Got new windows fitted yesterday would just like to thank Martin the salesman for going above and beyond for helping with blinds and father and daughter who fitted the windows

Firstly, Direct Windows offer amazing value for money. Importantly, anyone involved turned up at the correct time and location and I was treated with respect at all times from this brilliant team. The actual fitting was done seamlessly by a charming gentleman who was friendly and courteous. A rock solid installation and no mess left behind. Would use again, definitely. A*****

We, as a large family, have all used this company repeatedly over the last 10 years or more with no issues.

Unfortunately, this is the last time we will use them, as we have no confidence in their ability to provide a great service anymore. And off our recent experience, our friends and family have been warned.

Terrible customer service - a complete lack of communication or urgency to resolve issues and complaints. Sometimes things go wrong, but the customer should not have to constantly chase the supplier to find out what is happening.

It took over 8 weeks to rectify issues and mistakes, we had to take multiple days off work and some fitters were not arriving at the time they were booked in. So be aware, if you’re told they will arrive after 12 noon, they may arrive before that time and not return at the agreed time, if you so happen to be at work or elsewhere when they arrive. Direct Window Co should not book a time and then state they have no control over the fitters when things go wrong!

Ultimately, at this moment, the problems have been rectified and a small discount was offered and received.
I say small, because it does not cover anywhere near the time and money we lost from staying off work. It is a gesture for our “inconvenience”, and this was only offered after a second written complaint.

I would not recommend this company any more, and we will not be using their services again.

The buying experience was excellent from start to finish and the installation of my window was great and the fitter John was very friendly top job.

From the salesman to the surveyor & then the fitters, they were all very professional, friendly, polite & did an excellent job. No hard sell, very thorough survey & took extra time on the job so that the recent new rendering wasn't damaged. The quality of the products was excellent ( windows, patio doors & front door) & look fabulous! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They turned up early than anticipated but two great guys.
Polite respectful of property too.
Just our ponytail knocker wasn’t in stock so hopefully we will meet them both again next Monday.
Hope they got there flat tyre sorted, we lent them and pump to get them to the garage.

found direct windows co through their website and ended up liaising with their sales team over the phone ahead of visiting the Preston showroom. My entire experience was great. The website has amazing capabilities to visualise products and the customer service both over the phone and at the showroom was so good, alongside the surveyor & fitting service. Door was fitted quickly and looks amazing and feels very secure.

Wonderful experience from sales to fitting. My particular requirements for a door come fire escape were met with due attention to detail and achieved with great success. Could not rate Direct window more hoghly

This company is definitely a joke! We bought a new house (Story Homes) and the windows and French door supplied and fitted by them. Several window handles broke within 2 years (Yale brand, the cheapest one on the market) They replaced them under warranty and recently I replaced one of them (out of warranty) with Smith & Locke (from Screwfix) what a quality difference, you can't believe! French door glass was replaced several times. (faulty internal seal) they fitted 2-3 glasses with internal and external scratches and finally they fitted the proper one! 2 window glasses had condensation issue (faulty seal) I'm still waiting for replacement one of them on French door. French door small windows had 2 different types of hinge system and they replaced one of them to make them similar. They always deliver a faulty or wrong size replacement glass, cancel appointment due to engineer's availability, etc... If I don't work from home once a week, how can I manage 10 appointment in a year!

Update: I had a call from one of Direct Window Co. manager 20/09/2024. He insisted that their company is not a joke, but my experience is totally different. He didn't let me to speak and requested to delete my review. He thinks that my action is unprofessional. He didn't even apology to a customer after a several bad experience and he was so angry. He hung up the phone on me whilst I'm still talking. It's your decision to work with this kind of company.

Update 2: I had appointment for today 18/10/2024 and I had a call from Direct Window Co. around 11:30 am. They explained that replacement glass unit has scratch therefore we booked another appointment to 29th Nov. I'm assuming this is the 4th or 5th appointment for same glass. I only work from home on Fridays.

Adam arrived on time and completed the instalation quickly and efficiently was very pleasant and cleaned up following completion highly recommended .

Mike was easy to communicate with and very nice man. Brilliant fitter.

Absolutely terrible avoid at all costs. We bought a new house and the windows and doors supplied and fitted by these. We have had to have half replaced. Patio. Door and frame replaced, windows wouldn’t open because the handles were on wrong. The customer services don’t seem to half a clue what is going on. Impossible to get anything fixed.

One star for the very poor response to a couple of scratches on the door they fitted, I sent in photos as asked and in chasing up I was asked to be patient and it was being dealt with !!
Rubbish as nobody as been out to see the door or even contacted me since !
Door otherwise is lovely but beware of the after sales service
