Insinuating Customer to be a liar!

ordered via Deliveroo app on 21/8/22 as I have broken my toe and wanted the comfort of having dinner delivered to me. Restaurant did not pack my kimchi soup properly. Deliveryman ditched food at my doorstep without ringing my doorbell. Soup was spilled over my door step and door mat. food was cold. Contacted Deliveroo customer service who refused to give full refund citing that the maximum proportionate refund of $25 out of my $45 order has been reached. And that the food delivered was edible. Also insinuated that I lied about the food being cold as the drivers were given insulated bags. Absolutely ridiculous service and terrible attitude from all parties involved. Expecting customers to pay for their incompetency.

Do not use this company it must end up…

Do not use this company it must end up going out of business for the sake of others. They managed to deliver with a driver that spoke any English. The order was half complete and after phoning we was told someone would contact us within 24hrs. 7 days later nothing all the agent was interested in was how she handled the call. So I paid for a service that was incomplete and they literally stuck two fingers up at me thanks deliverdont.

Driver marked the order as completed…

Driver marked the order as completed when I have not received anything. Contacted Deliveroo and they said the driver had spilt the drink and thus he couldn't deliver.

Deliveroo offered to redeliver a new order and I have been waiting for forty minutes with no further updates. Status just writes "preparing order". I couldn't get through the Order Help anymore as the app was lagging.

If its not for the $6 coupon code they provided me, I would be using trusty Grab. I'll be sticking to Grab for future food deliveries.

Paid and not delivered

Horrendous service. Ordered at 8. Kept changing time and assigning rider till restaurant closed. Wrote in no response until I cancelled order at 10pm because app states no refund and no credit when cancelled. End of Deliveroo for me. Not sure if they will really refund…will know when cc bill comes.

Fraudulent merchant making commissions from.services they do not deliver

Restaurants have charged me money and have not delivered. Deliveroo will never give you your money back. This should be marked as a fraudulent app since they tak commission from restaurants that charge you but do not deliver on the service for which they charge you. Even though payment is process through the app, deliveroo will NEVER give you your money back. They make profit from fraudulent transactions. You will be out of pocket and without the meal you have ordered through them.

Zero stars

Zero stars. Never recieved the food order but the confirmation email said it was delivered. Can't even leave a review for the delivery person because they're anonymous. Terrible company. Please improve it. Otherwise I hope they go bankrupt.

Just bad overall

Friday: groceries, not delivered despite the App notification saying it has been.
Sunday: food, missing 1 item
Monday: grocery, missing 3 items out of 12 because the stocks are not up to date.
So, nobody could say I didn’t try, and I think Deliveroo do not deserve more than 1 star

Takes 2 hours for delivery!!!

Takes 2 hours for delivery!!!! 2nd time experiencing it. No hotline to call and cannot cancel. Can only wait indefinitely.
Not gonna ever order from them again. Frustrating. Gotta reheat the food.
Other ordering platforms GF and FP very fast within 30mins.

Poor customer service and terrible app

Their ordering app and their customer service is awful. I placed an order but the app did not have the vilify to select no sauce nor the ability to leave a note for the restaurant. I then tried to cancel the order. I used the Deliveroo live chat for assistance canceling the order. They informed me there was nothing I could do and request that I try calling the restaurant. Then I was disconnected from the chat. I tried 2 more times to receive assistance and each time I was disconnected from the chat.

You will not get your food 30% of the time!

The concept is great the product is ****. They delete your account and all it’s settings out of nowhere which has happened twice to me. What really makes them useless is their inability to actually fill your orders. I waste at least 2 hours a week on waiting for orders that never actually get accepted or delivered. If you are a good delivery app, customers shouldn’t spend a couple hours a week not getting food they ordered and then telling them that their time, level of hunger, and overwhelming inconvenience that they keep on causing is worth a $5 voucher (which they give about 5% of the time this happens). Minimum wage is more than $5 but yet several hours of my time because your app is **** is worth $5? Too much competition out there, user beware. 50/50 whether the food you ordered will actually show up, and after it doesn’t show up they assure you they aren’t going to charge you for food they can’t deliver 🤣. Joke of an app and business, who should fire the entire customer support team robots as well. I do not think they actually hire many people for customer support but rely on AI to keep on giving you the same pre-canned messages over and over again. It’s literally the most infuriating thing someone can deal with when they are having a problem with their order. Seriously do not waste your time with them.

Terrible platform

Order kfc breakfast 4 next day. Initially two transaction didn't get thru so I have to cancelled. Finally managed to order but the order never arrived. Call kfc directly n the staff say they don't accept deliveroo order for kfc. IF it is not available why is it there in the first place. Totally disappointed!

Quite possibly the worst transactional experience I've ever had

Placed an order that was just straight up never picked up by the deliverer. That by itself is worth 1 star, but the fact that deliveroo is making me jump through hoops just to get a refund on the order that was NEVER delivered is what really makes it for me. Never again. This was a harsh lesson, Deliveroo is not worth the light of day and needs to either shut down their business or start actually caring about customer retention.

Buyers Beware

The order I placed tonight (09 Feb 2022) did not arrive at my address. That is not ideal, but still understandable - mistakes, accidental wrong deliveries happen.

The bad experience lies in the Customer Service Live Chat. When contacted, the Live Chat agents did verification, then mentioned that no refund is possible. This is again not ideal, as from my perspective, I just paid $22.00 for no delivery. What is infuriating is that all 3 of the Live Chat agents refused to provide even cursory reasons why there is no refund. It did not help that they were clearly selecting lines off a standard list of responses, where different agents repeated the same lines, all of which were seemingly designed to convey as little explanation as possible. The Live Chat agents' determined non-engagement directly caused increasing annoyance instead of calming down and winning back what was initially only a somewhat irrate customer.

I have been a Deliveroo Plus customer for years, and had my fair share of wrong or damaged orders. I remained a subscriber as mistakes are to be expected - I understand, even if I am annoyed. However, the Live Chat agents' systemic refusal to engage a customer as a fellow intelligent being, the refusal to even attempt to let the customer understands the reason behind a decision, is disappointing.

I have no desire to order from Deliveroo again.

We needed to cancel an order we made…

We needed to cancel an order we made straight after it was placed as I made a mistake. It was due to come the following evening. There was absolutely no way of cancelling. We could not cancel or amend order through the app or website. Emails were not answered and there is no phone number. I will not use this service again as it is unreliable. Our food showed up the following day and I still have not had my emails answered. Really crap service, and I never leave bad reviews but felt I should for this experience.

Horrendous customer service support who…

Horrendous customer service support who are mostly located overseas, hence they can’t do much service recovery from the other end of the continent. Hard to contact any agent for help- especially when the chat function on the app is down, no contact number available readily online, email support is slow to response for urgent matters. Essentially, an orchestrated and a deliberate attempt by deliveroo in making it extremely difficult for its customers to reach to Deliveroo representatives. And riders apparently can pick up your food and decide halfway through his journey that he would not to deliver it. 🙄
