As a member of the family, I feel it is vital to set the record straight. The previous negative review is a complete misrepresentation of the facts. The individual who wrote it failed to make the necessary payment and, as a result, forwent their status as the informant.
Another family member had to step in to settle the account to ensure the funeral could take place. Consequently, the firm correctly and legally released the ashes to the deceased’s daughter, who is the co-executor of the estate.
Edd Frost was put in an incredibly difficult position, yet he acted with the utmost care, integrity, and professionalism throughout. This reviewer does not represent the views of the rest of the family, who are all deeply grateful for the service provided. We would thoroughly recommend Edd Frost & Daughters to anyone.

Avoid this firm.

I experienced seriously poor service from Edd Frost & Daughters at one of the worst times of my life. Instead of calm, competent and careful handling, I was met with poor communication, inconsistent administration, and decisions being handled in a way that caused unnecessary confusion and distress.

The worst part was discovering, only after I chased for an update, that my mother’s ashes had already been released. I had not been told beforehand, was given no proper notice, and had no opportunity to be involved. That cannot be put right.

The funeral director lost sight of the fact that I am my mother’s son and should have been kept informed and involved.

There were repeated failures throughout, including important communications not being properly shared and receipts not being handled properly. Instead of easing the burden during bereavement, this firm added to it.

I would not recommend them.
