WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
Worst customer service ever. I did a manual request for a refund for a missing item that I ordered today but the app said I am not eligible and have to talk to live chat. Chat support said the same thing and does not provide detailed explanation as to WHY it is the case and have asked me to email support. Email support just gave up and said this "We hope we can welcome you back to Deliveroo in the near future" WTH right? Instead of trying to resolve the issue I was told to give up using the app which made me feel that I’m lying about it the missing item I reported. Does it sound right in any way?! What a bunch of bull. If the resto made a mistake fine the resto not the customers. It’s not like we want to have missing items in our orders. Why would we order in the first place if we didn’t want something. You have got to change. Read somewhere that it seems like you’re syndicates trying to take money from unsuspecting customers and I couldn’t agree more.

The worst food delivery system
The worst food delivery system. Rider picked up my order at 2240hrs and its 2am but still not yet delivered. The rider doesnt jave the courtesy to even respond to my query when I contacted him and teh message he only sent me was "[" what the hell was that suppose tp mean? Worst part is the amount I paid for was not refunded! I am literally pissed with this service!

If I could give less than one star I would. Food did not arrive after waiting for over an hour and deliveroo only told us AFTER we checked in on an order that says it's delivered. While we received nothing.
Deliveroo was dismissive and live chat customer service person, Rodmae Ann, literally left the chat after saying credits have gone in for my next order. No recovery service from Deliveroo for cancelling your dinner during dinner time.
Order only if you don't mind possibly eating credit refunds on Deliveroo app for your meals.

Missing items all the time then having to try to get in contact with someone and try to get a refund for the actual full amount.
They throw the blame to the restaurants then the restaurant throws the blame back to them its just ridiculous, they really need to sort it out.
Refusing to refund missing items
I had missing items on my order, I sent them all the information including photos of the order and the receipt. The system refused to refund the missing items. I went to the live chat asking why, and got no explanation. Just canned non-answers and no refund. They effectively steal your money and there is nothing you can do.

Bad customer service
A silly deliveroo rider came half way down my road stayed parked on a motorbike and expected me to go to him to collect the food. He did not bother even once trying to locate for the right address. He apparently tried calling me but the call never reached then when I went down the road he started telling me off! I complained to customer service who didn't really bother reading my complaint properly and kept saying you won't get a refund and I was like 'I AM NOT AFTER A REFUND'. They took the side of the incompetent driver and blamed me for not keeping an eye on the map when I was!! Instead of questioning the driver and saying why did you not deliver food to the door. Deliveroo is a service run by a complete bunch of morons.
Money not returned after no delivery
5 days ago I ordered at a restaurant via Deliveroo. The order did not arrive and since then I try to get my money back. Deliveroo tells me to speak to the restaurant. And the restaurant tells me to speak to Deliveroo. This is more than disappointing and scary, because what can you do?
Terrible customer service and misleading info on app
Terrible customer service. Food was not delivered but the system said food was delivered and even requested that I gave the driver a tip. I was not yet home, hence thought to give the driver maximum tip, since it was raining. When we got home, we realised that the food was not delivered. We texted customer service, which said that the driver's car broke down and they tried contacting us. I told them I did not receive any missed calls and asked what was the number that tried to contact me. They couldn't give me the number due to confidentiality reasons. Fair enough, but without evidence, I only trust my call history and I did not receive any missed calls. The deliveroo customer service had the cheek to say that they emailed us to inform that the delivery was unsuccessful. Upon knowing this, I checked and saw the emails. However, who would be 24/7 checking their emails to receive such notices especially when the app informs you that the driver has already arrived and even ask if I wanted to tip the driver? This is a fundamental flaw of the system that is very misleading, especially for those who ordered food early and have yet to reach home. Like other delivery services, the app should provide accurate messaging that the delivery was not successful, and when the driver cannot get through to the client, at least send a text msg to inform, instead of an email. Deliveroo has a lot to improve on its app and customer service. This is not my first time encountering a failed delivery with deliveroo. At least with another app, they had provided me with a voucher as a form of apology. But with deliveroo, there was nothing. Such a disappointment.

I had the worst experience ever while using this application. The customer service was atrocious and did not bother helping at all. I was charged for something I did not receive, deliveroo, you are an absolute scammer! The driver did not bother calling or sending a message when he arrived, there was a phone downstairs beside the gate, but he did not bother calling. I am extremely disappointed and upset with the service, this application is highly not recommended at all, please everyone, avoid this application as much as possible, everyone please use grabfood in the future, rest assured that your food ordered through grabfood will arrive on time and safely. I sincerely hope that deliveroo's business fails and result in a collapse :) I sincerely, too, hope that deliveroo fails and dies.

I would have loved to carry on doing business with deliveroo but after my last delivery and back and fourth asking for a refund or at least some compensation back I was finally insulted with 93p of my next order really when £33 worth of food was a disaster the date I did this review today is I won't be using deliveroo again if I'm not compensated it's a shame as I was hoping to be my regular food service but not after this incident happened 2 month ago I was giving them time to rectify this insult but nothing

I ordered a big mac meal for my son when it arrived there was no milkshake I contacted deliveroo and they gave me 60 pence credit the hole meal including delivery was £15 I contacted them again and they said it was fair amount what a joke they do it to most people i know who used to ordered from there Please stop ordering from them they are scamming so many people

Best customer service
No options to contact the driver and when contacted the customer service, it is a straight refund lol and the urgency (aka left the chat even before we can say anything lol) of the customer service center to end the conversation instead of solving the problem in an ethical way.
The customer service is really poor
The customer service is really poor. Basic service is fine BUT never sign-up for deliveroo plus. Cannot cancel on the website/app and when you email, they do not cancel. This kind of predatory behavior is really terrible.
They took my money and never delivered twice
2 weeks ago me and my wife ordered KFC for delivery, we waited over an hour, then it said it was delivered, but not to me it wasn't, this is the second time this has happened to me using Deliveroo. So I tried to call and contact them, what a waste of time this is they never answer their phones, so I emailed them with the order number and my details. I am still waiting for the refund which I know now I will never get as this company is a joke and I have deleted the app and will never use them again.
Unscrupulous Deliveroo
Some background about the issue, my unit number was omitted when I ordered some food online from Deliveroo and the transaction was about $140. In view of the missing unit no, the food didn’t reach me subsequently and they insist not to refund me when I got in touch with them via live chat and email. To add on,they simply brushed me off with these ‘SOP of waiting for 15 mins to call the recipient to get in touch with them if they have any queries’ explaination. The thing here is I DIDN’T receive any call from them and I tried to press the ‘call rider’ icon twice to track the delivery when it was taking abit too long but their system prompt some error messages and shortly after, the order was marked as ‘completed’.
