I would give this 0 stars if I could. The products are cheap, the customer service terrible, and the return policy a complete sham. There is nothing redemptive nor worth buying from this company.

Please be aware anyone purchasing from…

Please be aware anyone purchasing from this company, I purchased a parasol on the 20th June it arrived around a week later when it was opened I noticed it was lop sided when standing in the base, when I looked more closely I noticed on one place the fabric was splitting and the spikes were bent which was why the fabric was showing signs of splitting. I sent this back at my cost as basically this is a cheap poor quality parasol for £150 so not a cheap price, I could have returned this as it is within the returns period but sent it back as faulty Ella James now trying to say I caused this fault as it has fallen over although no signs on the parasol of it falling over.

I sent them an email on the 23rd July, it is now 4th Aug and they have not answered nor have they refunded me for the parasol they now have the money and the parasol plus I have paid the carriage costs to return !
And no word from them - I cannot recommend this company their products appear cheap and not value for money.

Huge dissatisfaction with UK delivery service

Huge dissatisfaction with the recent UK delivery service for the baby bed I ordered - yes, a bed that costs £1000.

Unfortunately, the delivery experience was far from acceptable and caused a great deal of frustration.

Here is a summary of the issues encountered:

1. Lack of proper communication regarding delivery time
2. The delivery company failed to deliver the furniture to my flat
3. The situation became even more frustrating when the delivery driver left a large, heavy wooden piece behind. This piece was not part of the furniture package and should have been taken back by the delivery company. Now, my husband and I are left figuring out how to dispose of this item on our own, which I believe is entirely unreasonable.

In conclusion, the entire delivery process was extremely unpleasant, and it has led me to reconsider any future purchases. While there are several items I am still interested in buying from their website, this negative experience with the delivery partner gives me serious pause.

To Ellajames, I would recommend reconsidering your choice of UK delivery partner, as the experience they provide can severely impact your customers' overall satisfaction. Based on this experience alone, I am hesitant to place future orders.

Update after seeing Ellajames reply: 1. Please reconsider choosing your UK delivery partner; 2. The delivery man told me, in a rude way, that he does not work at 2-4pm so it was not possible to stick with the original schedule. He also said that Ellajames should not decide the delivery time. 3. Your responses afterwards does not change the fact that the delivery service was terrible, unfortunately.

The delivery company confirmed that the delivery would be between 2pm and 4pm when we contacted them at 10am this morning and this was communicated to you via telephone this morning .

The driver unexpectedly arrived at 12pm, 2 hours early due to an unplanned change in his routing.

If the delivery was not possible at 12pm , we would have arranged for the driver to return later as per the original schedule.

We did notify in advance that the driver would bring the goods to reception but would not be able take the goods up to your flat as under their contract with us , they are not insured to do this.

We do pay for the pallets to be removed so that was an error on the driver's part and we asked for him to go back to your address to collect the pallet as soon as you contacted us. We have emailed to notify you of this

Ordered a baby bed & mattress the…

Ordered a baby bed & mattress the timing of delivery was impeccable and service was outstanding. Spoke directly with Ashley Todd who was understanding and listened to my concerns especially after being messed around by another company. She delivered on what she promised. Kept me promptly updated and i’m a very satisfied customer. 100% recommend and will definitely order from here again. Thank you Ashley!

Ordered a bed, excellent customer serivce

I ordered a baby bed and regretted my decision the day after. I read the reviews here and panicked because I thought I would never get my money back. But I contacted customer service in the morning, and they were so helpful and immediately gave me my money back. This experience was outstanding, and now I regret not keeping my order.

Pre ordered a product on the 9th Jan…

Pre ordered a product on the 9th Jan with an estimated shipping of mid January. I've emailed on 30th Jan and 7th Feb to ask for updates and had nothing back. Despite having two emails from DPD saying they are expecting my parcel. Either reply to emails timely or don't have one! Still no idea where my order is and my daughter's birthday is next week.

terrible customer service

Shame I hadn’t seen the reviews previously . Ella James sent my egg chair to my billing address rather than shipping address. Tried to contact customer service 16 times this morning and no luck. They say they open at 0930 but they definitely don’t. PLEASE do NOT buy from them

Dont even bother if your outside of the…

Dont even bother if your outside of the UK to look at this company. Website took order even though I checked and it stated shipping to Europe USA etc and now she says it needs crating. Im sorry but most of your product is furniture - am I the first person thats wanted to buy something from you. BTW it was a bar cart made of metal and glass. I asked them to change their website to state what they can and cannot ship. She seemed aggravated that I the customer whose money been taken for the sale was telling her she wasted my time as a designer by not being clear. I expect this from low end company and I suppose thats what they are. Don't waste your time with them. They are picking and chosing what orders to ship. As a designer - I would not recommend this company.

We are sorry to disappoint , the Bar cart that your ordered has multiple glass shelves and has proven difficult to ship within the UK so we did not want to ship it overseas and have a very high chance of it arriving damaged .

Excellent service and product,was a little unsure about using this company after reading the reviews , but I had nothing to worry about, I was in constant communication with the company via chat on their website with regards to delivery , when the egg chair arrived it was well packaged , good quality item and also I had 15 % off when i put in a code at the end of the transaction , very happy would definantly use again , thankyou Ella James

Very Poor Customer Service

Recently placed a multi item order (Xmas Gifts). On arrival I found 1 of the items was badly damaged, not unusual, often happens. The unusual bit was that there was no debris in the packaging indicating that the "Picker" knowingly dispatched a clearly broken item. As an EU customer we pay Shipping, Customs, Duty and Currency charges, EJ decided, without consultation, that a straight refund of the item cost was sufficient without offering any alternative. I requested that they ship an alternative item but they refused on the bases that the original had been refunded. Very disappointed as generally the quality of their items is very good, hence the 2 Stars. This is a Company that needs to review its Customer Service Dept.

Unprofessional customer service, DELIVERY 2 MONTHS LATE!

Product advertised as September delivery. Despite chasing and contacting an unprofessional customer service through Whatsapp, product was delivered almost 2 months late in November. Terrible customer service, will never use again. However, product was good upon late arrival, hence 2 stars.

Faulty products and appealing customer service

I highly disagree with any comments on here saying their products are quality and that their customer service is great as I have received the complete opposite. They must have had friends/ family post fake reviews as i’ve just read their reviews on their Facebook page and they’re all 1 star and say that the products are terrible as is their customer service.
I received a product which was damaged on arrival. I asked for a replacement/ refund and posted the item back. They’re claiming it was further damaged on arrival so they won’t refund me.
Which is absolutely ridiculous as it was damaged when I received it in the first place.
Will not be using this company again.
Since ordering with them and looking for a replacement I have found their products selling for half the price on other websites so would highly recommend looking elsewhere and never using this company!

Poor quality furniture

Terrible customer service, bought an expensive table which broke within six months of purchase and was told they only provide a guarantee for 30 days! To be avoided if you are looking for quality furniture, very disappointing.

Not good at all

Unknowingly ordered a metal firepit through them via Notonthehighsteet as a Christmas present to my husband. When he opened the box on Christmas Day, the item had huge cracks in it. It has taken me 2 weeks and numerous e-mails to get a refund. Ella James' customer service is non-existent. They even claimed not to have received the item back, when they were the ones who had arranged the return via UPS and had the tracking code telling them who it had been delivered to. Stay clear.

there is no way to apply a coupon code…

there is no way to apply a coupon code if you are ordering from he US. i thought it was because i was ordering off my phone but it still gave me no option to apply a discount code when i used my laptop.

TERRIBLE service

TERRIBLE service. After 21 days and despite repeated promises of delivery the product was not sent. There was no record of it on TNT's system, no reponse from Ella James to my calls, no refund. I have had to open a Paypal case to get my money back.
