Donedeal is great but I tell you there are some dodgy NCTs being given out in Tipperary. We've seen 3 €2-3k cars today in Tipp, all with new NCTs and they all drove like old dogs that needed to be put... Ver más

Very good only thing I didn't like was there were a lot of ads saying POA which was annoying i would like it if it had the option the turn them off but everything else very good

That's a serious concern and we take it genuinely. While we can't verify every seller's claims, there are steps you can take to protect yourself. A Greenlight History Check on any car you're interested in will flag mileage discrepancies and give you a clearer picture before you commit.

GOOD HONEST EXPERIENCE

Following initial phone call to the vendor, he was very honest and sent me a video of the car, pointing out the various good things and not so good
Price was agreed upon and when Alex heard that i was travelling quite a distance he knocked another 100 euros off the price. We are very happy with the vehicle.

Waste of money and time

I tried to sell my car in a price way lower that the average, my car was showing on the top of the list if you sort by lower to higher prices with same make and model. No contact at all except one time waster who offered half of the advertised price. I send it to a local dealer who bought it in the as same price on donedeal.ie .
For me it was waste of money.

It's worth knowing that dealers browsing DoneDeal are often looking for exactly what private sellers have, so in a way the platform did connect you with a buyer, just not in the way you expected.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE TO BUY CARS

We seen a car advertisement and we went and met a man we thought was legit about selling his car. It was for our son who needs a car for college and work. My son paid a lot of money that he saved up for over a year. Within a few days of having the car problems started we fixed the car put it back on the road now it has major problems and it has gone in to limp mode. We’ve ordered parts worth over €1000 to try to get the car back in working condition. I’ve tried contacting the seller who has now blocked me. When we first bought the car I asked the man straight out is there any problems with the car as it’s for our son he said no that it never gave him any of bother. Clearly this is not true, why can’t DoneDeal check who’s putting up ads on their site. This man is now selling 2 other cars on the site again most likely going to scam more people. It’s an utter disgrace!! How can I trust this site going forward people should be extremely weary
