Easy switchover and great price
Amended review to 5 stars as I had a signal problem but this has been resolved using wifi calling. I was quickly contacted by Ecotalk who explained what to do clearly. Very happy I switched!

Very easy to switch to Ecotalk and moving to an eSIM for the first time went smoothly. As I signed up on a Friday afternoon my old number wasn’t switched over until the following Monday but the website made that clear so not a problem. Not the cheapest packages on the market but am very happy to be supporting wildlife instead of shareholder profits - will be recommending Ecotalk to all my family and friends 😀

Be aware this is a fraudulent company
They cut me off while I was in the middle of updating my navigation and safety systems on my boat which is due to be launched tomorrow. I now have the dilemma of cancelling my lift in and losing over a £1000 or if go to sea with out navigation systems? I have paid for an unlimited data sim but they say they cut me off because I used 500gb of data? This is a fraudulent company selling unlimited data thats not unlimited. Do not trust this company they have put my family's and mine and the boat in serious danger

What a wonderful patient and clever real human being. I was helped throughout the process of finding an error in my SIM card with gentle and kind patience. New customer - love it so far!
After the awful experience with GiffGaff, I needed a new provider ASAP so that my daughter had a working phone for emergencies traveling between school and home. I looked into EcoTalk because I love its ethos, but assumed it would be expensive, but I was wrong!
I bought the £4 per month SIM for my daughter's basic phone - it's so cheap! After worrying that the SIM wouldn't arrive for the 3-5 working days and she'd have to go without, it arrived on a Saturday after ordering on a Thursday - so dispatch was fast and they chose to go with the trusted Royal Mail rather than Evri, so nothing got lost!
The website UI is clean and easy to use. It was easy to set my password in general, but went round in circles a little. Activation overall was simple and the fact that they sort out switching your number automatically if you gave them the PAC code in advance is amazing customer service.
I haven't had to contact them so far, but the fact that they are open about their phone number and email address is miles ahead of GiffGaff in terms of customer service.
And they are open about the quality of signal *before* you sign up, which is amazing. I did find it a bit worrying that you pay in advance before getting the SIM, when other companies do it slightly differently sometimes, but I need not have worried - it arrived fast and I feel so much better knowing we are using a responsible and ethical company like EcoTalk.
I use O2 for my phone (it's one of the few decent ones for signal in my area), but I'm tempted to change to EcoTalk too (partly for the rewilding projects, partly for convenience and good customer service). However, I'll be sensible and see how it goes with my daughter's phone first haha!
The number hasn't even transfered yet, I was just so happy to see the SIM arrive early that I left a review.

A win win all round
Great to support a company doing things for our British wildlife.
Changing over from our old supplier was very straightforward and a new SIM card was delivered with easy to follow instructions. Kept the same number with no issues and connection with ecotalk is better than before as we now get 5g everywhere as opposed to only 4g previously. Very happy all round.

Switch over was really easy and quick
Switch over was really easy and quick, very glad I was able to keep the same mobile number as I've had it almost 20 years now. It also helps that I'm getting a much better deal than my last provider offered and I feel better knowing my money is going towards sustainability research and rewilding schemes.
