Steven and Reece at Data Clinic couldn't have been more helpful in dealing with my severely damaged HDD. I had some important time critical work-related data on complex Excel spreadsheets that I needed to access from the HDD urgently. Steven was extremely understanding with my plight, keeping me informed, explaining what the issues were, managing my expectations and reducing my panic levels.
Following the recovery work that Data Clinic performed in May I have now had sufficient time to work on all of my retrieved files and I can conclude that they did an excellent job. There were some files that could not, unfortunately, be retrieved but Reece clearly identified and segregated those files. In the Excel files categorised as damaged I was still able to use some parts of worksheets which I didn't expect to be able to do. Some files were permanently damaged despite Data Clinic's best efforts. This is no one's fault but my own!

Thank you Dataclinic for retrieving the files from my hard drive having accidentally pour a cup of soup over my laptop. You did exactly as you promised to do, giving me the opportunity to check the files I wanted were retrievable before completing the transaction. I recieved the data on the 4th August well within the agreed timescale.

I had an iMAC with a fusion drive setup so the data retrieval had to be done along with the iMAC, so I was asked to send the iMAC and as I had my original packaging, I did send it well packed. I was promised they have experience in this and iMAC will be safe. However they failed to retrieve any data as they said the hard drive was damaged beyond repair & they have also scratched my iMAC screen so bad while taking the screen out, broke my WIFI card & lost some screws. They said they are not authorized to glue the screen back but would they not even give it a gentle wipe ? it was nasty when it arrived. So no data retrieval, damaged iMAC 27 screen, broken WIFI card and missing screws. When I complained about this they say as per T&Cs they are entitled to damage your whole thing as they see your stuff as a mere junk. However they only charged me for return courier (eventhough I was promised there wont be any courier charge). However one of the staff said they will charge 90 for diagnostics and insisted I phone them on their mobile number which was suspicious as he was planning to rip me off. Luckily nothing happened after I phoned the main line. So they may have some success rate in data recovery as per other reviews but forget your whole equipment when you send. they just see it as a mere junk. I am still fighting to get compensation for my scratched iMAC 27 screen.

Data Clinic provide a fantastic service - recovered data from 2 of my hard drives. Both of my drives had serious issues - one was corrupted digitally, the other had been physically dropped and damaged. For both they were able to recover the data. They didn't charge me any additional cost when I realised that the contents of one drive weren't what I was looking for. They send you a report to verify that you want the data before they charge you for recovery - so you stay in control of what you pay. Considering the amount of work required, and their taking responsibility for the delivery charges, I think the cost was reasonable. And they recovered data which I feared had been lost for good. They were quick and polite and dealt with all my queries professionally. Thank you so much!

Phone Data Recovery
I recently contacted Data Clinic as I lost all the data from my iPhone (photos, videos, text ☹)
They were able to help me - Chris and Mohammad, were really nice, very informative about the whole process and kept me up to date.
It was quick from start to finish and I was lucky enough to have the data recovered! It is a bit pricey, but I think it's in line with what other companies are charging (don't know). I suppose, you have to ask yourself how much you are willing to pay for photos etc back when your phone isn't working (And not backed up. BIG lesson learnt for me!)
If I had a neg, then I wish they offered a cost plan i.e.. Option £X (cheaper) and could be lucky. Or go straight to Option £XX, yes it cost more but the chance of success is improved. Instead, you must try option 1 and if unsuccessful, then you have a choice if you want to try Option 2, with more chance of success but still not guarantee, hence it’s pricy (but maybe about the same as other companies?) But yeah, these Guys are great, and the company delivered; I got my photos/ data back! So, I’m happy

I had a hard drive that stopped working which had 5 years worth of professional work & 6 years worth of personal photos on there. The guys at data clinic were super helpful & communication was clear. They managed to save about 98% of stuff on my hard drive which is amazing!! Service was quick & the price wasn’t too steep compared to other places. Would definitely recommend them & use them again in the future should I need to!

I can not thank Data Clinic enough for retrieving my data from my broken mobile. The anxiety when you realise you have just lost everything! Communicated well and got my harddrive extracted super fast, very grateful! Very professional.

From the start to the finish I found the company to be really up front with all information and costs and communication was good. I was kept up to date through the process and pick up and delivery by DPD was also great door to door service. My hard drive was returned and all but one small file was recovered which was fantastic as it was all my photos and videos over the last 13 years that hadn't been stored elsewhere. So happy to have them recovered. I can't recommend the company enough and would recommend 100%.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service. My hard drive had sadly seized the heads and i could no longer view my pictures or videos of my past loved ones. I contacted data clinic in bristol and they had my drive picked up next day. Within a week they had recovered all my data onto my data stick, put new heads on the drive and i recieved it back again. They are friendly and full of advice too. I highly recommend this company 👍

Sent my external HDD to DataClinic, from the offset, great communication (phone/emails) and a very speedy service. I thought my device was past the point of no return, 3 days later, the guys at DataClinic sent me a link to a file path which showed around 95% data recovery. Great service, big thanks to Steven & Reece.

Device: WD My Passport Ultra 1 TB External Hard Drive.

Issue: Fatal Device Hardware Error + 44 bad sectors (22kb worth of data) – at a state where it was essential that I backed up the rest of the data before my hard drive officially dies. I had no means to do what was required to recover the data from an inaccessible drive, so I had to contact a data recovery specialist.

Data loss: years of family memories in photographs, a lot of important documents, and recordings.

Hope: 0%

Panic: off the charts!

Reaction: contacting every data recovery clinic I possibly could from the Google results – one of the top ones was Data Clinic. Reached out to Western Digital for advice too.

Response: WD never responded. Every data recovery company I contacted was dodgy, except Data Clinic, so I took their service. They were realistic, confident, polite, patient, respectful, and sincere. They explained their success rate is 90%, what services they provided, and shared with me their process.
Solution: handing over my EHD to Data Clinic and praying for a miracle! I called Chris and set up a day for my device to be collected – along with my damaged device I also sent a new 1 TB EHD for the data to be saved in.

Process:
Day 1 - DPD collected my device.
Day 2 - Around 10 AM next day Data Clinic confirmed that they received my data, stated that they were assessing my EHD, shared with me how they were going to do that, and explained that I will receive full assessment report soon as they are done. At 15:52 PM, the same day, I received the full assessment report with my options to go ahead with the recovery or not. I paid and went ahead.
Day 3 – Steve confirmed my payment and notified me that their technicians are going forward with the data recovery which will take 5-10 working days.
Day 7 – I received an attachment of the full list of the data that was recovered with options for me to decline or accept the list. I was so happy to see my folders and I accepted. The data wouldn’t fit the 1 TB EHD I had sent them, so they offered me to buy from them a 2 TB EHD or for me to send them one, I chose to purchase from them as it will cost me the same if I purchased it from PC World/Currys. Plus, I was going to purchase a 2 TB EHD anyway so, win-win!
Day 8 – The data was saved into the 2 TB EHD and sent for delivery via DPD.
Day 9 – I received the data along with my other EHDs. I was delighted!

Chris and Steve kept me up-to-date throughout it all which made me avoid being stressed. Truly appreciated it!

Outcome: 100% data recovery! Damaged files were also recovered – like what?! YAYE!

My Reaction: Immediate backing up of the data in several places and creating backups of the backups. Lesson learned!

My message to Chris and Steve: you both have given me my birthday, Christmas, and New Year’s gift! THANK YOU AND BLESS YOU ABUNTANTLY!

My State: happiness off the charts!

To anyone in the same/similar position but struggling to decide on whether to trust Data Clinic or not, I understand that struggle and I hope I can make the decision much easier for you by saying that contact them and if they say they can do it then they mean it!

They don’t beat around the bush. Their success rate is for real! Other companies will make you wait for weeks or months, many play games - charge you crazy amount, make more problems than there are to raise the price, withhold devices and data, threatening to destroy them if they’re not paid etc. The nightmare stories of other companies are very real.

Data Clinic is the only data recovery service that won’t take advantage of you. They are compassionate and sensitive to how important the data is for you and treat you and your device with care.

I didn’t have to fight for answers, I didn’t have to try to figure out if I was being played, I didn’t have to chase them, I didn’t panic once when my device landed in their hands, and they do not make you wait unnecessarily for answers. They love their job, it’s obvious, they are dedicated, they put in 100% effort, they charge you fairly, and they are genuine. They were friendly to talk to and made me feel safe to trust them with my sensitive data and years of memories that I hold dear to me.

I genuinely had zero hope that thousands of my files would ever be recovered but they made it happen!

After my android phone got water damaged and would not turn on, I had a sinking feeling of lost data. Great service was given from my first call to the return of all my data. Absolutely recommend - my iPhone was stuck in a boot loop (it was full and had not enough storage left and got stuck mid update). Apple offered to restore my iPhone back to factory settings, meaning I'd have lost all my data (including 3 years worth of photos). I chose to look for options to retrieve my data - no online software worked and just as I was about to give up, I found Data Clinic and I am so glad I did! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, and they recovered ALL of my data in no time. I have all my photos back (and more) and I am over the moon. Can't recommend it enough!

I had a problem with my 2TB seagate drive , being a music producer , this was a disaster for me!i thought all my data was gone and that 21 years of my hard work had dissapeared. So i researched data clinic and must say i was quite skeptical after reading some of the reviews on here. BUT BOY WAS I WRONG!! Michelle you are an Angel in disguise , customer service 10/10 , my drive was sorted quicker than i could flip a pancake and all not most but ALL of my data was recovered , Stephen you are next to God when it comes to dealing with customers who are worried , Stephen reassured me that all was going to be fine, and had my data sent back to me the next day. i dont know what happened with the other reviews on trust pilot about data clinic? But in my experience with this company , i will be recommending them to everyone i know that needs them , what an amazing company , Michelle and Stephen , you are both a perfect example of what professional customer service should be like, Thank you so much and to all at data clinic ...... Highly recommended company. I lost almost all my data one night for some bizarre reason. I came across Data Clinic via Google search. They will explain to you the process, telling you how it works. They’re very patient with me and make sure that I understand everything. They will continue to work to get all my data back. After the first process, they managed to get most of the data and I managed to convince them to do the second process to rescue even more data. I’m glad that I have chosen Data Clinic. I managed to get almost all my files back, 99.2% back, including my important files for work and other enquiries. Even gave me important advice afterwards to avoid any more disappointment.
They’re respectful people and a legitimate company. Michelle even checked on my latest update on my data progress to see everything is fine for me. They do care. Thanks, Data Clinic
