The products undoubtedly look and probably are very good quality. A young lad quietly spoken came to the door. He seemed quite nervous and had a script to speak. I went to the van and the real fast talking lad took over. He. Showed me everything very professionally. He was pleasant and personable. But I did feel obliged to buy something and ended up buying stuff for my bbq despite me telling him several times I didn’t have freezer room and couldn’t afford to bulk buy. I ended up spending £100 which I really don’t want to spend. Good sales? Or pressure selling?

Very cheerful and knowledgeable salesman, wasn't pushy but gave me time to think and decide. Bought one box and cooked some tonight - really good quality and excellent flavour.

The salesman was nice and he was training someone, not really a problem with the salesperson. But I think the product wasn’t up to my standard and expectations. I think I make better fishcakes and the haddock wasn’t very flavoursome. Hence 3 stars.

Tom was courteous, personable and spent time showing us the products. He was also very patient and waited while we assessed the freezer space available. We have not yet had the opportunity to try the chicken and king prawns we bought, but they looked very good.

I enjoyed the haddock florentine. A nice piece of tasty fish with a delicious sauce. What makes it special is that the coating didn’t become soggy or burnt thanks to the freezing method, it remained crisp. Thank you David

The food looks amazing - David was very knowledgeable and the choice and variety of foods was excellent. The only problem was to decide what to buy. It’s good to know that there is good quality food you can see and buy at your doorstep.

There are a lot of good reviews as well as bad ones, so I'll try to give perspective. It's true that cold calling can be annoying, but I find a simple thanks I'm not interested should be enough, however, this sounded interesting. The food on offer is advertised as premium, so that will imply a higher price, so with that in mind....Aaron called at the door, he was stood well back, introduced what he was doing and because it was food, I decided to hear him out. He showed me various offerings frozen in boxes and decided on the fancy looking lamb parcels. There were 10 in the box so £6.50 each, not cheap, so we are expecting a premium experience. My wife and I had a pie each and they both cooked well. They came out a nice golden colour, cooking instructions and ingredients are on the box, the lamb was generous and tender, good flavour and enough gravy in the pie. Was it worth £6.50? Maybe, but good meat isn't cheap, the pie was presented well and we both are looking forward to the next one, so far, so good. There's a possibility we may buy again and try something else.

Below average meat for above average prices. The lad who came to my door was polite and well-mannered. From this point on the positives end. I was taken by surprise and ended up buying a box of rump steaks for £82 and change. Based on weight it works out to £40 per kilo which is an extra premium price for a cheaper cut of meat. I knew i screwed up before he even left but I'm an agreeable person and i think this is 95% of their strategy: to surprise nice agreeable people in their homes on a day off work or an evening. The steaks themselves are not tasty at all even when panseared with garlic butter to my preferred doneness level. If I bought this for way cheaper at LIDL or Aldi I'd still not be pleased because even for a relatively cheap cut it's still not up to par. Even at discount grocery shops the meat is better quality especially if you buy fresh not frozen. Before a rep of theirs tells me about how to properly cook a steak, save it. I know my way around a steak, I know how to pansear, sous vide and grill a good steak. Your product is subpar. The lad quickly pulled out a tonne of boxes and I think that's another strategy: look how much work I've done and how many products I've shown you, you should feel obligated to buy something. Now I'm stuck with another 8 steaks I will dread eating. I will make something like tacos or mince out of it, do not even attempt to cook it rare or medium rare like i would with most steaks, the taste is not good. You should be ashamed of yourselves peddling this in neighbourhoods. I cannot comment on the fish because I did not buy it and god forbid I ever deal with this company again.
Edit: on the advice of the rep who responded to my review, in emailed the customer support 6 days ago. I have not had any acknowledgement yet. As of today, it is 14 days exactly since the purchase which is the cutoff date for returns.

I have been a customer of Dining Solutions for over 10 years. Antony (1519) regularly brings new food products for me to try.
All products bought over this long period have been of high quality and generally works out cheaper than supermarket. All products come with suggested cooking details, which if followed give great results.

The fish and meat dishes from this company are amazing. Definitely worth the money.
Steak /mushroom pies and scampi are the best. It's always a pleasure to see John with his van full of goodies 😋

Driver seemed polite and explained the wares in offer. I guess the proof will be in the eating.... seemed OK though. Don't normally buy from the door but all seemed OK.

Tony was very proffesional and new his stuff. Nice to have a delivery in our little village. However, we are pensioners and boxs of 12 are too big and expensive. I did but some lovely chicken though and will consider some fish when more room in freezer

After a chance meeting with one of Dining Solutions Direct Reps I was thrilled when a few days later he delivered my order the Mahi Mahi was well packed good sized fillets they pan seared in seasoning and packed with a mouthwatering juicy flavour also the Rump steaks nice and lean and melt in the mouth tender I will be ordering again soon
