Still Waiting...…

I bought a few lures on the 7th of August and my order still has not been processed as of today the 18th of August. Yes i received an email saying that you are busy, but It only took 4 days to receive an order i placed with a different site. What's the hold up ?? Its only a couple of lures. Bloody dissapointed..

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! Didn’t start even processing my order until 5 days after. Still waiting for delivery. Looks like my daughter won’t have a snorkel for our holiday 😡
Misleading shipping policy - direct from website:
“Orders reach the processing stage in our warehouse almost instantly after the order is placed” (my order was placed on 6 August and then I received an email on 11 August saying that my order had reached the processing stage. 5 days does not = instantly).
Now on 15 August I still have received no correspondence or updates.
You can’t hide from terrible customer service under a broad shipping policy.
I note that there are only good reviews on your website which by the reviews here, is also misleading.
Also a suggestion - ending all your responses with “have a good day :)” is condescending and offensive to your customers who have genuine complaints about the company.

Never..... Again

I definitely will never purchase from Dave's Tackle ever again, you're so-called delivery/refund policy is your downside, I also think that you're holding back the orders to gain the 10% restocking fee, I'll make sure at every opportunity to let the fishing community know about your so-called policy.

14 days to be even posted.absolutly useless company to deal with especially when they only look at emails once a week and there is no active phone number.I will be telling everyone that I know in our fishing community not to deal with this and it's other parent companies takle worlds in nosa ..absolute disgusting service...

No customer service. Very slow delivery

I placed my order and immediately noted a mistake in my order. I sent an email requesting an alteration or cancellation. I received an email 5 days later stating that is not possible and returns are required to be sent back via courier minus a 10% restocking fee. I received my order 19 days later. I assume this is a drop shipping service with a return policy that discourages returns. I won't be using this company again.

I wish I read before ordering

I wish I read before ordering, 16 days for jig heads and only get auto responses…. Tuesday only for customer support? WTF.
Absolutely hopeless, this place is like a pothole… do every thing to avoid it

I took them 13 days to process the…

I took them 13 days to process the order - then another week to arrive. Just 10 packs of jig heads. Tried to contact their customer service - only open a few hours each Tuesday. Terrible service - poor customer relations. Lots of better online shops to purchase from that care about their customers.

Shipping and Customer Service is terrible.

The goods are fine but the shipping and customer service is rubbish. Ordered something needing it in 2 weeks and assumed (wrongly) that it would arrive in time. I contacted after a week asking for an update and got a message a week later saying it was now shipped. It finally arrived after 3.5 weeks at which point I had bought another item since I had needed it 2 weeks after my order.

I contacted them again and asked for a full refund due to the slow shipping and they totally refused. Then asked for a cash refund with the restocking fee they insisted on taking out and they refused that too. Ended up having to send the items back and take the restocking loss to get store credit. They only have customer service one day a week so some of the questions I had took over two weeks to be answered.
They didnt acknowledge the return and I had to chase them up to get my store credit.

When I ordered my next item, knowing how shocking the customer service and shipping times were, I made sure to order it a month before I needed the item. It arrived 5 weeks later, again too late for when I needed it.

All in all, terrible customer service and shipping. Don't buy from them unless you're happy to wait at least 5 weeks to get the item.

Unfortunately, I cannot give a negative star rating. I highly reccomend you do not buy from this company.

I wish I could give a negative star rating. I strongly advise against purchasing from this company. My experience with their customer service was the worst I’ve ever encountered. They advertise shipping within five business days, yet two weeks after placing my order, nothing had been dispatched. When I reached out for an update, I received a generic response stating the order was “in processing,” with no estimated delivery date—and I was told I couldn’t cancel.

Due to the complete lack of meaningful communication and growing concern that I had been scammed, I contacted my bank to initiate a credit card chargeback. The order eventually arrived nearly a month later, but now, months on, I’m dealing with the fallout of the chargeback.
Instead of resolving the matter professionally, the company chose to immediately respond with hostile and threatening emails, accusing me of fraud and claiming they would report me to authorities. The irony is rich.

Update 030725: I’ve since received a further response from the company, and unfortunately, they continue to escalate the situation with baseless accusations. Even more concerning, they have now disclosed my personal information without consent— breaching multiple privacy laws. Their defamatory comments are knowingly false, and a simple review of the chargeback request date would confirm I had not received the goods at that time, nor any tracking updates. I have reported this harassing behaviour, for its breaches of consumer, Privacy and Criminal laws. And for those who dont know, on the 10th of June 2025, a new statutory tort for serious invasions of privacy has been introduced under the Privacy Act 1988, so on top of the criminal charges, this allows an individiual to sue for damages.
Update – 04/07/25: Immediately after my 03/07/25 update, this company removed my personal information — an admission that publishing it was unlawful. However, they continue to make false and defamatory claims, implying I lodged a fraudulent chargeback after receiving goods. This is completely untrue.
The chargeback was initiated before the order was dispatched, after a number of weeks with no meaningful updates. Their response is misleading and appears designed to damage my credibility rather than address their own failings.
I am pursuing formal complaints with the ACCC, the OAIC, and other regulators for breaches of consumer and privacy and criminal laws.

Hi Gaz. Assuming you are referring to order 118914, we can clarify what happened here. We shipped and delivered your order exactly as per our shipping policy provided on our website. Full order updates and tracking details were sent via email. You then decided to file a chargeback with your bank, despite us having photo and GPS proof from the Aramex driver that all items were delivered. When consulted about reversing the fraudulent chargeback, and you being unwilling to assist, we had to pass the chargeback case on to the relevant authorities. Hope this clarifies things. Slow service. Dodgy T&Cs.

Product, when it finally arrived, was OK. But misleading advertising as it did not come with all that was in the photographs. At the end of the written description was 'Does not come with'...)

Slow service. Took 11 days to be dispatched. Another tackle shop I used received the order and dispatched the same day. (same product)

Tried to cancel the order before dispatch but was told that was not possible. So I would have to pay postage and return it, when it eventually arrives. And then they claim you will receive a 'credit'. Not a refund. AND you will only get 90% of your money back as they will change a 10% 'restocking fee'. Spend $1K on a fancy electric reel and they'll charge you $100 to 'restock' it.

I will never use Davo's again and I do not recommend them.

Davo's reply was:

"We shipped order #120489 to you exactly as per the shipping policy provided on our website."...

I did not say you didn't do this. I said your service is very slow. 11 days to dispatch is slow service no matter what your policy says. I gave an example of good service. 5 Stars for sticking to your policy. 1 Star for a poor policy.

"The combo you ordered and recevied is exactly the combo pictured and described on our website."...

This is incorrect. The photo on your website of this combo clearly shows the hard case that is designed for the combo. Therefore it is not 'as shown'. And as I said in the review, what is delivered is not what is pictured and I also said in the review that at the end of the description are the words: 'Does not come with hard case.'

"Not sure how we could have done anything more in this case."...

What you could have done is dispatch promptly in line with your competition. No matter what your policy says, 11 days is slow. I am pointing out the facts of the service provided. Not arguing about your policy. What you could have done is posted a picture of the combo without the hard case as not to give customers the wrong impression. Despite what it might say in the description.

My one star review is because Davo's policy and approach to customer service from the outset is slow and not inline with other online retailers of fishing products.

The combo you ordered and received is exactly the combo pictured and described on our website. Not sure how we could have done anything more in this case.

Have a read of our shipping policy when you can Sean. Also, the image of the combo you ordered is exactly what was delivered. There is very clearly no travel case in the image. Suggest you check the image throughly before pruchasing in the future.

Delay in delivery

I placed an order two weeks prior to my departure date, (which I believed was a reasonable timeframe for processing and delivery—particularly as their website indicated the item was in stock at the time of purchase.)

Unfortunately, it took 10 days to process the order for dispatch, which ultimately resulted in it not being delivered on time. I contacted the customer service team on two occasions to advise that due to their delays in delivery, the order will arrive too late and that I wanted a refund once I had returned the item. I got a response to my email to advise that as I had changed my mind, I would receive an in-store credit of 90% of the value of my order.
