Been dealing with this company for three years. They know their stuff about Whisky. I always judge a company by how they deal with things if something goes awry. It did a bit, but it was dealt with swiftly and well. My experience shows that investing in a cask or two is definately better than other such investments like shares as the Whisky matures and increases in value with age. I recommend giving these guys a go.

Just sold a cask through Thomas at Elite Wine and Whisky as I needed the funds for another project, good communication from Thomas. A good and pleasant experience ☺️

Whisky experience
I invested a small amount of money in the whisky market 2+ years ago and left elitewineandwhisky to manage it. I was recently advised by Thomas Johnson to sell. The profit was 25% net over that time. I felt that Thomas had given me good advice for what I had considered a short term investment. I found him very personable, easy to talk to and was happy to answer my queries consequently I have every confidence in his ability to manage my other investments with the company.

Have invested over a couple of years. First cask is a long term investment. I then had a very disappointing experience with a couple of unwanted purchases. However a new manager joined about 6 months ago and is doing a really positive job of unwinding the position.

Recently, I decided to sell my collection and was thrilled with the outcome. I come on board with elite back end of 2019. Ive been dealing with Declan Morgan for the last 2 years and really happy with how he’s kept me informed on the market. I was dealing with another company alongside and then moved my casks over to elites storage due to constant pushy sales tactics, that’s once thing Declan has never tried with me. I had a troubled time with EW&W to start with. Having been sold the moon and stars about what endless profits I’ll make with Cameron. Jumping through different loops and going through periods of extremely good communication (particularly when I was being sold goods) to the complete opposite. I had a turbulent time trying to sell one cask UNTIL Thomas Johnson joined the company. He has completely restored my confidence in the company and made me a great return in a very short period of time. We were having a difficult experience trying to sell a couple of our casks until Thomas Johnson joined EW&W and took over really turning things around. He sorted a sale fairly quickly and kept in touch throughout the process. I have attended 2 distillery tours organised recently by Elite and have thoroughly enjoyed both. The Clydeside distillery tour was particularly enlightening proving you don't need to drive 100 miles up the A9 or cross to an island to sample a nice whisky. All I needed was my bus pass ! Oliver and his team at Elite have been the perfect hosts and I would recommend them to anybody who was considering in investing in whisky.

Following an initial enquiry via an online search, I was contacted by Oliver from EW&W who was great. Talked me through the whisky investment from start to finish, options for buying, types of whisky, exit strategies....everything. I did explain that I was not ready to invest, just doing background research, but this didn't change how Oliver approached his work. He continued to advise, help, direct and listen throughout our many phone calls. He was professional, personable and really made me feel at ease and didn't put any pressure on me at any time to pursue an investment.
