The switch was easy
The switch was easy, although the error messages on the form was a bit confusing.
The initial communication was really good but I didn’t get any message to say that my old number had migrated successfully. I was still giving out the temporary number until someone read back my old number as the one dialled from. Otherwise very simple.

Just brilliant
As a massive believer in their cause, I wanted to give Ecotalk a try and I'm so glad I did. I've had a couple of interactions with customer services due to lost phones, etc. - nothing service related. It's refreshing to have genuinely helpful people do what they say they are going to do and so quickly too. The big networks could learn a thing or two!

Good for nature and my wallet!
I was at the end of my contract and was keen to do something positive for wildlife conservation so I switched to Ecotalk. It was so easy and the team was so helpful. I have halved the cost of my monthly contract for an equally good service (through EE) with the added pleasure of knowing my payments are supporting nature recovery.

Poor service on data and roaming when abroad
I started a contract with Ecotalk in July. I was very exited to use a mobile network that could give back to the natural world. Unaware of the data policy abroad, I quickly run out of data and roaming. I called A british number 4 time in 14 day time and, despite they say they have unlimited text and data for UK numbers I have been charged £2 per day. One day they charged me £2 because I called Ecotalk to have explanation on how to proceed. The call didn't go trough, nevertheless they charged me £2. They charge you just if you push the green button! After calling them few times, they refunded me £4 for the unsuccessful calls at least.
Regarding the data; I did try to use it but It never worked, nor to send WhatsApp messages not to consult internet. It was working only when I was connected on a Wi-Fi or using my wife hotspot. Nevertheless I have been charged. Substantially they charged me for the service that a different provider was giving me. It is disappointing to find out that you can be charged so easily for a service that doesn’t work properly. Be careful if you use your phone abroad.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry that your first experience of using Ecotalk abroad was frustrating, particularly when your roaming data wasn’t working as you expected.
We’re pleased we were able to refund the £4 relating to the unsuccessful calls, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We’d also like to clarify the £2 daily charge, as we appreciate our roaming arrangements may not have been clear. All our bundles include unlimited calls and texts to standard UK numbers, but when roaming in Europe, calls, texts and data are covered by a flat £2 daily roaming charge when used. This means the charge isn’t applied to each individual call.
We’re particularly sorry that you weren’t able to get your roaming data working while you were away. We would always encourage customers experiencing problems abroad to get in touch with us, as our team can help troubleshoot roaming issues and, where possible, get things working again.
We’ve since spoken with you directly and hope we’ve been able to address some of your concerns. We really appreciate the feedback, and we’ll continue to work on making our roaming information as clear as possible so customers know exactly what to expect when travelling.

Much easier than I expected …
Although I was apprehensive about switching providers, it was quick and quite easy, and I kept my number. The customer service was helpful. Everything works exactly as it should and it feels good knowing I’m doing some small good in the world. I would highly recommend!

Been with ecotalk for a few months
Been with ecotalk for a few months. Found I was using a bit more data than my existing package. Sent an email request to upgrade. Everything was sorted out within an hour. Super simple and easy. Nice to deal with a human via email instead of a dumb chat bot. Very pleased I switched to ecotalk - hope the wildlife flourishes as a result of their efforts.
