ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL PRODUCT AND SERVICE. Bought van roof racks which have locks to prevent people tampering with the screws... But this lock can be removed by hand with no serious effort at all. There were parts missing from the box I'd ordered and the company waited what seemed like forever before sending out the roof rack I'd ordered.

When I'd complained about this, they refused to acknowledge it was their mistake to send the parcel out, refused to offer to take it back for a refund and completely ignored a rather lengthy email I sent hoping they would have some kind of spine within the company to take it back, even at my cost.

Don't just take my word for it, I made a mistake and ordered without checking reviews. I'm making this review in the hopes that people will see it and avoid ordering from these people.

No doubt they'll respond to this review with some regurgitated bull, with no real care whatsoever.

Purchased rear roof spoiler and roof bars for my transit custom.
Roof bars discolouration and stain after washing,after every wash have to use a metal polish to remove marks.
Now my roof spoiler that came gloss black ,one side has doubled in size and swollen in the sun.
It's bonded to my vehicle,so now removal and spray costs to cover.
Phoned DST,the response well we don't know what you have done to it or how you have used it.
It's been on the van like it's meant to have been,but poor quality is going to cost me dearly!!!!

Found Air 2 roof bars on the web site for my Skoda. Price was good, delivered exactly on schedule and product was of good quality and easy to fit. No problems at all. Did not need customer service at all.

Ordered a Sportline Style Front Lower Splitter for my VW T5. When the parcel arrived, I opened the box just to give a quick glance over that it had arrived in one piece and kept it in the box ready to take for the respray and fitting.

The respray had to get rescheduled, but when the work was being completed a couple of months later, the chap informed me that he could not work with this level of poor quality.

How this item made it through quality control, it looks like it has been moulded as a child's school project.

Contacted their support who were not interested as I should have checked the contents on receipt. Which is true, but the box was undamaged and a look inside shown it was undamaged. I was not expecting it to look like it was moulded in a large ice cream mould!

DO Not Buy From This Company. Send the £20 or so more to get quality elsewhere. I have now lost £122!

Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever encountered. After multiple phone calls about an existing order, between the customer service team they couldn’t decide on what any of them had said and wouldn’t honour what was agreed on previous phone calls. DO NOT ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY

Roof bars substandard. Purchased less than a month ago and badly discoloured after one wash. At the hand car wash some wax was sprayed on the van and within 5 minutes they looked like they were about 50 years old. Not had that before with roof bars. These are of poor quality which is why they are cheap. DST showed no interest - ‘must be the products you’re using’ err no it’s your roof bars which are the issue, they are finished poorly and are substandard. AVOID !!!!!

Really bad experience with side steps. Did not fit my car but when ask for a refund, was told i had to pay for it a a cost of £54. Not worth the hassle and now i am left with junk. DO NOT TRUST. NEGATIVE NEGATIVE.

Wanted to order roof rails for car,website state not compatble with my car,so I telephoned them and they sent some roof rails. These were the ones they stated not suitable. However,they stated there was an error so they would send another set and collect the parcel previously sent. Waited all day never turned up,sent email and reply was that the rails were correct so they refuse a refund. I am now left with a pile of scrap and £70 short,- fraud_

Simply awful order the part 10 days ago took my van to the garage on the Monday to pick up on the Friday go to the garage on Friday nothing there. Rang up Friday morning told another won’t be dispatched that day so I left the van there so you could be fitted on Monday since it has been sent next day delivery which I paid for. Here we are Monday nothing came other than an email saying it was been dispatched today today?

I have no words to express how DST Automotive was dealing with me and my issue. I have ordered cross bars for my Peugeot Rifter. Unfortunatelly, they've sent me the wrong model.

After a short very pleasant phone conversation, they told me to take a picture of what was in the box and after a short while, they sent me the model that I wanted in a first place.

That package arrived with a DX Delivery company earlier with my new, more sofisticated cross bars and it was very easy to work out everything.

I can highly recommend DST Automotive based on my experience that I had and their excellent dealing, fast delivery and correspondence regarding my issue.

Bought wind deflectors for my 2006 Vivaro van, they came swiftly and very well packaged. No damage, seem well made, I was informed enough via email of the delivery process by their courier DX Freight. Overall a positive experience and I would buy from them again.

Bought a rack and cross bars for a Renault Trafic. Firstly the rubber mounting blocks were missing. Told now deleted and not needed. The rack does not fit the roof profile without these.
Secondly the rails do not extend to the front mounting brackets over the cab as my last rack did.
Thirdly the 3 crossbars were all 2cm too long and needed cutting down.
Fourthly the crossbars are only less than 1CM off the roof so the lightest weight causes the bars to hit the roof. Likely down to the deleted mounting rubbers that would have lifted it up.
All in all it’s just decorative rubbish and a complete waste of money. Told they sell loads every week so there must be a lot of dissatisfied customers. I sent an email to advise after fitting and no response so this is my advice to other customers. Check out other similar reviews about these racks. It’s a pity I can’t upload photos.

First thing to note, I'm not a serial reviewer,and expect the product and service i have paid for to be of a decent standard..so after a year of owning a set of x bars, I managed to both break a foot, and lose a rubber gasket..following a phone call to an excellent informed member of their staff, who asked me to send photos of the lost/damaged parts,this resulted in the new replacements being sent out to me FOC.
I can confirm an excellent product at an excellent price...but the after sales is refreshingly brilliant.. well done, gold star!

Dreadful company. Still haven't received my roof bars. Sent e-mails, left voicemails, but no reply. The courier they use is also awful, when you try to contact them they don't answer the phone or respond to e-mails. I paid extra for delivery within 1 to 2 days, and 4 days later I'm still wondering if or when I might see them. Some companies make it an absolute pleasure to do business with, this isn't one of them.

Bought sleek roof rails for my 2018 traffic, received a generic roof rail with adapters that didn’t fit, six mild steel bolts and some silicone provided to secure the rack, nothing like the picture, no mention of six inch plastic packing that didn’t fit in the gutters or with the rack itself, such poor quality, rang dst and told “ its out best selling product” guessing a lot of leaky unhappy customers out there, please avoid this product made in deepest darkest china.

Purchased a roof rack from them for my short wheel based transporter,
It was cheap rubbish i put x2 pieces of wood on it and the bars flexed and bounced around like jelly, the roof rack is unusable
do not buy this unless you want to only carry x1 length of 15mm copper pipe

What a waste of £213.16

I purchased a bonnet wind deflector for my dads transporter. As it was a gift I didn’t look at the product when it arrived. A week later upon handing the present over we notice it was broken on the corner.
Spoke to Rosie Taqvi about the issue and she was more than helpful with quick responses.
The issue is now resolved and a replacement product is on the way

Great quality, easy to install, and look as good as the Thule ones costing more than twice the price.
Fast delivery, good communications from DST and the courier, arrived as promised and well packaged.
No instructions, but after fitting I noticed the QR code for instruction video. They are so easy to fit, won't need the instructions anyway.

Purchased roof rails and cross bars for my 2020 swb citroen berlingo. Rails fitted okay but the cross bars were too long, I had to cut with angle grinder to make them work. I tried to leave a review on there website and they did not publish. Bad customer service.
