still not received items

Ordered just under a month ago in time for a trip. Still not received my items that were all listed in stock. Contacted cust care after 2 weeks of waiting. Got a generic reply a week later saying theres been delays and cant cancel, no other information and got sent their returns and refund policy. Its a bit hard to cancel within their time frame when any reasonable person would expect in stock items to be sent out "promptly" as their website states.

Trips now been and gone.
Will not purchase again, fingers crossed I actually get the items i ordered.

Thief who only cares about MONEY

Well well well what can I say.. I have ordered from Davo’s before and have never had a problem until now.. I’ve made an order 1 month ago and still have not received my items which are literally 8 small lures and I'm honestly very very disappointed with Davo’s Tackle. They claim their customer support hours are only Tuesday 8am-4pm which is absolute bullocks & i have emailed them and all I get is the same emails about not being able to cancel orders & return refunds due to it being after the ‘processing’ stage which is just a just a complete LIE. I honestly thought I’d never have to do this but this has become an absolute joke. I never write reviews but Davo has definitely hit a nerve with me and I definitely won’t ever be buying from Davo’s Tackle again because he obviously does not care about his customers and is a thief who cares all about MONEY.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!

Delivery that slow, and communication that bad..you think you're getting scammed!
Company lists item as 'IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP' So you purchase it thinking you're going to get it in the usual amount of time.
After a week you email them because you haven't heard anything, and they forward you to their delivery page which says item will be sent in 1 to 6 days.
But after that it says there may be delays!
So basically they've set their delivery terms and conditions up so they can send it whenever they want. And trust me.. It won't be anytime soon!
They won't let you cancel the order, like other companies would if they're in the wrong.
At one stage they sent me a reply email saying they can't tell me when they will send my package. (2 weeks after I ordered it).
They didn't send my item till I launched a PayPal dispute, and then they tried to blame it on a cyclone that had happened almost 3 weeks after I ordered the item. You'd think from all their bad reviews across multiple platforms, that they would get their act together.
Wish I saw all the bad reviews before I made a purchase!
Don't do it to yourself!!!!

Pay the extra couple of bucks and get your items in reasonable time.

I ordered a month prior to my fishing trip, and well, you know how this story ends.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. SHOCKING!!!

I recently had a disappointing online shopping experience. I placed an order and contacted customer service to change the lure color, but I received no response for over two weeks. Suddenly, I was informed that my items were already being packed and that no changes could be made once the order was processing.

I truly want to support Australian businesses, but the poor customer support and slow delivery times have been frustrating. I’ve even found that I can receive tackle faster from international suppliers. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication and order processing in the future.

I will not be buying from this store again. Maybe they don't care, but I presume they wont last long with that attitude, especially when people like me spend a lot online.

Horribly slow

Horribly slow, next to no customer service. Ordered a month in advance and still arrived a week AFTER the fishing trip was done. Wasted my money as I had to purchase items again in order to have them when needed. Never again.....

A Complete Customer Service Nightmare – Avoid at All Costs

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Davo’s Tackle and feel compelled to share my ordeal to warn other potential customers.
I ordered a Christmas gift for my daughter on December 14th, expecting a reasonable timeframe for delivery before Christmas. Instead, the item was only delivered on January 13th, almost a full month later — well past Christmas.

What makes this situation even worse is the abysmal customer service. Despite their claim of offering support one day per week, I was completely ignored. I made multiple attempts to contact them within days of placing my order to request a cancellation, as I had not received any updates. After being met with silence, I finally received a generic, automated response informing me that cancellations were "not possible," despite the fact that my order didn’t leave their facility until January 8th.

To top it off, their facility is only 600 kilometers away! A nearly month-long delivery for an in-stock item, with no transparency, no communication, and no effort to rectify the situation, is simply unacceptable.

This experience has been frustrating and upsetting. Davo’s Tackle’s complete lack of customer care and reliance on generic, automated replies show they have no regard for their customers. If you’re considering ordering from them, I strongly advise you to think twice.

Terrible, terrible service — definitely not worth the time, stress, or money.

Don't waste your time

I ordered an item on the 1st of January to allow ample delivery time to arrive by the required date of the 24th of Jan (17 business days) after their website promised "All orders that total over $120 will receive fully tracked, free and prompt shipping within Australia"... when I still hadn't received tracking on the 13th, I emailed their help desk (which is only resourced on a Tuesday) where I was advised my item was yet to be (promptly?) shipped. As this was now cutting it fine for my delivery date, I kindly requested express shipping. This would have been an excellent opportunity to turn my poor customer experience around, however I was unfortunately advised my item could not be expressed as it was in the "processing stage" (still not shipped). I received confirmation on the 16th that the item was finally (not at all promptly) shipped, 11 business days after making the order. You can imagine my absolute delight when the expected delivery date is now expected to be the 28th of January... 4 days after I need the item that I purchased 4 weeks in advance. I can now see by other reviews, this is common practice and absolutely disgusting consumer behaviour.

Don't buy from these fools

Ordered a pair a dive socks December 13 2024 and received 9th January 2025.
I'm unsure how these fools are still in business. Even their tracking is a fail.
Read their reviews and you'll wish you had before spending your money with them

Do not shop here.Terrible online shopping experience. Refused to cancel order despite several requests and product not being shipped yet. Unhelpful support that is only available on Tuesday between 8am-4pm. Order arrived while I was away because it took weeks to deliver. Worst refund policy : store credit -10% restocking fee only, daylight robbery.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE YOUR ITEMS ON TIME

Before buying from this seller, have a close look at their delivery/shipping page which basically says "you'll get it when you get it".
I ordered snorkel and flippers from here to give as a bday gift, leaving several weeks for delivery. My purchase went to 'processing' phase immediately (meaning I could not cancel the order). After receiving no updates for 2 weeks, I contacted Davos Tackle only to be directed to the vague shipping info on their website.
It was only when I got PayPal involved to request a refund for products not received that my shipment was finally sent.
DO NOT SHOP HERE.

Broken rod tip, wrong reel, bad support, etc

So many issues;

1. It took two weeks before it even left their warehouse.

2. Rod tip broken, over a week later still no help from their support about this. They ignored emails for days and now left at ‘looking into it’ and ‘forwarded to management’ without further word.

3. The reel is not the one pictured on their ads, emails and website! It’s a totally different reel to that pictured. Wish i could upload pictures here but basically they sent the single-speed-penn-fathomII reel but ALL their promotional material, emails and website listing clearly shows the newer DUAL-speed-penn-fathomII reel and all its features.

4. Their promotions offer it as a combo with line, but the line they give you doesn't even fill the spool half way, what a joke and very misleading. Obviously you would assume the line in the combo would be enough to use the combo.

5. Their lack of response at support is atrocious - they also claim to have 'not received any emails' when questions why i was ignored for 5 days. Total rubbish.

Horrible experience with them :( so unfortunate, I really thought they were okay.

Company to avoid.

Would not give any stars if possible. Ordered a rod and reel online. Items slow to arrive and when opened were damaged, reel and rod had chips out of them and rod had bent runner. Damaged pre packaging. Very difficult to contact customer service and when did told they would reimburse postage once goods sent back. I was sceptical but had no choice. Returned goods only to be told they would not reimburse postage so I am out of pocket $55, a quarter of the cost of the items!! Would definitely avoid this company. Some items available at the same price or cheaper at more reputable sellers.
