Utterly Appalling Service - Don’t Waste Your Money – Buy a Shark Instead
This has been one of the most frustrating and disgusting experiences I’ve ever had with any company. My Dyson Submarine attachment developed its second fault. Dyson arranged collection and even emailed to confirm they had received it — yet a week later I was emailed to say my repair had been cancelled.
When I called, the escalation team insisted I “hadn’t returned the machine,” despite Dyson’s own written confirmation that they had it. Since then, I’ve hit a brick wall at every turn. I’ve been denied access to a manager, told I’d get a call within 24–48 hours (still waiting, weeks later), and I’ve phoned daily to the same powerless frontline agents who can’t actually resolve anything.
I’ve emailed customer services, the Head of Customer Service and nothing. No one takes ownership, no one follows up, and no one seems remotely interested in helping.
At this point, Dyson has my machine and my money, and I have nothing but endless excuses and silence. For a company that trades on innovation and quality, their customer service is an absolute disgrace.
My next step is to raise a case with the Consumer Ombudsman and send a Letter of Action. Judging by the other reviews on here, this might be the only way forward to get any answers.
Save yourself the stress AND your hard earned money — BUY A SHARK instead. They CARE about their customers.
Great company initially
I have just bought a Dyson animal to replace my original one which my cleaner broke. What a difference. They have always been heavy but this one seems to have achieved the impossible, feels heavier but smaller and more plasticky.
It says you can return it in the original box. It took me an hour to get it all out so me chance of getting it back in the complicated packaging. I’m afraid that it will be consigned to the bin. This won’t upset Dyson as I notice that they have not bothered to respond to criticism here. It was a great company but now seems to be tacky

Good luck getting your refund back, despite sending the item back within return period of 35 days in fact I sent it next day after receiving the vacuum as the performance was like a joke, 5min and the battery died. Do not trust Dyson as a company and DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! You won’t see your money again and the customer service won’t help you with anything. The product is rubbish, customer service is even worse and the ethics in this company non existent! I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO AVOID SHOPPING WITH THEM!

Ordered a dyson airstraight 3 weeks…
Ordered a dyson airstraight 3 weeks ago, contacted them after 10 days to see when it was being dispatched. They said I would hear from them within 48hrs, surprisingly, I wasn't, so I contacted them again, same response. Now after 3 weeks, I messaged on facebook to be told my order was cancelled! No reason and no previous communication to tell me this, only me instigating an answer. Waiting on a refund now and will order elsewhere. Disappointing customer service from start to finish.
Dyson sucks.. but not in a way it should!
I’ve always respected Dyson for their innovative products, which is why I placed an order with confidence. Unfortunately, the customer service experience I’ve had has made me seriously reconsider ever buying from them again.
I ordered two items, but only one was delivered. Despite the delivery window having passed, I spent over two weeks trying to get a clear update on the missing Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute — with no success.
I contacted customer service multiple times and received vague, unhelpful responses and no resolution.
What made the situation worse was the complete lack of communication. I had to chase for answers, and no one seemed to know when (or if) the missing item would arrive. It felt like I was being ignored.
Eventually I received a half assed email from Dyson support stating that the issue had been shared with the “Internal Team”. Once again, no new helpful information was provided.
In the end, I had no choice but to cancel the undelivered item and request a refund.
Their response was to the point “your refund will be processed…”, No remorse and no accountability.
It’s incredibly disappointing when a brand known for quality products delivers such poor service. I expected more from Dyson. Great technology means little if the customer support behind it is this unreliable.

I am almost crying reading all the bad reviews. I have had such a disgusting service from this company, Dyson that I have been buying upright vacuum cleaners from for years. I bought some filters online with a standard delivery of 10 days ?! Found this strange. Not received anything yet and called them three times now and still nothing - first excuse, there’s delays and I should have been told 14 days - second call- stuck order and it would be escalated- wait 48 hours, third call, someone will call me - I think not - this is disgusting and should be made known publicly. I am seriously thinking to stop buying dyson products ever again, so frustrated .
A company that is selling over priced products and earning millions if not billions and their customer support is absolutely horrendous. They are a big fraud.
I almost sent my vacuum to them for service which I didn’t even think I needed, but was being forced to, I cancelled on them and thank God that I did otherwise I would have been left without a vacuum like others complaining about this ludicrous company- fraudsters ! Ps They don’t even deserve one star!

I bought a Dyson upright Vacuum cleaner - the Dyson Ball Animal and the hose jammed and it wouldn't function properly.
I returned it to the store I bought it from and got a replacement and the same fault happened again....sent it back to Dyson for repair and it came back all dismantled...and the same fault happened again.
Sent it back again with a note attached to the item ( and also via Facebook) asking them to send it back to me complete and ...you've guessed it was all dismantled and surprise surprise it was jammed again, despite assurances from Dyson that I would receive it back in full working order and in one piece.
Yet another complaint to Dyson who offered to send me a new like for like, which I refused as its obviously an ongoing fault and fortunately I managed to get a refund from where I bought it from.
It must be costing Dyson a small fortune having faulty items collected and returned, which are still faulty and unusable.
Having used Dyson products in the past without any problems....this item is a big problem and needs addressing.

I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I made an expensive purchase online last Wednesday, over the phone, and I never received any update about my order, even though I was offered next-day delivery. On Friday, I called to check on the purchase, and the person who answered told me that the item had been sold to me by mistake, that it was actually out of stock, and they canceled my order — even though I was already on the pre-order list and had paid. The person canceled it without my authorization.
On Friday, I was told someone would get back to me to complete the purchase again, and no one ever followed up. This is a complete lack of respect! I am in shock!

My daughter an 18 year old student spent nearly £400 on a ridiculous hairdryer (despite my reservations) sent back via DPD following their returns process. I have a Dyson vacuum machine, which stops working after 5 min . The machine becomes very hot and stop.
I cleaned it well and tried again. The same stop working after 5 min .
I call customer service, they advised they can pick the machine, but cost £100 just to pick the machine then depends on the problem.
I said I rather buy new one than spend £100 just to pick the machine for investigation.
The person who answered was not in Uk and he couldn’t tell me more than just to pick the machine.

My Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer started cutting out after two years. I contacted Dyson who after troubleshooting decided it needed a repair. After over an hour on the chat, with them telling me originally it was under warranty and then after I agreed telling me it was out of warranty and I’d need to pay £90 for it to be repaired the repair was eventually booked.
DPD came and collected the parcel in a box which would accommodate a hoover, with no packaging or anything. I was told by the driver that I couldn’t put it in a different box as it had to be in the one they sent.
It was collected and I have heard nothing since. No tracking was sent to me, Dyson have not contacted me.
I contacted Dyson to ask about where my repair was. In answer they don’t know. No one can tell me where my £350 hairdryer has gone since it was collected by their courier. DPD won’t help me as there’s no tracking number for it, Dyson just fob me off with they’ve escalated with DPD & their repair team and I should ‘get a reply’ in six working days. There is no apology, no remorse. I will not be using this company again.
Dyson-buyer beware
Ordered a vacuum cleaner direct from Dyson, on arrival didn’t work. I contacted their “customer services”( that’s a joke) and they diagnosed the main power pack and send a replacement, on arrival still didn’t work and on contacting the customer disservice they diagnosed the battery as being faulty
and offered to send another battery,since there are on
three parts I did offer to join their production line. They then offered a replacement which later turned out to be a lesser and cheaper model. I complained about this and was offered an upgrade which within a minute was retracted. In all I made 7 calls to the customer disservice disservice department without success. So now I’m sitting without a hoover and totally disappointed in Dyson. My advise to anyone thinking of obtaining a hoover is look elsewhere
