings account in Danske Bank and they took almost 2000euros from there without telling me as their “fees”. The account had 6200euros in it. They also closed my investment account without telling me and kept the money. I have reported this bank and would advise anyone considering DB to stay away. Their customer service is non existent and they are dishonest in their communications.
It's getting worse every year.
1. Customer service is slow - I usually need to wait 5-8 WORKING days to get answer to my requests. Not only they are slow, they are most of the time unable to solve problems.
2. Their website is from another era - the 80's - especially the investment section. Horrendous to use. To top it all, it is impossible to seriously invest in new companies as it takes them ages before they add newly listed companies to their investment portal. Requests for additions won't help. They reply after 10 days, and tell you they cannot make any promise. Then nothing happens. Your message goes straight to the bin of classified message without follow-up.
3. Their service fees are high, no matter what you do, you have to pay (even to withdraw money from the so-called "savings account" that offers a whooping 0% interest rate.
4. The mobile app is a complete disaster.
5. Service fees have been increasing a lot in the last years, while service quality has dropped significantly.
No help to access funds for my old mother
Unfortunately, our experience with Danske bank is a disaster. Very difficult to get help, or in our case living in Sweden, even access to our money. Procedures have changed and my aging mother is told the only way to get access to her funds is to go to Finland in person, something she will not be able to do. There is no help to get from Danske Bank in Sweden either.
Rude staff. Avoid this bank.
After having an account with Danske for 6yrs, my partner and I applied for a housing loan. We both have steady, well paying jobs, no debts, and large savings. For some reason, unknown to us, they rejected us. That wasn't necessarily terrible. However, the way we were spoken to was appalling. We were talked down to and patronised in such a curt manner. We have now decided to move all of our banking to OP, who happily offered us a housing loan. Perhaps if we had been money laundering, they would have been more accommodating, given their history.
E-banking does not work properly too often
Not stable e-banking. Every second time when I try to use e-banking it does not work and tell me to try later. Sometimes even after successful login it logs me out because of timeout.
Otherwise, the web-site is good.
