This was my first time buying glasses online and I probably won't do it again. The glasses don't fit well. They slip down and hurt my ears. Also one of the two pairs I received had a small flaw where the lenses were fitted, which just seems like there is poor quality control. Also, having to pay for the glasses and then claim on my insurance was not as convenient as purchasing from a hicaps provider. The process was still easier than parking and going to a shopping centre in December though. Given I ordered right before christmas, the delivery was a lot faster than I expected.

I have dealt with Dresden for six plus years both in NZ and Australia and continue to be impressed by the consistent professional and friendly service provided by all staff.
Nothing is ever too much trouble, if an error it is made, they immediately own it and it is remedied quickly and without fuss. I look forward to doing future business with Dresden. On top of that the product is fabulous and extremely excellent value for money…

I love the frames so much - I have many pairs. They are really durable and are not fragile so can get knocked around without worry.

I broke my glasses recently and went to the Newtown store.The frames were replaced free of charge ( 10 yr warranty) and in under 5 min!!
Very happy and both the girls were polite and very friendly.

From the booking, seeing the optometrist and then receiving my glasses quicker than expected I found the experience very positive. I was disappointed that there was inly one frame shape but have recently seen you have introduced another shape. Looking forward to a wider variety of colours in that style including aqua and brighter green (if I can be so bold). Also have referred friends who ask me how I can afford so many colours in my frames, silly them forget to use my referral.

Absolutely love these guys! Both my husband and I have been Dresden customers for many years and are avid fans of their fab frames, and overall concept.
We moved away from Newtown, Dresden's OG home several years ago so now we only make online orders but that's as easy and efficient as in store. Customer service is great, easy and straightforward.
I highly recommend Dresden for cool, quirky specs and a wonderful price

Really great glasses, always right prescription, colours are fabulous. The only thing is the lack of shapes. Although a new one is around, I wish there were more. Like rectangle. I have about 12 pairs of the original shape, it's not quite the right shape neither is the new round one but a cross between the original and rectangle would be fabulous. I would buy an extra 12 of that. Cobalt blue bright cobalt that would be fabulous.

I’ve mentioned this before, but would love a couple of more traditional blues in your range, such as a navy or cobalt blue. Most of the blues in your range (other than the sky blue) have a yellow (warm) base, which does not work well with my skin tone (a deep winter, if you know anything about colour for skin tones). A red-based (cool) blue would be much appreciated.

Would also like to have the option to order only lenses, without frames, as I have so many frame colours and really don’t need another every time I update my prescription.

It was such a great process for me to have both my eye test and frame order done so efficiently. The frames suit a lot of people. I ended up ordering three pairs of glasses (including polarised sunglasses) and put in an order for multifocals. Thanks for emailing me a copy of the script. The frames are light and look great. Have referred a few friends over to Dresden. So worth it! Definitely coming in again to order more.

Love Dresden. And now I get two frame types altho I trust this is not the thin edge of the wedge leading to a multitudinal array of choices, which is of course the very reason one does Dresden in the first place...
